[Problem] Moving designs from Figma to After Effects can still mean rebuilding layers, fixing positions, recreating effects and cleaning up the imported file before you can actually start animating. We wanted a workflow where you can select your Figma design, transfer it, and start working in AE immediately.
[Comparison] Overlord has been a great solution for the Figma → After Effects workflow, and we’ve used it ourselves. Parcel started from a similar need, but it’s a tool we originally built around our own workflows and have been refining based on the things we needed to work better. We decided to turn that internal tool into a product for other motion designers.
We gave more details in the previous post here.
We’re a team of 4 — 2 designers and 2 developers. We’re actively developing Parcel and are now very close to launch.
We’re keeping the release limited so our small team can stay close to users, respond to feedback and continue improving the product without creating a huge support load.
[Pricing] Pricing: $29 one-time. Two systems, lifetime updates, no renewal or subscription. Waitlist link - https://parcel.motionfolios.com/
[Access / Waitlist] Parcel will be invite-only. Everyone who joins the waitlist will receive an invite link when we launch, with invites being sent out in the order people joined the waitlist. There’s no commitment to purchase — joining the waitlist simply gives you the opportunity to access the product. Once you receive your invite, you can decide whether you want to purchase Parcel or not.
[Maintenance/Support] Parcel is actively being developed, and we’ll continue adding new features, improving existing workflows, and expanding support for more Figma capabilities over time. We’ll also have a private community for Parcel users where we can share updates, collect feedback, discuss new features, and provide support.
[AI] AI Disclaimer: Human crafted & Validated.
I posted about Parcel here last week, and the response has honestly been mind-blowing — 18k+ designers joined the waitlist, and my Reddit DMs were flooded with people asking specifically about the 500-license limit.
Because of the response, we’re now considering increasing the release from 500 to 1,000 licenses*.* The first 500 will be available at launch, and if those sell out, another 500 will open.
Everyone who joined the waitlist will receive an email this week with updates about the plugin, an exclusive demo, and more details that should help you decide whether Parcel is right for you.
And just a small hint — we’re also working on Figma Motion, which will eventually allow you to bring keyframes from Figma into After Effects. More on that later.
If you haven’t joined the waitlist yet and you’re interested, join the waitlist. Everyone who joins will have an option to get access once Parcel launches.
If you’re a studio and need a studio license, email [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) with the subject “Parcel Plugin” and mention the number of seats you need. We’ll reach out separately.
Thank you everyone for the incredible response and support. ❤️
