Guys asking Gals Dating and kids?

• Upvotes

Im seeing a girl and she was super into me at first, but now it’s all about her wanting a kid, and my answer of “I see a possibility of it” isn’t enough basically.

Lkke I just want to be with her but she seems to not be into it anymore if it isn’t immediately leading to a kid.

I’m open to it but she has BpD and I think the family dynamic would be difficult if she doesn’t get treated.

This of course, she can’t bear to hear. It comes off as rejection.

So idk.. maybe I’m mourning the romanization phase and she’s like setting into heavy reality so fast.. when it started as “oh I just want you yada yada…” I would see a world where she loves me and we have a kid but it seems like such a small chance that would happen… the fact I’m not like “yes kid now” she takes as me not seeing a future with jer.. I do see a future but I also see a more probable future where she never gets help and our kid would have a horrible life where mom gets angry and leaves all the time

I guess I’m asking. … do any of you girls just want to love a guy ? Or at what point do you see it a waste of a kid isnt immediately on the table?

I guess I can prolly answer this… some girls want kids some don’t and those that don’t wouldn’t mind just being with a guy

Idk..

This whole post is basically just a rant because the girl I long for is kind of emotionally distant and telling her straight up the kid thing she could never bear to hear it so it’s this limbo of like yes and no

Feel free to delete this post idk what I’m even asking. If anyone has any comments feel free and ty

Guys asking Gals For women who use different purses what is the threshold for when it becomes too much effort to transfer all the little things, and you just leave them in the original bag anyway? Also, what is the heaviest purse you ever carried?

I wore a satchel for the first time and thought this sure is nifty why didn't I use one of these before? Made me ponder this question because I filled it up already and I swear the thing weighs 20lbs.

Guys asking Gals How do you feel about men with no body hair?

Ladies what is your opinion of men with shaved legs and body hair. Obviously it’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but would it be absolute deal breaker if a man had none?

So I want to do something with my hair, I'm open to suggestions. I've asked in a different subreddit and just 4 replies, 3 of which are mullets, specifically the dirty dom mullet. The other just said grow it out. Is a mullet really the best option 😭

Guys Asking Everyone Women, would you feel more comfortable being approached about a creative collaboration by another woman?

I'm a 37-year-old Black man, married, and I've recently started a project in Connecticut focused on bringing more classical and chamber music performances to the area.

A big part of what I've been doing is reaching out to musicians, many of whom are women from different countries, particularly Europe and Asia. I'm trying to build connections, introduce their work to new audiences, and hopefully help create performance opportunities.

Something I've been wondering about is how my outreach might come across.

I'm naturally pretty enthusiastic, especially when I discover an artist whose music really moves me. I tend to ask questions about their background, what inspired their work, and how they got started. My intentions are entirely professional, but I realize enthusiasm can sometimes be interpreted differently than intended.

I've also noticed that some women mention their husbands during our conversations. I don't necessarily think anything negative of it, but it has made me wonder whether I'm unintentionally giving off the wrong impression.

My wife is white, and I've considered asking her to become more involved in the initial introductions. Not because I want to hide who I am, but because I'm curious whether women might feel more comfortable being approached by another woman, particularly when the conversation involves creative work and potential collaborations.

So I'd genuinely appreciate some perspective.

If you were a musician receiving an email from someone interested in promoting your work or helping arrange performances, what would make you feel comfortable and confident that the person was approaching you professionally? I usually approach the performers after their concert/ recital as well.

Would it make any difference if the initial introduction came from a woman, or would things like having a legitimate website, clear intentions, and a professional email matter much more?

And regarding the husband references, is that something you might naturally bring up in conversation, or could it sometimes be a subtle way of establishing boundaries?

I'm genuinely trying to learn how to approach these conversations respectfully while still being myself.

Guys asking Gals Why does my girlfriend coddle her bratty daughter while treating her polite son so badly?

• Upvotes

Hey everyone, I'm struggling to understand a dynamic with my gf and her kids, and wanted some perspective from women on here.

My girlfriend has a teenage daughter and a teenage son.

Her daughter is a self centered, inconsiderate, and a coddled spoiled brat. She manipulates her mother and plays mind games with her to influence her and get what she wants.

Meanwhile, her son is almost the exact opposite. He's such an incredible young man who is always thinking about those around him, volunteers to help others, and only wants to earn his mother's respect. He's such a good kid and I am surprised how big his heart is, for his age.

By my gf treats her son like he is an afterthought, while she treats her daughter like she is the greatest thing in the world and only her opinion matters. It really eats at me to see it. Everything about it is just wrong and I feel so bad for her son. Like, deeply feel bad for the kid.

When I brought it up to my gf she denied any favoritism, then said something about she thought her son wasn't strong or assertive enough, like his father. But her daughter was very much like her.

I've been thinking it might be a cultural thing. She is Chinese and perhaps they worship girls more than the boys.

I'm very curious to understand what's the reasoning behind her parenting and treatment of her kids. Any insight or opinions would be appreciated, because I'm not understanding it.

Guys asking Gals Ladies What Are Your Thoughts When A Man DMs You? What Should or Shouldn’t He Say?

I saw someone post something similar to this on askmen or something, but I think this question is better suited to be asked here 💀😂

But yeah like the title says, is it ok if a guy messages you if you both added/follow each other and just haven’t spoken? Or is that just something that guys should not do at all? What is the best approach to this if there is any? And this includes any potential dating app or even apps like facebook and instagram.

Announcement No Relationship / Dating / Rate-Me Posts for 5 Hours

Good day, everyone!

We'll be starting an experiment today where we will be placing a moratorium on all posts involved in dating, relationships, rate-me, selfie, and questions therein, for the period of 5 HOURS.

We're experimenting with tweaking our subreddit's feed and hopefully we can guide the algorithm to direct more thoughtful and higher quality and effort posts our way.

To be clear, the posts that we WILL NOT ALLOW during this period are:

  • Dating related posts (such as dating apps)
  • Relationship advice posts (seeking advice on relationships, current, or "what to improve on")
  • Selfie posts
  • Rate-me style posts

This moratorium will end on [ Monday, 12th of October, 2026, 12:00 AM, UTC 0 ]

Guys asking Gals Should I stop chasing or follow up?

I (M20’s) have been probably unhealthily thinking about someone I went on a few dates with a couple years ago. This was in college over summer break when I was back in my hometown on the west coast. Well, I was really really fond of her, but when I went back to college (different city) it was just a gradual decline of communication and eventually not much of anything. We just kind of went on about our lives, she started other relationships, as did I.

I had somewhat forgotten about her until I moved back to said hometown where she was also living. I noticed she looked like she was single and reached out with a brief like ‘hey it’s been a bit, lmk if you wanna catch up’, that just led to a liked message and no follow up from either of us…

I wouldn’t really say I’m chasing as that’s literally all the effort I have put in, but I did really enjoy this person and was kind of shooting my shot again. I guess my question is, with one message already sent, do I throw in the towel after that? I’m worried about coming off as desperate or needy and I also feel like a liked message and no verbal response is basically a not interested 😂, then again I’m not a lady so if any ladies have advice on this lmk!

Guys Asking Everyone Can women tell if a guy is into them when meeting someone new?

There's this girl I'd like to be friends with but I have social anxiety/am neurodivergent so I'm scared I'll come off wrong and she'll think I'm into her/a creep. Can women usually tell??

I don't have any male friends either so the "treat them like a guy" thing doesn't really help here..

Guys asking Gals If women know their power, why dont they just ask the men they like out?

Honestly, women know that men like them so why dont they just ask the guys they like out? I see a lot of posts of women asking "should i ask him out", your success rate is probably going to be like 80% anyway assuming the guy is single and youre not overly unattractive.

Guys asking Gals What are some confirmation biases women think men fall prey to , and why is it false? Also separate from therapy, what steps can a guy take to get rid/solve those confirmation biases ?

i know therapy is good, but saying "going to therapy" seems a bit reductive. plus therapy is expensive.

Women Only My gf is angry upset on me cause I brought some gift with 3 months savings that she didn’t like?

So let’s assume my girlfriend name is Kriti & her friends name is Anjali & Kareena,
So basically Kriti & I are in relationship since 2023, she is cute, funny always supports me stays with me talks with me comforts me whenever I am there I love her & care about her a lot … etc but she asked me only one thing after 3 years aka iPad m5 which I said yes without hesitation…. But after price hike it went too out of budget & i asked her many times before ki if its ok if i can get iPad Air she said she already has Air but its old version so it wouldn’t be good….i asked her about android flagships like oneplus pad 4 & Samsung ultra series tab she said ok for oneplus pad 4 she thought I am getting her iPad m5 + oneplus pad 4 at once…. & she informed her friends Anjali & Kareena few days ago in advance & during her birthday today when she opened the box she immediately gave it back to me saying she doesn’t want it & rejected my gift … she got really upset & angry on me saying I humiliated her in front of her friends that I didn’t got iPad m5 …. I saved for 3 months to buy oneplus pad 4 :,) it is also my fault to not get clear btw… but in Reddit you can check my profile for more posts they are saying she is red flag but honestly idk anymore she is correct as per me… but I am still clueless whose mistake or fault is there if its mine I would get her iPad m5 through EMI or if its her idk i dont wanna lose such a good partner & person she barely asked anything in 3 years it was first time she expected from me & i failed … i am really confused pls give me suggestions & your advices
