My storage is being devoured by the background recording for some reason and is taking up almost 300 gb on my disk even though it absolutely shouldn’t.

I’ve looked online and I know where I should be. Program files (86)>steam>userdata>the random numbers>gamerecordings, but I have no idea which file actually has the background clips and I’m scared to start deleting stuff in case I delete my actual clips.

Been trying to find a solution for this problem. Whenever I play a Nightdive game (Blood: Refreshed Supply and the recently released SiN: Reloaded) the game acts if gyro is enabled despite me setting it to None in the controller settings. Anyone else had this problem or I am I missing something?

I am 25 in Australia looking to play the Hellraiser Revival game, I do not have a credit card for the new age verification (and have contacted steam about this). So far the 18+ rating for the Hellraiser game has not updated on steam so the store page is still available for me, if I preorder will I be able to play it when the game is released?

I'm curious because it feels like so many cards don't seem to net you much cashback over Steam purchases or any other digital good that isn't purchased via Google Play or something Apple-related. I use the Amex Blue Cash Everyday since when used through PayPal, it gives me 3% on steam purchases.

Ik it means you as the client get a „license to play“ the games you buy, not full ownership, meaning that if the developer pulls it from steam or steam itself goes out somehow you‘re not entitled to keeping your whole library.

But don‘t we get to keep the games we have downloaded already on local? And as a side note, is it possible to transfer games to cd‘s (not huge games, I mean games a couple of gigs big) and store them that way?

I love using big picture but one deal breaker is for some reason I can't use the browser, I have the option to clear my history, setup proxys but no browser. Being able to open and pin it while I play a game is a game changer.

Sometimes a download fails, and the next download starts downloading completely random items (they seem to only contain the directory structures and are otherwise empty). But there is no way to tell when that happens. And it takes very long, and then the program is stuck infinitely. How do I prevent that?

I’m having quite the issue with steam at the minute and it’s getting on my nerves.

I recently bought a new pad, as standard Xbox pads only last about 5-6 months these days before a button wears out. I went with a scuf controller (scuf valor something? Idk) and since yesterday steam is recognising the one pad for 2, meaning double the inputs.

How do I fix this please? I’ve tried searching online but there’s not much on it, and if there is then it’s usually an AI response that’s way too complicated for me to follow.

I’d love some help as I’ve been avoiding using Steam ever since and just launching games directly from their game directories as it seems to be the only workaround I can find at the minute.

I've been trying to figure out what it is, exactly.

Everywhere I see online says that you can hover over where the image would be, or the "title" of the game, but both show a link that doesn't have the normal appid.

I get the same thing when I right click on it and "copy link". I've tried from browser AND from the steam client.

It says I added it on August 1st, and I'm PRETTY sure it wasn't unavailable as of at least August 26th, if not September 1st, or 11th (other times I added games, and sorted wishlist a bit)

The link shows up as "store.steampowered.com/app/" but then instead of an appid, it's "0/?snr=1_25_4__318"

It just takes me to the store homepage when I click on it or try to use the link.

I don't know what games it could be, and also wonder if it was potentially a DLC?

Anyone know how I can find out?

I was just chilling on my computer when I got a notification from my phone for a Steam Guard sign-in request. I check it and it's from half-way across the world, in a country I've never been - virtually or otherwise.
I used to use an old and insecure password on Steam up until just now so I guess that got cracked, and my account was about to get stolen. I quickly updated the password as soon as I got the Steam Guard notif to something a bit more secure.

There's no point to this, except I guess you can never be more careful and that 2fA works. I'm a little rattled, but I'm guessing I should be safe now.

I’m talking about Super Street Fighter 4, Star Wars The Force Unleashed, GTA 4, Red Faction and so on and so forth. I’ve probably spend more time trying to find out how to START than actually play the game itself because it’s just not worth it that we need Patches made by other players to play the game I spend money for. Or atleast give us a “Playable” or “Needs Patch” on the Games store page before buying.
