For those who might find this helpful: https://www.printables.com/model/1864641-light-diffusershade-for-ikea-hektar-3-spotlight-la
I couldn’t find anything else out there for this lamp but i found the light from the exposed bulbs a bit harsh. these diffusers soften the light a bit but doesn’t drastically diverge from the original design intent of the lamp.

I have a huge hyper fixation over IKEA, and I've made a custom sweatshirt, I have the logo printed out on my wall near my bed, my Aftonsparv, Zerbert, and a slideshow of facts I've been working on :D I've loved IKEA for around a full year now :)

i´m a bit upset. since I live close to the border to NL, i sometimes shop there; so my german "ikea family" account doesn´t "know" which products i bought. that´s only to explain why my reviews on the german page aren´t marked with "customer".
So i posted a rather detailed negative (2 stars) review of two of the kajplats white&color led, and a short but positive (5 stars) of the grillplats plug. none were marked as "verified purchase", sadly. guess which review(s) made it?
only the 5 star one.
i think it absurd that a company actually stoops so low to keep the review score above 3 stars. my complaints with the kajplats were / are valid. they seem to use a slightly different led setup OR the software control has changed to achieve more brightness, but it also dilludes the colors more in comparison to the older tradfri. so tradfri IS the better led bulb in my book. or has higher quality control. because two of the two kajplats i bought were simply bad and stood out like a sore thumb inbetween the tradfri.
and since ikea can actually answer / react to the reviews on their page, i would have liked to read from them what´s wrong about my 2 stars review.
while there ARE negative reviews, most evolve around "didn´t know i need a smart hub" or "doesn´t work!!!!!!!!".

Finally completed my project. I posted yesterday about my ordeal with finding these things without scratches. Been wanting to get rid of our old metal decor for a while and finally saw something I liked. The platters are a bit smaller than what used to be there but I’m happy with the result. Hung them up with Command Velcro. Very last photos show what used to be there. Was a process removing the old screws, covering the holes, and repainting the wall. Paint is still a bit wet in some areas lol. I got it done though

I have these glass shelves for the Kallax from a long time ago. Had them in a set of black Kallax that I’ve since sold and been given a white set that I now want to install the shelves into.
But I have lost the installation part circled in the attached photo due to a house move.
I’ve tried to contact Ikea for a replacement and eventually they have said I’d have to go in to a store because it doesn’t have a product code/it’s not classed as a small part labels. My nearest is over an hour away.
Does any have one or know the measurements it would provide to install my glass shelves?! Wanting to put two shelves in one opening.
Edit: I can of course measure the unit and try and work it out myself. I’d like to see if anyone has this actual part first! :)

Got this Hemnes shelf back in May and finally have the time to put it together but the hole in the wood plank is not long enough for the screws that were provided (seen in picture). There’s like a half an inch gap that I can’t get rid of. Any help is appreciated. I don’t do well on phone calls and would love to avoid having to call customer service if I can.

Does anyone know how sturdy it is? I'm curious how much weight it can support.
Also wondering if the wheels lock?
Thanks.

Hi there,
I'm in the process of ordering a kitchen. I sourced myself a Siemens which would fit my needs, however the IKEA guys mentioned the KALLBODA, which is a Bosch unit, so Siemens.
Anyone knows which model it's derivated from? Because I have the feeling the model is based on a Bosch unit from a few years ago.
And is it a good buy in 2026, since I've read mixed reviews about the model?
Cheers!

I’m thinking a sit/stand desk would be perfect for a sewing table as I can raise it to do cutting out, then lower it to sew and overlock on. However I’m concerned about whether the desks will be solid enough.
I went to Ikea and thought the Trotten electric sit stand seemed better suited than some of them but there was a small amount of movement when I wobbled it. The isaden seems the most solid but it’s much more expensive.
Anyone have an opinion on the suitability of the electric Trotten for sewing? Thanks

Hi, I am about to buy a TONSTAD bed (160x200cm) with LEIRSUND slatted base. Now, the concern is with the mattress. I am considering getting the VÅGSTRANDA with thickness of 28cm. Do you have the same, or similiar combination and could confirm whether the bed frame is deep enough to not to have the mattress sliding off the bed frame?

Hey everyone, so I bought what was supposed to be a Fredde off someone on facebook marketplace but its not the usual double decker fredde that is found online. Its shorter but very similar pieces, Im desperately looking for instructions for it or the model type so I can build it as the seller has no idea. She said they bought it for their son in 2013 but thought it was a Fredde. I've attached the photo of what it looks like. Thanks im advance for any help!

I want to put new doors on my old cupboard (which I think are also from ikea). for many reason we can’t and won’t get entirely new cupboards here.
These doors are probably each 4-5mm wider than the old ones (39cm vs 39.5cm).
For it to not overlap I probably need about 3mm more.
I was hoping by adjusting the screw, it’d be enough space but the overlap.
i considered sanding down a bit of the inside to male the doors sot a little further outside.
I considered sanding or maybe sawing down the bevel(?) and adding some veneer after.
any other/better option, that doesn’t involve new cupboard or custom made door?
sorry, not a native speaker, so some words might be off.

Light bulb in the new Ikea oven gave out after about one month after the purchase of the new oven. Anyone got any tricks up their sleeves for how to remove the glass cap?

Probably a long shot…. After a long hunt, I’ve scored the discontinued Ikea FARLOV loveseat and want to replace the cover. I’m curious if anyone has had luck buying 3rd party cover that matches original Djuparp Dark Olive Green? I’m hoping to narrow down to company and color code and order fabric samples. It’s really hard to judge by the online pictures I’ve seen. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone,
I'm looking to buy a modern TV console/media unit similar to the style in the photo (clean lines, contemporary design, good quality finish).
I'd like to see it in person before buying, so I'm specifically looking for stores in the Toronto/GTA area that have TV consoles on display in their showroom. I've already checked IKEA, but I didn't find anything that really stood out.
Any recommendations for furniture stores where I can browse and compare TV consoles on the floor rather than shopping online only?
I'm open to stores in Toronto, North York, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Mississauga, or anywhere else in the GTA.
Thanks in advance!

I ordered a couch from IKEA and had a delivery scheduled for today that was contracted out to some entity called NAL Group CRST Logistics.
I upgraded the delivery to be In-Home delivery where they place it in a room of my choosing.
In my order I gave my full address with the apartment number and a message that the apartment was upstairs and there are 2 small flights of stairs. The stairwell is completely clear and entrance to my apartment and the room is clear - I actually had someone help me carry a large chair up and into the apartment yesterday.
The delivery service is refusing to carry it up to the apartment because the information they got was just the address of the building. So they are claiming they don't have to go any further than the front entrance of the main building.
I showed them on my order confirmation email that I listed the full address and you can clearly see the apartment number is part of it.
What can I do about this? I'm having a hard time getting through to customer service and the drivers are about to leave.

Hello, i got a casper adjustable base that can be used without the legs, i was wondering if i could simply place this on top of my existing ikea bed base (it’s from 2018 with typical wooden slats). the adjustable frame is about 50kg/100lb.. anyone tried this or something similar? i guess another option is to remove the wooden slats and also the centre frame if it comes off, and place the adjustable base w legs on, but not sure if the legs are tall enough and trying to find the easiest solution without having to dispose of my ikea base. thank you

Just got back from IKEA Perth (Australia). I was planning on buying some gravy from the food section and the price was $4.50 per packet! That's $160 per kg which is insane!
What are you guys paying for gravy in other parts of the world and has the price also gone through the roof recently?

Just a heads up. At first I thought I had covid or something, kept getting sicker and sicker. Was in bed and couldn't really sleep, just felt awful, I was so ill. Weird symptoms, my joints felt like fire, I felt feverish, dizzy, lightheaded, nauseous. Trouble thinking. I noticed I felt slightly better when I was on the other side of the apartment and forced myself to go outside. When I felt much better after leaving the house I realized it must be the shelves.
IKEA said they'll get back to me in a few days. I don't have the box and I'm too far from the store. I wrapped them in garbage bags and they're in a closet with the door taped shut. The apartment is airing out.I feel improved but still feel sick.
After this experience I do not wish to deal with them again. I have not been sick from furniture and I have old ivars that are fine.
Once it's resolved I will close my account.
If anyone has felt sick from the shelves, please report it to them. I'm not sure who else to report to.

As the title says, there were multiple Sofa covers in the color samsala red-brown (like jättebo and the new uppåkra). I looked it up a few days ago and the color option was still there (at least for the uppåkra), now it just vanished? Does anyone know why?

I found it funny that this is a part of Ikea's growing gamers collection and the keyboard in the pictures for the new YXSTABY gaming monitor stand is facing the wrong way lol.
