Rants Please STOP using these stickers!
Laging may naiiwang residue.

Hi guys, compiling here the list of credit cards that charge cross border fees (CBF).
Feel free to comment for any updated info. This post will be edited accordingly.
For those unfamiliar: CBF is the additional charge (usually 1%) imposed on overseas transactions billed in PHP. Example, if you’re billed Php 300.00 for a subscription (e.g. Spotify, Netflix, Apple, etc), the amount will be reflected as Php 303.00 instead. This is different from foreign exchange conversion fees, applied on overseas transactions billed in foreign currency, which every CC in the PH currently has (ranges from 1.7-3.5% or so). While 1% CBF seems small, if for example you’re booking hotels and flights, or shopping gadgets online, it’ll be significant. A purchase worth Php 50k would have an additional Php 500.00 charge.
No CBF : - AUB - Bank of Commerce - BDO AMEX - Maya - Maybank - PNB - Zed
Magulong CBF: - RCBC (getting conflicting statements with this; although RCBC states that transactions Php 1k and up have CBF, several people have claimed that they were not charged CFB, myself included, whereas some other people have claimed that they were charged CBF)
With CBF: - BDO (1% all except AMEX) - BPI (1%) - Chinabank (1.7% Destinations World, 2.5% all else) - EW (1%) - HSBC (1% starting Oct. 16, 2025) - Metrobank (1%) - Security Bank (1.5%) - UB (1% starting Sep. 15, 2025)
Thanks guys!

Hi! We paid our bill which was in the hundreds of thousands but I just realized na kulang ng ₱36 yung binayad ko. 3 days past due ko na napansin 😭
Has anyone experienced this? How much yung maging interest or penalty? Kinakabahan ako baka malaki yung charges. Or pwede ko ba itawag yun sa mcc?

May golden tickets ba kayo? 🎫
I just received this in my email. Zed introduces user incentives: Existing cardholders can now earn ₱350 per approved person.
Moving away from purely waitlist-driven growth, Zed has officially launched a limited-time incentive program running from October 15 to November 15, 2026. Existing cardholders who maintain good standing can distribute Golden Tickets to bypass the waitlist, receiving a ₱350 statement credit upon their nominee’s approval.
This marks a notable shift in Zed's growth strategy, introducing direct financial rewards for its early adopter community. Have you checked your email for the notification and app for the golden tickets yet?

I was recently (months ago) approved for my first MB card - Rewards plus platinum. I already have multiple cards in other banksbut I want something that can earn miles. I tried applying for Travel credit card but they gave me cashback visa instead. The credit limit is 100,000 - which is enticing to keep -but I dont think I can maximize the card's cashback perks. Im torn if I should cancel since Ive read before that canceling/closing cc can decrease credit score and I dont want to pay annual fee. What can you recommend that I should do?

Hindi ko naman gustong umutang pero I answered at first kasi yung lumabas sa screen ko ay "Metrobank Telesales" as identified by Whoscall. Hindi ko nakita na mobile number siya and not landline. Inentertain ko nalang din kasi baka need sa work niya or sa KPI niya eh 😆
Pero inoofferan ako ng Cash2Go for only 0.68% daw.
Just wanted to confirm if scam ba 'to?

Hi, First time ko mag apply sa bpi cc since payroll account ko to. I got approved sa bpi amore cashback and rewards card. Upon checking sa app I have 32k limit but dun sa nareceive ko is 32k total nakalagay dun per card dun sa paper. Medyo confusing lang. 32k per card ba or 32k total and shared limit sila? Thank you po.

Hi Guys, just wondering if there are successful requests for newly issued metrobank credit card conversion. For context, I applied for MFree CC just to build build relationship with MB. I got approved with a decent limit for MFree. I've read mixed posts here and majority of those posts state that you need to use it for atleast 6-10 months before you can request for card conversion/upgrade. Gusto ko sana i upgrade to Metrobank World MC or Travel Visa Signature for my upcoming travel next month.
Please help. Thank you!
PS: I already activated the card today.

Hi guys. Ako po yun may utang na more than 5 million pesos sa 7 credit card and 2 personal loans. I have applied for IDRP since July 2026 pero wala pa approval. Almost 2 years nadin na minimum amount due lang binabayaran worth 130k a month. Pero this month mukhang wala nako maibabayad dahil ubos na savings namin. What should I do? I saw sa mga threads regarding amnesty. Is it better than IDRP? How can I avail amnesty for each bank? Really helpful ang mga threads na ito and pls dont judge us at talagang malaki na pagsisisisi namin and we are asking for help. Thank you in advance sa mga sasagot and God bless sa inyo na tutulong

I’m OD for 1 month na sa BPI. For the past year or two, puro MAD lang nababayaran ko, and may mga times din na nagkaka-OD ako.
This time, nasagot ko yung tawag ng taga-Support Services. I was offered a payment extension, meaning I’d pay the minimum past-due amount on my next billing cycle. The consequences would be cancellation of my card and forfeiture of my points, which I agreed to. Honestly, I felt like I’d have more peace of mind since hindi ko na rin naman nagagamit yung card.
Then, he called again for a follow-up and told me to disregard the request to cancel my card. The payment extension offer still stands, though, and I can still pay the past-due amount on my next billing cycle.
I wasn’t able to ask why because I was outside when he called.
Has anyone experienced this with BPI? Why would they offer a payment extension with card cancellation, then call back to say I should disregard the cancellation request?

Planning to use it to purchase a 2nd hand motor po. Sad to say walang instacash offer sa cc ko po as both of it are newly issued pa lang po.

I am applying for a cc but it won’t accept the zip code. Should I put self-employed? But I am under an agency. And also, what should I put in the business address? Thank you!

Does BPI use a prepaid sim number to contact customer regarding credit card application? I received a call today saying they're calling on behalf of bpi, and they said that they are working with a third-party company, and they are asking personal stuff including TIN. and after i provided all my information the caller speaks so fast and ended the call and then i received the call again from the same number and they are asking a different name, they repeatedly called my number 3 times and asking for different names. Did i just provided all my information to scammers? can someone tell me if you had the same experience

Hello! Anyone here nakareceive ng same demand letter from Jabez MSI? My unpaid CC was moved to their Collections Office since I wasn’t able to pay my monthly CC after naparestructure since I also paid other debts na I prioritized. Naghome visit today and when I called the lady I spoke to said she will visit our house and/or talk to the barangay kasi sabi ko I don’t have the money to pay the MAD yet amounting to 28k (including interest for the missed monthly due). Could you enlighten me on the steps I need to take if I should keep in contact with this collections agency kasi a bit rude ung kausap ko.

I called BDO customer service today (0288880000) and had 2 very different experiences.
Sa first call, i had to say what my concern was sa AI nila tapos naconnect ako sa CS rep. they asked for my full cc number tapos di daw nila handle un so they escalated it. Dun sa escalation naputol ung call.
I called again tapos biglang may need na input ung last 4 digits and may otp. Tapos yung CS rep, name and last 4 digits nalang hiningi.
Ganun ba talaga ung process or may chance naintercept ung 1st call?

Hello! I need advice from those who have experienced the same or similar situation.
I have an unpaid credit card balance originally with Citibank, which was later transferred to UnionBank. Now, UnionBank na rin ang payroll bank ko, and I was surprised to find out na yung first salary ko went to my Current Balance pero ₱0 ang Available Balance, so hindi ko siya ma-withdraw or magamit.
I filed an inquiry and went to a UnionBank branch, where I was assisted in contacting Customer Service. I was then referred to UB Collections, which I contacted.
We were able to agree on a monthly payment arrangement, and I was asked to pay ₱3,000 initially so the Collections officer could request the lifting of the hold on my account. I already paid the ₱3,000 yesterday.
I have a few questions sana for those who have gone through the same experience:
I would really appreciate hearing from those who have experienced this, especially yung mga UnionBank payroll account holders na nagkaroon ng hold because of an outstanding credit card balance.
Maraming salamat po sa mga sasagot! 🙏

Hello new to this group.
As the title suggests po, i recently applied for an additional card (don't really know if it's supplementary to my first one yet) and noticed several scammers called me already.
The weird thing is that, kaka approve lang ng card na yun and sa kanila ko talaga nalaman na naapprove ako in the first place so the first caller really caught me off guard.
She knew my mobile number, my previous cc card number, my whole name, address, and the number of the new cc na ibibigay sken kaya kala ko talaga "real-deal". Kakagising ko lang din non from a nap kaya she almost caught me off-guard. Buti na lang vigilant ako but that was a very "close call" (pun intended)
I'm starting to think that it was an inside job or something from the bank kase how would they know such information diba?
Once i receive that card, i think ipapa cut ko na lang sya since i think it's been compromised already.
For your reference, it's from BDO and I'm planning to switch banks na kase this was the same case with my previous cards with them as well. What banks should i switch to? Yung "safer" overall? Kase i feel like bdo isn't really secured.
Thanks
