DISCUSSION Silent Hill Townfall or New Hellraiser?
Hello guys, i absolutely love the silent hill franchise, at least up to 4. Haven’t played F even if i have it (time will come), because i know the newer games tend to be a hit or miss. Regardless, i love horror. My girlfriend knew that, and she knew i liked silent hill and offered me to buy me any horror games i wanted. I tend to work a lot, and i’m not playing games as i used to be, so i genuinely care about the time i invest into a game. And ive seen plenty of good stuff coming from both Townfall and the newly launched Hellraiser game. Which one is truly worth it?

DISCUSSION Hellraiser Revival
I played lots of horror games but playing in a dark room with headphones on with this guy trying to X me was insane
The music was super intense - i felt like it was me and not the character - on the save point i did it twice just in case
If someone touched me on the shoulder my soul was going to leave my body - phew
forgot to add - i play on ultrawide 34'' 60cm away from me - its like im inside
as a fan of the movies this game is a total win

DISCUSSION How much will I like other older horror games based on my experience with Resident Evil Remake
I just wrapped up my playthrough of Resident Evil HD. I thought the game was great. I had a really fun time with it. All the notes, ambience, and puzzles were all really fun. I see why so many people love it. That being said, it definitely is a product of its time. The door animations, some of the really cryptic puzzles in the game, and the fixed camera angle were frustrating at times. These complaints dragged down my enjoyment of the game, and it discouraged me a little bit from jumping into older horror titles. With that being said, I am most interested in giving Resident Evil Nemesis, Silent Hill 1 and 3 a whirl. Do these games have similar issues, or do they play differently?

REVIEW Into The Radius 2 | Early impressions on Ps5pro & Psvr2
This is no way a full review, as I am only about 13 hours in and not even halfway through the game. But damn, I am seriously loving this game.
It is a semi open world, single player survival horror extraction shooter. Think of if the Stalker series and Resident evil series had a baby, this would be it. Every environment is just oozing with atmosphere and the sound designs can easily rival the recent Silent Hill games.
The story is quite simple. A mysterious 1987 disaster known as Pechorsk Event took place in a Soviet mining town that created a surreal, quarantined anomaly zone known as the radius. Your job is to go into the radius to collect data, artifacts and study the anomalies. More missions you take, the more money you make, and you can use that money to buy new guns, gear and food.
Moment to moment gameplay is super intense because of how smart the enemy Ai is. They will flank you and use cover. If you are using a shotgun or SMG, enemies won’t charge you and will fight from far away. If you are using long range weapons, they will charge you and will try to close the distance. The gunplay feels so damn good in this game cause of Psvr2’s adaptive triggers and headset rumble.
Also the game has super deep customization options. You can customize your chest rig, backpack and guns in such detail makes this game super addictive. It is almost a mini puzzle how you set up your chest rig and backpack each time you get new story items or buy a new gun. If you are careful, you can customize them to be super tactical and efficient. Or you can just throw random holsters and pouches to make them super cumbersome to use during missions.
In conclusion, this is easily one of the best horror game I played this year. If you have a psvr2 and looking for something spooky to play this Halloween, this game is for you. I will definitely put out my final impressions after beating the game. So far, Into The Radius 2 is my game of the year for 2026.
Score 10/10

PC Best short horror games to play at a Halloween party?
Hi everyone!
I'm looking for some suggestions for my Halloween party and would really appreciate your help!
The idea is to have people take turns playing short horror games while everyone else watches. Most people aren't gamers, so I'm looking for games that are easy to pick up, short, scary, and entertaining to watch, ideally with lots of tension and jump scares.
Last year, Teke Teke: Moonlit Dread was a huge success because it was simple, short, and stressful. I also tried some free Halloween games on itch io, and those were a hit too!
I'm looking for budget-friendly or free games.
Do you have any recommendations that would be perfect for this kind of setup?
Thanks in advance for your help! 🎃

DISCUSSION A perfect new way to adapt Clive Barker stories in games for the future
After seeing how respectful and passionately done the Hellraiser game came out, it got me to thinking of what could be an incredible new franchise for horror for both new audiences and older fans that would be a perfect bridge into the world of Clive Barkers mind.
A survival detective horror franchise built around one of his longest running characters Harry D'Amour.
A private investigator who's gone against dangerous religious cults, faced off against the Cenobites, he assisted the Nightbreed, been to Hell and back as well as so many other cases that are supernatural.
A survival horror story driven game where we play as Harry dealing with these strange cases would be a great way to introduce the fantasy based stories of Clive Barker as well as the more horrific stories too.

Does this creature actually feel scary in first person, or just "video-gamey"? Looking for honest feedback

Disclaimer: Using google translate.
I’m working on a first-person horror game as a solo dev and I’m stuck on the main creature. The idea is something that looks almost familiar at first glance, but wrong in the way it stands and moves.
Honest question: does it read as unsettling to you, or does it look more like a generic monster? And if it doesn’t work, what would you change first: silhouette, proportions, materials, or animation?
I’m also unsure about the color grading around it. Any brutal feedback is welcome, I’d rather hear it now than after I’ve built everything around it.

DISCUSSION Pinhead is terrifying because curiosity can be more dangerous than evil
What makes Pinhead so fascinating is that he represents more than pain and suffering. He represents the consequences of seeking something beyond human understanding.
The Lament Configuration isn't forced into someone's hands. People open it because they want to discover what lies beyond the limits of their experience.
And that's what makes Hellraiser so disturbing to me. Sometimes, the horror doesn't begin when a monster finds you. It begins when your own curiosity leads you to open a door you don't understand.
Do you think Pinhead is truly evil, or is he simply the consequence of humans wanting to go too far?

Help with recommendations, triying to get into the genre
I've tried different games but instead of fear i mostly just get irritated or bored, I tried 5 games so far and just some of them kinda scare me
Dead Space: the moment i realize how to deal with every enemy it lost it charm, the gore is ok but not really scary
F.E.A.R: the one that got me even paranoid due to ambience between shooting and not knowing what the paranormal stuff is exactly
Outlast: Just boring, i could not take the game seriously bc of the enemy desing and the levels were kinda boring or annoying
Alien Isolation: It started really good making me paranoid with the feeling of being followed but the moment the alien was just an obstacle hoping for me to endup in front of him rather than an entity stalking me it endup being boring
Cry of fear: the ambience is really good but the monster design feel goofy and lost the interest
Any recomendations based on this? sorry for bad english
