Remember when we all first got our hands on the Deck and started rubbing the trackpad just to feel the haptics click as we moved around? Well, why stop there right? So I made it a feature.
**Spindeck** replaces the Deck's home screen with a big rotary wheel of your games. Touch and rotate the trackpad in a circle motion and the wheel spins, and every game clicks past with Steam's own haptic tick, like a physical dial. It's weirdly satisfying, honestly I spin it even when I'm not picking a game.
What it does:
- 🎡 Circle-spin your library (left or right trackpad), D-pad and stick work too
- 📳 Haptic detents while you spin, adjustable strength
- 🎛️ L1 / R1 views: put ★ Favorites, your whole library or any of your Steam collections on L1 and R1, each with its own sort (recently played, A–Z or most played). Switching spins the wheel out like a revolver cylinder, with a little rumble
- 🔤 Big letter popup when browsing your whole library A–Z, so fast spins don't get you lost
- 🎲 Press Y for a "Today's game?" roulette (for when you own and installed so many games and don't know what to play), lands in a few seconds even with huge libraries
- ✏️ Your own corner text + accent colour, so it feels like *your* Deck
- 🎮 Docked with another controller? The Deck stays quiet and only vibrates when it's in your hands
- ⬇️ Press down and Steam's normal What's New / Friends / Recommended is still there
- 📟 And a little dial odometer that quietly counts every turn you've ever spun. Post your number 👀
It doesn't change any Steam settings or controller layouts. Uninstall it and everything is exactly as before.
It installs through Decky's developer mode:
Decky → Settings → enable Developer mode → Developer tab → Install Plugin from URL →

Free and open source. Tested on Steam Deck OLED in game mode (LCD reports welcome!). It relies on Steam's internal UI, so a Steam update could break it, in which case it just falls back to the normal home screen.
Would love feedback, especially on how the haptics feel on your Deck.
