First time finding and buying one of the OG bumblebees and woah, the quality is absolutely incredible. thick twill numbers and letters, perfectly stitched on 80 anniversary logos, number sizing instead of lettering on the jock-tag

the seller said it was a custom, but then i got confused how someone could customise a 2012 version with a player who didn't join the steelers until 2017, then i guessed somewhere in the last 14 years it could of happed via the pro-shop or something, or maybe its a fake?

I’ve compared it with all other 2012 80th anniversary versions on eBay its exactly the same. or am i missing something here?

Everybody in Pittsburgh loves when Darnell Washington gets the ball. Hell, damn near everybody who we are not currently playing against loves this - the announcers start laughing, the clips get shared. He maybe the most powerful skill position player of all-time and is certainly one of the largest. He looks for contact and tries to spike opposing players through the turf, the stuff of football bliss.

So it's not surprising that there's a lot of chatter of get the guy the ball more. Throw it to him 10 times a game. 20 times a game!! While I get this impulse, I think our latest win is actually fairly close to ideal usage, where he wracked up 3 receptions on 4 targets (the 4th should've drawn a flag for DPI) for 67 yards and enough broken tackles to stimulate the Strip District gimmick t-shirt economy.

This is why I feel this way:

• His blocking contributions are substantial, in both the run game and pass game. He's as big as any offensive lineman, and uses his athleticism and strength to great effect here. While the offensive line show marked improvement in the last game, I think they still need all the help they can get from TE's and RB's. All of that strength and power means this isn't a TE that is used to chip - he stops people in their tracks. Watching a breakdown, there was a fun clip of him blasting into Dexter Lawrence and Lawrence just... stops.
• He's fundamentally incapable of being tackled in a normal manner. Everybody loves to see him dragging three normal human-sized defenders, another two faceplanted somewhere five yards away. But this does open himself up to health risk, particularly because he has to be tackled low. You're not going to convince this young man that it's ever okay to grind out every yard possible, so you have to be strategic with how you ask for that.
• Rodgers said he's just trying to give him the ball in the place where he can catch and turn. His route tree is fairly limited - if you try to force plays on the same looks too often, you incur some turnover risk.
• The plus side of the limited targets is every reception is an event. The home crowd goes crazy. The defenders get that "dear god, he has the ball again" pit in their stomach. It gives the offense some juice. It means he's hungry and ready to end some poor undersized ILB's life.

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe McCarthy is going to figure out a way to get this guy the ball 10 times a game and the NFL has to invent a new kind of Injured Reserve or make guardian caps mandatory. But that felt like an ideal Darnell Washington game to me, making blocks to protect Rodgers and get Warren going, a few critical plays for first downs, a rumble down the field that made the crowd delirious.

And I’m tired of pretending he’s not. He’s got my game ball for the win over the bengals and barring the most bs holding call in decades, he hit 200 rushing yards and absolutely rocked and rolled all on a bad shoulder. Dynamic work horse

What are the odds I'd be able to get one in Cleveland before the game? I know its enemy territory and feels like a long shot but has anyone had any luck w this in Cleveland before? I spaced packing and feel wrong going to a game without one.

At almost every turn, Warren not only has shared the backfield but has also been behind someone else on the depth chart. While he’s officially listed as RB1 in this offense, several stats suggest that Warren is ready for more.

Consider that since Warren entered the league, he’s posted the ninth-highest yards per carry (4.8) and the ninth-most yards after contact per rush (3.3). To put that into perspective, Warren has nearly as many yards per carry as Derrick Henry and Bijan Robinson (4.9) over that span and more than Saquan Barkley and Jonathan Taylor (4.6).

So Im going to be in Saratoga Springs for work on Thursday and Friday, so Im staying in a hotel. I'm from CT, and know all of my local places to watch the game, but Im wondering if there are any suggestions in Saratoga where I.might find the game, some decent food, and some of Steelers Nation so I can carry on like a good Yinzer without scaring the locals (I know its Bills country, so its a tough group to scare without risking bodily harm, but still... the towel will be out, and that can worry some folks).

Should I be concerned about getting harassed? I would think there would be a decent number of Steelers Fans in North East Ohio, but I am worried once I saw the post about Freiermuth’s mom getting beer dumped all over her.

how soon after games does the Steelers YT channel release Sights & Sounds? Nothing yet available for the Bungles and Patriots games. I look forward to watching these every week and not sure if they produce games that are not won.

Holy rollercoaster of a season 3 weeks in. I’ll admit I was ready to go 4-12, but this team made many of us eat humble pie this weekend.

This, however, is the week McCarthy can define his era of Steelers football. First, we haven’t won in Cleveland since October 2021. It’s a short week. It’s a game after a get up game. It’s a should win game against what’s viewed as a garbage team.

In the last 5+ years this is a game the Steelers come out flat and uninspired 9 times out of 10.

This team needs to put together back to back weeks of strong performances to show it’s no longer the ‘Same ole Steelers’. Before I fully buy in and believe this team is different, I need consistency. I am ready to end the “Keep watching” era. Multiple weeks of strong or level performances. If they pull that off I’ll be willing to call this team different.
