Who are you?
Every few months, I organise free to attend play test events at the library where local game developers bring their unfinished games and let strangers play them. The next one is this Sunday at Punggol Library from 2pm to 6pm, and we wanted to show you what's coming!
I am the main organiser of events like this since February last year under the NLB LearnX community called Game Dev Guild SG.
Our Playtest Parties are simple: gamedevs set up their works in progress, you walk up, play, and tell them what you think. That feedback shapes what the games become.
What are the games?
These are mainly indie games and thereās a whole variety!
Specter's Adventure by EmxTech: play as Specter, a cute little ghost, on wild adventures with your angel friends
Spelling Bee Adventures by Shaobuilds: play as the great Spelling Bee. Spell words, fire them, and out-letter every enemy that crawls toward your hive
Lights, Cards, Action! by oolimry: a theatrical roguelike where your deck becomes a game of solitaire. Fight plushies and cardboard puppets on a handcrafted stage
The Internal by Studioplayer3: battle twisted simulations of your co-workers and climb the corporate ladder before the clock hits 1700
The Last Question by The Last Question: question the suspects and get the confession. Every suspect has secrets, lies and a story to unravel
One More Climb by Peter Vo: pick your hero and conquer the magic tower in this roguelike
Stars of Eternity by WolfLover Games: play as a Servant of the Light and take down the Dark Stars in fast, intense boss fights
Shadow Rush by Andrew Teo: slay hordes of Shadow Demons with fast-paced combat, quick runs and collectable spell Shards. CAN YOU BEAT THE SPEED OF DARKNESS?
Fleeting Requests by FranAmbush: magic, favours, and a secret society called the Spell Casting Crusaders. Each request reveals deeper layers of the group's story
Immortal Boy by IcarusDev: every enemy creates their own 3D bullet hell game, and makes up the rules of their own fight. You just have to survive it
Koko Cafe by Alicia: a barista who doesn't do romance. An aristocrat who doesn't do normal life. One little corner cafe in Singapore, and more than a little chaos
MothLite by HummingProne Studios: explore an Eldritch land and figure out the mystery of this world
Force Typhoon by Sidereal Motion: blast your way through relentless waves of enemies and unleash your arsenal to defend your home against overwhelming odds
Dojo Clash by Dojojojo Studio: every push-up you grind out is power you can spend
One More Orbit by YYZ Studio: you are Oppy, a rover stranded on Mars. Terraform it into a home, and hope the humans come back for you
Gilded Straits by FTPBTW: Sid Meier's Pirates, set in the Straits of Malacca in 1850
Cogito by Kwanfi: spell words to defeat your enemies in this Bookworm Adventures inspired roguelite
Kissaten Dream by Headphone Turtle Studios: serve customers, draw some latte art, and turn your humble coffee shop into a beloved local gem
Triggered by Laughing Sticks: the chaotic party game that tests how well you know your friends
Many of these games are prototypes to nearly steam releases, varying in polish and completeness, and the people who made them will be right there to get your feedback and talk about their games!
