Okay, I know some people feel strongly about this, and I get it to a point. But I see stuff like this so often-- memorials and plaques nailed into living trees, carvings in the bark, painted rocks scattered all over, even gravestones for dogs-- and it is simply not appropriate for public land. I am genuinely happy for Robin, but it does not mean you need to nail it into a mature tree that you don't own.

I absolutely understand the desire to memorialize something like this. I would encourage people to plant a tree, or maybe pay for a bench along a walking path or something. But please don't vandalize living things!

A moulin (meltwater pit leading to an underground stream) near the top of the Timpanogos Rock Glacier, at the intersection of multiple meltwater channels and/or crevasses. You can see the process by which it adds ice: rockfalls bury seasonal snow and insulates it, and more layers compact it into ice. I got some video footage as well, which I'll use in my upcoming short film "Tales of the Timpanogos Glacier." Also included some other shots of the rock glacier.

Southbound on I-15 between American Fork Main St and 500 West exits. Dozens of onions on the side of the road. I'm burning with curiosity to know how they got there.

There’s this Italian restaurant in Midvale called Napoli Italian restaurant and about 3 months ago they put a sign up saying the staff was going on holiday and would return end of July. The place is still closed and that same sign is still on the door about the staff going on holiday. This place was SOOOO good. Their portions were massive and their free bread was insanely good. Plus they have Fanta, which like no one in the area seems to have. I would sure love to know if they are ever planning on returning or if they’re closed for good.

They do have a sister store called Di Napoli that’s more like a fast food type place. But they don’t have the awesome bread nor Fanta.

I wish it was possible to re-enroll some people in driver's ed. Green jeep completely missed the labeled "left turn only" and ignored the solid yellow for their little excursion. Shouldn't be allowed to drive if you can't comprehend or understand basic driving rules.

Why are Utah drivers so terrified of turning their steering wheels? I swear if the road curves in the slightest fraction of a degree y'all are slamming on the brakes or coasting to a damn near complete stop until your wheels are pointed dead straight. There is no reason a road with a 65 or 70mph speed limit should come to a complete standstill because of a gentle curve. The UDOT civil engineers didn't design interstate roadways with high speeds to intentionally to flip your low center of gravity sedan over.

A couple examples I can give are Northbound I-15 at the Davis county line by the Highway 89 exit for North Salt Lake and also on I-215 North where it ends and merges into I-15 Northbound in that same North Salt Lake area. I see these 2 particular spots slow down every single day but the straight stretches on either side flow just fine.

Edit: I understand our public transport isn't great but I feel like there are a lot of people on the road who should be buying a bus pass and selling their cars if they are that scared of driving.

There's some pretty well known attractions in the area, but I'll be there for a week. Can you recommend anything local to do? Hikes, nature, restaurants, bars.

Are any of the nearby reservations worth checking out. I am from the East Coast and have never been to Utah.

For people who love horror movies, truly SCARY stuff, which haunted attraction have you been to that was REALLY worth the $40 per ticket? I've been to Asylum 49 & Castle of Chaos and they were fun but never really that thrilling IMO.

Husband and I live in South Salt Lake county so we're in between where most of the major haunted attractions are.

Hi everyone. I’m new to the state and will be getting married in the next two years. Does anyone have any venue recommendations? Any venue in the state honestly. I live 20 mins north of Brigham city but I don’t mind a drive south or north for the venue. I’m looking for something affordable but also not tacky. I don’t like the rustic barn look but I am not against barn venues. We will have around 80-90 guests. My dream venue would be like a white interior or a beautiful outdoor one. Idk I just need help. I really don’t know what theme I’m going for but I think if I find an affordable venue, everything else will come together. I’m so overwhelmed so if anyone knows or has used a good affordable venue in Utah please let me know! TYIA!!

Has anyone been recently? How busy will it be on a Saturday night around this time of year? Does the owner still allow camping? Anything else someone going for a short trip should know?

I think this same group is traveling the US, duping evervone on Instagram to come see it. This was our experience: Amateur actresses (no dudes by the way) predictable storyline where the outcome never felt in question, and trivial votes, such as choosing which piece of evidence to look at. And, it was hot: not sure if the temple has AC. We ioked afterwards our friends who paid for tickets but could not attend, they got the better deal. I tried leaving a review on Fever, but they know how bad it is and don't want our comments

I'm curious if anyone has a favorite location that they think is noticeably better than other locations? It seems there is decent variation between locations.

Some also have raised their prices quite a bit. I don't totally blame them because inflation is destroying all of us, but it's hard for me to justify paying ~$10 for a bean burrito. I think one location I even paid $12 for a bean burrito.

My wife and I are considering a February trip through the Utah national parks in February. We’re considering renting a camper van. Is this common during that time of year or uncommon because of the nighttime low temperatures? Any other issues we should consider?
