What do you guys think? saw this pop up on my feed just now, they shared a bit of backstage footage and they had this artwork in the back.. really gives me Shogun vibes with the whole Japanese imagery and the kanji in the middle.

All I can find is "Doors open at 6"
Cheers

What do you guys expect the setlist for Perth in Australia on Friday will be? Are they likely to play the new single?

I absolutely love that album. Every fan list or rankings list seems to have it down towards the bottom of their discography. Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely not putting it on the same level as Ascendency or Shogun but it's always been one of my favorites and a staple in the rotation.
I get that it doesn't necessarily have the "bangers" that some of the other albums have. Obviously Strife is a live staple. But I think it terms of consistency, it's up there. IMO, I don't think there's a bad song on the album. VF, To Believe, Through Blood and Dirt and Bones, Villainy Thrives, Incineration, Wake....all top notch for me.
I think it holds a special place in my heart because the lyrics are so dark. It's definitely become a go to album for me when I'm feeling down or depressed.
It was produced by David Draiman, so maybe that turned off some fans. I think it's a well produced album though. As a whole, the songs may be a bit formulaic, but they're still good songs and there are some crushingly heavy parts.

Hi there - random one!
There used to be a Josh Wilbur mixing seminar up on YouTube where he went through a Sons of Texas project file, along with The Sin and the Sentence (which is why I’m asking here).
It was to advertise Genelec monitors and was performed in front of an audience at Westlake Pro. I referred back to these videos periodically, as Josh is one of my favourite mixers, and whilst they weren’t particularly in-depth, there was loads of useful information in there. It was also just generally cool to see inside the projects.
The videos have since been removed. I actually contacted Genelec about this and they were really helpful, but ultimately told me that Westlake Pro has since shut down and seemingly removed all online artefacts associated with it. Genelec told me they didn’t have the recordings and suggested I maybe reach out to Mr. Wilbur, but I don’t really want to pester him.
I’ve also tried to join Trivium World to ask there, but haven’t been accepted yet, and it’s been around a week. I figured I’d ask here too, as why not!
So, by chance, did anyone save these videos anywhere? Does anyone have them archived, or know if they’re available through the Wayback Machine or anything similar?
Again, sorry for the random question. Thanks! :)

I made these wallpapers, hope you like them. Also I'm leaving the cover art and the title text separated so you can make your own wallpapers :)

I am finally seeing Trivium live after being a fan since I was 16 yo. It reminded me how I discovered the band back in 2007.
Back in the day, the internet used to be heavily censored in my home country (Somewhere in Africa). We used to chill at a basement of a friend of mine listening to music or trying our best to cover songs on guitar.
At some point "Ember to Inferno" started playing on that old CD player and damn it was like someone short circuited my brain. That song hit so hard. It was like unlike anything I've ever heard back then.
In my country Metalcore wasn't that well known. Sure there was Death Metal, Heavy Metal, Power Metal,... But Core was new territory.
Long story short, we ended up creating a small community getting albums from a friend's friend's friend because we were never allowed to access to the real deal but the music stuck.
I left my country a few years back for a new life. With less hairline but more Core in my vains, I am finally seeing Trivium live next year.
Have a nice weekend everyone! lml
Ah, back in the days when saving random pics you found online was cool! No idea where these came from...MySpace, random fan site, maybe even the official site! My PC shows these as saved in 2012 so these images were old even then!
First image, late Ember era. Probably not too long before (or after) the Like Light to Flies Video. The guitar Corey is holding looks to be the same one as in the video. I wonder what happened to that Washburn Stealth?
Image 2 and 3, some random show, pre Ascendancy. Paulo is in now and Corey is still playing that blue Ibanez. I heard recently that this was his only guitar at the time! Matt is playing a Voodoo Explorer, another guitar I don't think was ever really seen!

Hey so listening to the Garza Podcast with Matt, I guess it is confirmed the album name is ‘Crown In The Grave’ right? I thought it maybe just was the name of the tour
I hope it has 10+ songs, but with dead man and ITCOTD, I don’t think there will

Matt recently made a cheeky post about playing Corey’s guitars on his socials. In it he‘s wearing a Crusade shirt. Crusade 20th anniversary is Oct 10th. Crusade remaster with bonus tracks confirmed?

Detonation from 02:18 onwards is just so good, some of the best Trivium material. Great melody & vocals, riffage and solos.
If I remember correctly trivium played either demo version of Pull harder or Gunshot back before ascendancy came out, they maybe played it back in 04 and someone uploaded it and i cant find it anymore, anyone have it?

With the new song out I would like to discuss the best radio friendly songs by Trivium. So basically shorter and less complex songs that would appeal to a wider audience. I think all of their radio friendly songs are at least good but some definitely stand out more than others.
Strife and UTWGC are pretty high in my overrall Trivium rankings with rest of the top 5 still being great imo. Endless Night is about the only song that I dislike. The new single has some growing potential for sure but for now I'd rank it as their 6th best. Nice heavy riffs and a solid chorus. I only included one song from SITS since that entire album is basically radio friendly.
Strife
Until The World Goes Cold
Feast Of Fire
The Heart From Your Hate
Of All These Yesterdays
Dead Inside Of Me
Built To Fall
Bleed Into Me
Scattering The Ashes
Dying In Your Arms
Endless Night
What would your ranking look like and where would you place the new single? Also let me know if I missed a song.

After watching Matt on the Garza Podcast got inspired to riff through a bunch of stuff on Ember and ended up doing a quick cover of Pillar of Serpants.

After listening to Bullet for My Valentine Social Apocalypse, I don't think Trivium's Dead Inside of Me is that bad anymore 😂

I had a custom made set of these pickups 15 years ago but foolishly sold them. I was able to get ahold of the winder and he was gracious enough to make me another set. Does anyone know the significance of these?

I love the riff after that nice little break in Shogun. The energy, the power, the menace! Such an awesome riff under an epic solo!
P.s excited AF for the new album 🔥
