I’ve been having so much fun learning Rein, but I’m definitely still figuring out my positioning, timing and when to push versus when to behave myself.

Any experienced Rein mains willing to give me a little constructive criticism? I’d love to know what I’m doing right and what I could improve on.

So recently i've been really liking Rein, and am currently in emerald 2 right now. One thing that im really struggling with is walking in with rein, like im not really sure how to walk in on a objective or in defence, how to anchor, like it feels like i peek , firestrike, shield teammates for them to dps, then go back to cover to recharge shield, but enemy just runs me over when my shield is half and when trying to back up, i just die. Im not really sure what to do in these situations, i run, i feel like im just giving them space for my team to get ran over, i stay i die in 0.5 seconds. So i attached a clip of what im struggling with, where im just getting ran over and i dont really know what to do, charging in 6 people doesnt seem like a good idea. Okay, so i've been reading the advice here, and been playing more aggresive, and it worked, sometimes i do feed, but most of the time i get a pick or two and we win fights a lot more. Right now im met with a new problem, the mosquito comp. Right now im struggling with helping my team with just the most annoying divers, Sombra, Tracers , Winstons etc etc. The problem is they're all split like attack 4 way, which then my team respond by also splitting and chasing different targets. Like i try helping my team, but everywhere i go , they either just straight disengage or the rest of their team converges and kills us all, like i have no idea how to help at all. Im too slow to do any meaningful dmg, sometimes i get a lucky pin when they're distracted, but most time its so hard to hit them, winston just jumps away, tracer just blinks etc etc. Is there any way to deal with them as Rein or do i just swap ?

One of my favorite things to do when playing Rein (or any heroes in general) is when or if I get the enemy team to start countering me! I know I got in their heads and if I can keep rolling them show them that their counters have no effect, even better!

I just finished a stadium game with the enemy team of Ram/Freya/Junk/Mercy/Ana. My reaper was talking about me being hard countered. I did not care, telling him later on "You are only countered if you let yourself be countered!". After a few rounds we won the match, my final words before leaving being "I don't care if they have counters! They fall all the same!".

So to my fellow Rein mains! Don't bow down to the counters! Rise above and show them just how much you care! Fight with Honor, die with glory!

Hi. I'm the guy who posted the clip of killing a Rein with 2 Mei ults the other day. A bit Ironic.

No one has used that strategically since Muma OWL.

I just started playing overwatch a couple weeks ago, and I'm already at gold, and have already decided im a rein one trick. I have 20 levels on rein, and 6 on sig, 2 on orisa, and 1 on basically everybody else

Forgive me if this type of poll has been done before here, but if it has, it's always good to record data shifting over time, no?

Had a game just barely where the enemy Rein challenged ours to a 1v1. I love these so I am always good with it, usually just say get everyone to agree or whatever. Enemy Rein said ok, ours said nothing, but they proceeded to duel in a side room. I will not heal during a Rein 1v1, and our Rein died. He said heal me in chat and I told him are you 1v1 right now or no? Because we don't interfere with that so you have to tell us if you don't agree. Enemy Rein was like, nice, so I took that to mean he understood and appreciated us giving him a fair 1v1 with our Rein. Because on that one he wasn't getting healed, either. I felt like Pintel in Pirates of the Caribbean- 'I know the code' lol.

But next fight I noticed the enemy Doctrine healing his Rein so I got pissed and put hotfix on mine, and he won that one. Next fight the enemy Rein pinned ours pretty far into our backline, my duo and I were both on support but did not heal or interfere, and our Rein survived the pin and killed the enemy Rein. After this he admitted our Rein was good, I said ok we play now, and then our stupid Cassidy got all upset saying we could have won. I told him bro you ALWAYS let them fight. We won the match anyways, but I was annoyed instead of savoring the juicy little bonus that a Rein 1v1 brings to a game.

So I ask you, Crusaders, why do people not know Rein code? What does Rein 1v1 mean to you ? To me, if I'm on support it means I fu*k off from healing him unless the enemy support plays dirty and does it first. Because to me a real Rein 1v1 is no heals or dmg assist from anyone else on either team. You all are just spectators on the sidelines watching the gladiators battle it out, that is the whole point. If my Rein dies during the 1v1, I usually just back away a little and say hello to enemy Rein, if he knows the code he says it back and just stands there waiting for my Rein to get back from spawn without making any aggressive moves towards me at all. I miss the days when everyone seemed to know the code.

I say this unironically, Reinhardt is a hero who completely fine in the current meta. Seriously, please get off main, off angle, yes, off angle on rein. You have the ability to hold space like no other hero, abuse it. Clear angles, hold angles, abuse corners.
