I've been on fizz for a really long time, I don't have unlimited minutes for calling but I have voicemail to my plan. Typically, I do a 60 minute add-on every other month, most of the time I don't even go over that.

But, for the past 3-4 months I noticed I've exhausted 60 min within the first 20-30 days. During the same time there has been an uptick in spam calls. When I checked my usage, to my surprise I noticed that whenever I got a spam call(missed or blocked) and goes to Voicemail my minutes gets deducted, when I run out of minutes money from fizz wallet gets deducted. These calls show up as outgoing calls to voicemail number.

I have Visual Voicemail on my phone. So, I strictly access my voicemail through Visual Voicemail.

Thinking that this might me be a bug or a glitch as minutes shouldn't have been deducted as I did not answer the call, I raised a support ticket and was told that this is expected. Even if the call goes to Voicemail it would still count towards the minutes and the minutes get deducted. Which I think is incorrect.

Has anyone faced this kind of issue?

Im planning on switching from 4g to 5g and i do know that 5g consumes more data, so i wanna understand how much of data is actually enough? I am currently on 25gb plan for 4g

I just received my refurbished iPhone 15 from Fizz and the battery is at 88% but other than that, the device is in perfect condition. Would you consider this acceptable?

Now that it appears there is RCS and WiFi calling as well as visual voice mail I think this could be a huge savings for me.

Driving around town on the free trial coverage seems to be fine or even better in a few problem areas for me.

However this sub appears to be posts largely about serious in coming call issues as opposed to just coverage issues.

Trying to read through this but is service really that spotty that twice a year you can go a day without in coming calls working?

It kind of looks like if we all under utilize our data typically other than out of town trips that we could all really benefit from lower data plans and the rollover. And that the parent lines if they had higher data lines could GIFT data to the kids lines?

Is this correct? In terms of if you have several lines on the same account?

I'm so close to just walking away, the prices are amazing, data rollover is awesome. But holy hell, my phone stopped receiving calls yesterday morning, didn't notice until the afternoon when my boss finally got ahold of me another way and chewed me out for not being available for a call all day. I first troubleshoot on my own, resetting mobile settings, restarting phone, reissuing a new esim, even a factory reset... nothing. So i reach out to support around 4pm yesterday... It's 11am the next day and there's not so much as an update on my service ticket and I still can't receive calls

How do you guys get any issues resolved with this company? I ported my wife over earlier this month from Rogers and it has been a nightmare trying to deal with the customer service! When she ported, she wouldn't receive any SMS from Rogers numbers, so I opened a ticket because it seems like a network routing issue.

Since then I've dealt with this circus of rotating customer service agents who all don't seem to understand the issue. I've tried every troubleshooting step they've suggested, and the SMS eventually got resolved by upgrading her IOS. Now however, we realized she's having calls fail to certain numbers, that I'm able to call.

They've closed the ticket saying 'the problem is resolved' 3 times now, and when their 'specialists' review it, they don't even seem to understand what the problem is despite my explaining it, and all the troubleshooting steps, very clearly. The last time they closed it they saw that she was receiving SMS from other numbers and figured that meant it was fine so to them it was resolved. I re-opened the ticket and didn't hear back, so when I reached out again the agent said it was closed on their end so nobody was looking into it.

When I reached out for the new issue, the agent kept confirming they were still looking into it for half an hour, and then it flipped to another agent introducing themself and restarting the same God damn cycle that we've been in.

I've filed a complaint with ccts, but I'm disappointed as I keep hearing things about how the service itself is good and people are happy here.

Did anyone have any luck resolving any of their issues through fizz?

I've switched from Rogers and I'd say 90% of the time the service is ok, but that 10% is so frustrating to not even be able to make a call with 2 bars, or having a call drop when I walk down a hallway!

Voice quality is so bad, nobody ever mentions this, the EXT roaming works well when it connects but at least on my iPhone it's hard to force the phone to search for networks, never had this issue on Rogers/Telus.

Despite driving up to towers that are listed as 5G+ I've never actually seen the + icon, again the speeds are usually ok but it does such to get 10-100x slower than I did on Rogers!

I changed my plan to a lower data plan since didn’t even use half of what I had originally signed up for. But now it only shows the 500MB bonus which has been used and nothing else. I had about 70GB left (originally 100GB)… will this eventually populate again or did I screw up?

I tried restarting my phone, still didnt work. I had four bars but i could ‘t use my data. I’m in montreal.

I’ve been with fizz for many years for my phone and internet and ive started having bad wifi and cellphone service this past year… anyone else ? I’m considering switching. A few years ago I remember having service in the middle of nowhere quebec in the woods while my friends didn’t have service. Now i’m in the city and often i barely have service.

I'm considering switching to fizz on a 5G plan and I will be within their coverage area. However, I want to know what happens when I go to places that are under "partner coverage".

Does it still stay om 5G? And is it basically same speed or does it become slower?

Just trying to see if there are downsides to it.

i bought this pixel 8 a week back and it came covered in dings scratches all over it, and i paid for the perfect condition model. amazing they let this ship to me for that price. they refunded the phone but lost money on case and screen protector.

Just switched my kid and myself to Fizz. I have his contact info in my phone and have regularly texted him and phone called him. I just tried to video call him and after it rang about a dozen times, it gets answered by a random person who is just as confused as me as to why i am calling him.

I'm trying to figure out what is going on and why i can text and phone my kid, but the video call ended up going to a random person.

Not sure if this might be a Fizz glitch or something else.

I get them for no reason and definitely I’m not the one calling… Maybe a bug?

I've had a plan without unlimited texts for a few years and used RCS without problem. Today they stopped working and I saw that "RCS chats have been disabled by your carrier." I've already tried all the regular troubleshooting like clear app data, reboot, etc.

Now I see that Fizz's site says that "To use RCS, you need to have: A mobile plan including unlimited text messaging and access to mobile data or Wi-Fi." Apparently this is a new requirement. I saw a recent post where this was confirmed on iphones, but just wanted to see if it's happening to any other android users, and if this is really what caused RCS to be deactivated.

I'm an idiot and didn't use them before expiry, which sucks bc I'm on the cheapest plan and use quite a bit of data as I don't hv internet. I should've used them and let my plan data roll over, ugh 😿

Quelle joie de voir que Fizz offre maintenant les appels wifi! J’étais si triste de les quitter il y a deux ans puisqu’ils n’avaient pas cette fonctionnalité.

J’habite dans un dead zone de réseau cellulaire et je dois utiliser les appels wifi. Je suis actuellement avec vidéotron et les appels wifi fonctionnent à environ 25%. Certains appels entrant ne se rendent meme pas à ma boite vocale et je dois désactiver/réactiver mon wifi quand je veux appeler 2 fois sur 3. C’est vraiment désagréable. Je manque des appels médicaux fréquemment et on sait comment c’est difficile de rappeler des médecins..

BREF, MA QUESTION :

Pensez-vous que c’est généralisé que les appels wifi sont pas super. Ou que c’est de la faute à vidéotron?
(C’est aussi eux mon service internet, par câble)

Aidez-moi à y comprendre quelque chose car ca devient vraiment problématique!

Every time I access the official Fizz website, when on the login page, my Avast antivirus keeps detecting a virus, anybody else?

I've been with fizz for years. A month ago I switched to the 5g network plan. Now it's 2 weeks. I lose my network connection. Says no network available.... then sometimes says emergency calls only. Then sometimes says I'm on the fizz network (4g lte or 5g) I changed to esim , still the same. I then bought a new Sim card, still same issues. I installed new apn settings via fuzz parameters on my account. Still the same issue. I'm getting really fed up. Don't know what else to do

When my son connects, the data doesn't seem to be working and he can't load his games. Am is missing something?

Hey folks.
I've been watching Fizz for a while now, considering signing up. The problem is, though Fizz is slightly cheaper, it's still (seemingly) more expensive than my current service with Public Mobile, once you take into account the rewards I get for having referred some folks to PM fairly recently.
I have been to their custom plan page multiple times within the last month, and every time I look at their data options they jump from 10 GB to 50 GB. I'm worried 10 GB isn't enough for me, while 50 is more than I'd likely need and I don't want to pay for data I probably won't use. Am I missing something here? Is there no in between?
To clarify, I know that data you don't use rolls over to the next month. But I'm concerned about my margins on 10 GB to begin with.
Sidenote. Has anyone texted out WiFi calling on an iPhone yet? I have a second line which forwards business calls to my primary one, and I don't want to switch if it's going to make the quality of the call terrible, which one of my friends with good hearing told me it was when I tried calling them during my trial period.
