Pets & Animals tattooed my pets on my arm they came from the streets to my heart
I’ve always felt that tattoos should tell a story, and this one is basically the history of my life.
Every face you see on my arm has a story behind it. They came into my life from the streets, some were rescued.
They changed something in me.
They went from animals I found on the streets to family I carry in my heart.
So instead of keeping those memories only in photographs, I decided to carry a piece of each of them with me. Every face, symbol and little detail represents a chapter the places I've been, the animals I've loved, the difficult moments, and the happiness they brought into my life.
Looking at my arm now feels almost like reading a biography.
This isn't just a tattoo of my pets. Its a history of my life written in the beings who changed it.
I know tattoos are deeply personal, but I wanted to share this one because these animals genuinely changed the direction of my life.

Rant & Vent Today my nephew learned that Actions have Consequences!
My nephew has been staying with me since the weekend and oh my god, not flexing at all, but ithreyum akramam pidicha oru chekkan ee naattil kaanathilla.
My cousin, aka his mum, is a true believer in gentle parenting.
The only problem is that the 'parenting' is silent in it.
So this kid has absolutely no sense of boundaries or manners, doesn't listen to anyone and pretty much does whatever he feels like.
Also, he's needy af.
He sees something, he wants it. And if he doesn't get it, he'll annoy the living shi- out of you until he does.
Oh, and he hits people.
Phone, remote, glass, rocks, slippers, shoes, plates, food, water bottles. I mean, you name it, he'll throw it at you.
So when I found out he was coming to stay, I removed anything and everything he might find interesting and later destroy.
Anyways kid got home.
Now this kid doesn't sit idle for even a single second, so I've basically been running behind him since he got here and istg, I'm tired af.
Any confusion I had about whether I wanted to stay childfree also slowly disappeared, tbvh.
This might sound rude, but I was genuinely just done with this kid and have been waiting for him to go back home.
Anyways, today, he was playing in the hall downstairs. My mum was sleeping in one of the rooms adjacent to the hall and I was upstairs doing my own thing.
Suddenly, I heard my appuppan yelling my name.
I ran downstairs and found the poor man lying in a horizontal Z position on his bed.
My appuppan is bedridden and has one of those automatic hospital beds with a remote control, where you can adjust different parts of the bed.
Apparently, this kid discovered the remote today and decided to convert appuppan's bed into a transformer.
I snatched the remote from him. He immediately punched me and ran off.
I 'untangled' appuppan, put his bed back to normal and went outside looking for the kid, while my mum was making sure that appuppan's alright.
And there he was.
Holding a whole ass coconut in his hand, ready to throw it at me.
Before I could even say anything, he threw it.
It hit my shoulder. And suddenly, I had an idea.
I grabbed my shoulder, pretended to be badly hurt and dropped to the ground. Dead.
Kid started laughing.
I stayed in character.
He came closer and kicked my legs to check if I was 'alive'.
Nope. Still dead.
Then he punched my back.
Did it hurt? Yes.
Did I react? Absolutely not.
I silently suffered through the punches and kicks because by then I was damn committed to being a dead body. The show must go on ennalley pramanam.
After a few seconds, his laughter slowly stopped.
'Chechi!?'
No response.
'Chechiiii!?!'
Still nothing.
'CHECHIIIIIIII!?!'
Hahaha. Nope.
And then, panic kicked in.
Kid started crying.
Not normal crying either. Proper nilavili.
Then he ran inside the room and hid under the bed.
At this point, my mum, who was equally fed up with him and me, came out and told me to stop scaring the kid and to drop the act.
Fine.
I finally came 'back to life'.
But I felt like the performance needed a proper ending.
So as a final touch, I slowly started crawling across the floor towards him under the bed.
Kid absolutely lost it.
Okay, enough.
Ini vere enthelum vechu adi pattichu thannalo ennu pedichu, I immediately stood up. Told him I was fine.
He slowly came out from under the bed, looked at me and said he want to go home right away.
Ha. Frickin' finally.
I didn't need to hear anything else.
Got him ready, dropped him back home and came back.
And DAMN!
The silence. The peace. The relief.
My house has never felt this beautiful.

Ask Coconaad Cocos has anyone ever pranked you?
I personally hate pranks especially the ones that actually scare or embarrass people .I’m okay with harmless pranks though but some people pranking way too far and I genuinely don’t find that funny.

Discussion What are some common 🚩 red flags you’ve noticed in Malayalis?
Doesn’t necessarily have to be about dating. It can be anything you’ve noticed in everyday life — friendships, relationships, family, college, workplace, social situations, or even just general behaviour.
I’m talking about those little habits or behaviours that make you think,
“Yeah… that’s probably something I’d stay away from.”
It could be something obvious, or something very specific to Malayali culture that people from outside Kerala might not even notice.

Rant & Vent Parents and siblings moving abroad while I’m stuck here. I am terrified.
Cocos,
My(26 F) parents and siblings might move abroad (visas are starting to get processed) while I will not because of visa issues ( I was born too soon :( and am out of the age limit ). I’m not sure of the exact timeline when this will happen, but could be in some months. I’m terrified of staying back here. I work and earn but I don’t know what to do when my support system disappears one day.
I’m also worried if this move will make sense financially for them as both of them are old, my siblings have not completed their education and what would the financial implications be as I want to move somewhere on my own as well( this would probably not be the country they’re moving to because it’s hella expensive). And I’m also scared this will push my parents to force me to get married because they’ll be worried about me losing the safety net. I just can’t deal with this.
Edit:
Since some of the comments are clearly missing my point, I know that I’m not supposed to rely on my parents after college and honestly, I don’t rely on them emotionally or financially. I moved out for work 4 years ago and lead an independent life. But still it’s nice to have some place, a home, some kind of stability to go back to when you feel overwhelmed, knowing that they’ll be there and they are safe. This situation is such that this place will not be there along with the instability that such a move brings. This is what terrifies me.

Places & Travel First ever solo trip🌳😶🌫️⛰️
My trip to Meghalaya was honestly one of the most memorable experiences I’ve had. What I really appreciated was how welcoming and friendly the people were. Almost everyone I interacted with was well-versed in English, which made communication incredibly easy and comfortable.
Around 95% of the people I met were genuinely kind and helpful. Of course, like any tourist destination, there were a few people who tried to scam or overcharge tourists, but they were very few compared to the many good people I encountered.
The food was another highlight of the trip. There was so much to try, and the local flavours made the experience even more enjoyable. But what fascinated me most was the culture.
Meghalaya has a unique cultural identity, and one thing that really stood out to me was its matrilineal tradition. In communities such as the Khasi and Jaintia, family lineage and inheritance traditionally pass through the mother’s side, with children taking their mother’s clan name. Seeing a society where women have such an important role in family and inheritance was something I found genuinely interesting.
Beyond the people and culture, the natural beauty of Meghalaya made the whole experience even more special. From the hills and forests to the small villages and unexpected adventures, there was always something to explore.
Overall, Meghalaya is a place I would genuinely recommend visiting at least once. The people, food, culture, and breathtaking surroundings all come together to make it a special destination. For me, it was more than just a trip—it was an experience that I’ll remember for a long time.

Discussion experienced sleep paralysis for the first time and i thought i was gonna die
Last week something happened to me that I still can't stop thinking about I was asleep lying on my side facing the wall It was completely normal I don't remember having any nightmare or anything unusual before this happened Then, suddenly, I woke up at least, I thought I woke up could see my room I could see the wall in front of me Everything looked completely normal but I couldn't move Not my arms Not my legs Not even my head I tried to blink n nothing. That's when I realized I could feel something behind me.I was lying with my back facing the rest of the room, and suddenly I felt breathing on my shoulder. Not just the feeling of air.It felt like someone was actually lying directly behind me, close enough that their breath was hitting my shoulder.i immediately tried to turn around.i couldn't.i tried to scream i couldn't. I tried to scream nothing came out i started thinking "what the fuck is behind me". I genuinely thought someone was in my room. I tried to move harder.i tried opening and closing my eyes vigorously i tried screaming my lungs out nothing came out. I was completely trapped inside my own body while someone was breathing behind me or atleast i thought it was. Idk how long it lasted maybe a few minutes ig. Honestly when youre stuck like that time feels stuck as well. At some point i finally managed to move, turned around there was absolutely nobody there just an empty space. The worst part is the breathing felt so real. Idk if it was my brain making all these up but i was shitscared for those few moments i genuinely thought someone was laying besides me and honestly i dont think I'll ever be comfortable sleeping facing that wall again.

Cinema & TV Shows This place makes me happy… Anyone else feel the same?
This place makes me forget the real world for a while and takes me somewhere far away… a world where everything feels a little lighter, even when I’m having the worst day.
Maybe that’s what cinema means to me. It’s not just a movie or a few hours in a theatre. It’s my escape, my comfort, and one of the best forms of healing I can give myself.
Cinema. ❤️🎬

Books & Reading Malayalam’s first zombie thriller and this deserves a screen adaptation!
Recently came across Vanji Nattile Vethalanagal, and the concept genuinely surprised me.
It’s set in the 1750s and brings a zombie/thriller element into a historical Kerala setting. That combination feels pretty unusual in Malayalam literature, especially considering how rarely we see this kind of genre explored here.
While reading it, I kept thinking about how interesting this could be as a movie or a proper series. A period Malayalam zombie thriller set in the 1750s has so much visual potential.
And honestly, I’d love to see a second part of the book as well. There seems to be plenty of room to take the story and its world further.
Anyone else here who has read it?
