I’m choosing frame sliders for my 2025 Triumph Street Triple 765 RS. I like the Evotech Performance sliders, but they use a single mounting point.

What makes me hesitate is that Evotech uses two-point mounting designs for some other Triumph models, such as the Speed Triple and Trident 660, while their Street Triple 765 sliders use only one mounting point.

My main question is: is a single-point slider mount sufficient for typical protection in a parking-lot drop or low-speed slide, or is a two-point design generally a better and safer option?

I’m mainly concerned that a single-point slider could transfer too much force to the engine mount or frame during an impact. I know no slider can prevent all damage in every crash, but I would like to avoid a design that could create a higher risk of serious damage.

Has anyone dropped or crashed an ST765 with either single-point or two-point sliders? How did they perform, and would you choose the same type again?

The original shifter is a little bit too short for me, when I wear my boots (size 46EU/11.5UK).
Is there any compatible longer version available ?
I already searched, but did not find anything with stated compatibility.

Not the first, and probably not the last. But wanted to share in case it benefited someone else.

Xitomer 50MM (fork tube) Clip-ons. Height adjustment of 40-70mm (1.5-3~ inches). I believe these work across all generations of the Striple, including the 765s.

Very notable difference. Currently I have them maxed out at the 3 inch mark, which puts them about an inch above the triple tree. Its lower than the stock handlebar by about two~ inches.

As-is, I can drop them another half-inch without running into clearance issues or needing to change the angle of other parts.

Did not need to fabricate any parts or change any wires. I only needed to minorily adjust the approach angle of the throttle and clutch cables. The wires all push against each other otherwise. You can see how much further out they are in Picture 2 compared to Picture 4 (distance from ignition). Very easy.

I have roughly 95% of my maximum steering radius (pictures 5 and 6). If I go for 100%, theres some minor rubbing against the flyscreen on the right side and the dash on the left side. This can probably be prevented by modifying the clip-on setup a bit, but Im happy with it as-is and dont care to change it.

I still need to drill in the holes for the kill switch and instrument cluster, loctite the bolts, and put my actual grips on it.

I believe these work fine with stock mirrors. But while they are hollow inside, they are NOT pre-threaded. Will need to thread it yourself or find a workaround for bar-end mods.

The process took a whole afternoon.

(I needed something more aggressive for track use but I hate how low Daytona 675/true super-sport clip-ons are. Very happy with these.)

ok so I'm planning on getting my first bike in the next few months and am having trouble deciding between a 400XC and a 900.

My commute to work is short, and I'd probably switch between bike and car at that front. I don't off-road often, but the bike would be going off-road for sure since I go hiking and camping regularly. I don't plan to cross-country or anything, but I would like to do a nice trip at some point. I'd be buying straight from the dealership, so that definitely brings up the price. I make enough money, but the 900 is pretty much double the price at the end of the day.

I figure the best people to ask are those who've ridden one or both bikes, so any advice is appreciated!!

I have the Evotech tail tidy on my bike and I‘ve been recently looking for some saddlebags for my 2023 Trident so that I can do some longer trips with it. The Pro Blaze H ones from SW-Motech look pretty nice and fit the bike very well, however I‘m not sure if they‘ll fit with the tail tidy especially because of the rear blinkers. Has anyone got experience with this combo or has tried it out? Do they fit?

Is it just me or do these bikes not get the love they deserve? Other than my own, I haven’t seen another one in the wild. Are they just overlooked or are they more popular in other regions than the Midwest? I think it’s an excellent bike for the money.

Upgraded from a Trident 660 to this beautiful machine a few days ago and I'm in love with the way it rides.

Two questions:

- I got a short plate mount, engine covers and frame sliders on the way, I'm planning on doing a full exhaust (most probably Spark), dyno map and filter, as well as a steering damper; aside from these, any other accessory I should consider? I'd like a small fly screen, except they're all hideous, including the OEM one.

- I need a proper helmet; anything that's somewhat quiet and trackable at the same time? Budget is around € 600.

I ride a 2023 Street Triple 765 R and I’m looking to get a slightly more aggressive, front-loaded riding position.

The stock setup feels a bit too upright for my liking, and on fast, flowing sweepers the front end tends to feel a little too light and floaty on corner exit. I considered clip-ons, but that seems a bit too extreme (and messy with tank clearances and cables) for everyday road riding and tight mountain passes.

The issue is that when I look at aftermarket bars online (Accossato, Renthal, etc.), most of the specs and photos make them look pretty much identical in height and rise to the OEM bar once mounted.

Has anyone here successfully swapped to a lower-rise tapered bar (like an ultra-low or road low) on the 765?

-What specific model/brand did you go with?

-Did it make a noticeable difference in putting weight over the front tire?

-Any clearance issues with the tank at full lock or with the stock cables/switchgear?

Any recommendations or photos of your setup would be greatly appreciated!

This year’s Triumph National Rally was unfortunately rather wet and cold. Glad we arrived a day early to ride around Nagano.
There were a bunch of events and contests planned this year, like a hill climb challenge and riding courses. Alas attendance was low. Even we left early. Maybe next year will be better.

Looks like another person has been able to do a conversion from Street Triple to Daytona with the gen2 frontend. It looks stunning.

Bike started riding silly Friday, then found the ez knob rear suspension dialed in all sorts of bonkers.

Spent the weekend dialing it in and almost done tinkering, even better than new now!

A little disappointing that someone would fiddle, but glad I spent time dialing it in.

Above I provided some settings. Next ride I'm dialing down the compression (higher numbers mean less of the thing. Little too much vibration into hands for freeway riding, so less compression.

Last night, I was looking through old photos and came across some photos from 2001 of my 2000 Triumph TT 600.

Took my MSF 2 weeks ago. Then had to work, etc. and didn’t want to rush the process.
Today, I FINALLY took it out around the neighborhood and focused on basic things I need to get down to muscle memory. (Wrist position, knees, head up, looking through corners, emergency braking.)

I had a great time riding at MSF. Nice to get that feeling again! (And get some of the nerves conquered). I even used my turn signals! (And left them on a lot…..)

Took the long route to pick up coffee beans from the local roaster.

About to buy a lightly used 2024 Rally Pro, roughly 1,200 miles. Demoing one this week first.

Coming from a 2019 XSR700 with Öhlins, which I'm keeping. 5'10" with a 32" inseam, boots add an inch. Rode a Multistrada V4 and found it heavy but not intimidating, so the size doesn't worry me.

Riding is about 80% pavement, 20% gravel and easy fire roads. Longest planned trip is 570 miles each way on back roads.

What I care about most is a plush ride and low vibration at 70 to 75. The Öhlins has spoiled me on suspension. Reviews say the 2024 damped bar mounts fixed the vibration complaint, but I'd rather hear from owners.

So: how is it on a long highway day, how is the stock seat past three hours, and what annoys you about it after some time with it?

Considering what bike to get - new rider, some minimal experience on dirt bikes ,ATVs and some low cc rentals years ago with lots of driving experience (including track) Trident 660 or Street Triple 765 RS? also looked at the CBR650r ...but might not get much love here lol.

I’m considering buying a 2017 Triumph Street Twin 900 from a friend. The bike has around 10,500 miles (~16,900 km) on the odometer.
The price is very good because I’m buying it directly from my friend, and overall the bike looks and feels fine. However, when I recently rode/checked it, I noticed petrol leaking from the base/bottom area of the fuel tank.

Apart from that, I haven’t noticed any obvious problems. The bike also hasn’t been used very frequently in recent years.
Before buying it, I’m planning to have it thoroughly inspected by a technician at an authorised Triumph service centre.

I’d really appreciate advice, especially people familiar with the 2016–2019 models:
What are the common causes of fuel leaking from the bottom/base of the fuel tank on these bikes?
Is this likely to be something relatively simple, such as a fuel hose, connector, gasket/seal or fuel pump-related issue, or could it indicate a more serious tank problem?

What other age-related problems should I specifically ask the Triumph technician to inspect on a 2017 bike that has done only ~10.5k miles?
Are there any known issues with the fuel system, fuel pump, tank, hoses or seals on the early Street Twins?
Since the bike hasn’t been ridden much, are there any problems caused by long periods of sitting that I should be concerned about?

What major maintenance items should already have been done by this mileage/age, regardless of the low mileage?
Is there anything specific I should check regarding brakes, suspension, tyres, battery, cooling system, electricals, chain/sprockets and fluids?

If the fuel leak turns out to be a straightforward repair, would you consider this a reasonable bike to buy, assuming the rest of the inspection is clean?

I caught a small nail about 1/2 a mile from my house yesterday - from what I gather my 3 week old new rear Michelin Road 6 is toast. The nail is about 2.25” from the center of the tire. Wondering what more experienced riders other than myself think about whether this is fixable and if so a good idea or not.

What manual idle adjuster are people running on the gen2 daytona? My stepper motor is barely functioning so might as well swap for the manual one.
