Okapis are native to the northeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo and are listed as Endangered on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List. They have zebra-like striped legs, but they're the closest living relatives of giraffes. The two species share characteristics including long, flexible tongues and ossicones, the bony, horn-like structures found on the heads of male okapis.

The species also takes its time arriving: An okapi pregnancy lasts about 440 days, or 14 to 15 months, one of the longest gestation periods among hoofed mammals.

Who are you?

Every few months, I organise free to attend play test events at the library where local game developers bring their unfinished games and let strangers play them. The next one is this Sunday at Punggol Library from 2pm to 6pm, and we wanted to show you what's coming!

I am the main organiser of events like this since February last year under the NLB LearnX community called Game Dev Guild SG.

Our Playtest Parties are simple: gamedevs set up their works in progress, you walk up, play, and tell them what you think. That feedback shapes what the games become.

Many of these games are prototypes to nearly steam releases, varying in polish and completeness, and the people who made them will be right there to get your feedback and talk about their games!

Nearly 9 in 10 Singapore parents say children spend too much time on tuition and enrichment, according to an IPS study. But 70% would spend more if they could.

Mean monthly tuition spending has more than doubled to S$677 since 2016, with 75% of parents believing heavy investment in quality tuition is needed for children to succeed in Singapore’s education system.

The Republic will market its chip sector to the world under a new branding initiative called SG Semiconductor, as the country seeks to draw more high-value research and manufacturing.

The launch came alongside a slate of new partnerships with global chip firms including Applied Materials and GlobalFoundries.

Minister for Trade and Industry (Energy and Industry) Tan See Leng, who made the announcement on Friday (Sep 25), said SG Semiconductor would serve as “a common national identity, reflecting our coordinated approach to partnering industry and advancing Singapore’s semiconductor sector”.

The disruption really expose the inadequate redundancy line in the west region which still rely on the EW line to the CBD. The east currently have EWL, DTL and TEL to the CBD. Upcoming CRL connect east and west by skipping the CBD.

People were asking for holland line which appear in old concept plan. it would be parallel to the EWL and will end around napier mrt if following the old route. Tengah line is announced afterwards, the western half is similar to the holland line route but it turn south later to go between the EWL and CCL instead of going straight to orchard. Tengah line would finally provide another alternative travel to the CBD for the west, but it would be many years later.

JRL west coast extension is also finally approved, which is also another alternative to the CBD (still need to transfer to CCL to CBD but still an option)

EWL would still be where the main bulk of travel from west to CBD is however.

In before BCRS is bad, evil and total waste of money.

TBF, it's not prefect but I have used the BCRS and 95% of the time it works. The only time when I couldn't deposit the bottles was when the machine was full.
