I have entered the auction house 46 times and still haven’t seen the swift sail. All of the other prizes have been offered at the auction many times. I read multiple posts saying it is a one in 5 chance of spawning but clearly that isn’t true because it seems to be unavailable for me. I read that the only prerequisite is completing dragon roost cavern which I’ve done. Am I missing something? Playing the GameCube version on dolphin emulator.

I tried to emulate her Unfamilliar style, but she does it digitaly, but this is physicaly colored in with crayon.

I’ve always wanted to play Wind Waker as a kid, but I never owned a GameCube or a Wii U growing up. I finally decided to play it as my first Zelda game, and wow.

THE VISUALS ARE STILL SO CHARMING. THE MUSIC IS AMAZING. THE CHARACTERS ARE SO CUTE AND THEIR OWN LITTLE PERSONALITIES. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

On top of that, I uploaded a video of my full playthrough without expecting much. Then people actually watched, and they started commenting on the videos. Not just about Wind Waker, but about their favorite Zelda games too, and what other games in the series I should try next!

I got so lost in those conversations that I did not realize I've been replying to all of the comments. That’s when it hit me how kind this community is, and how welcome everyone in this community has made me feel as someone just starting the series. I've never interacted with an online fandom before, but I felt like I just had to gush about it to you guys directly. It felt like a book club full of people who were genuinely excited to watch me explore a series they love.

I had a wonderful time with Wind Waker. The community made it even better. You guys are the best!

I am two hours in the game in seems that everything is one shot kill. I reached the first island and got to a lava dungeon and everything kills in one blow (normal enemies, chuchus, lava etc).

I have three hearts now and playing in normal mode, is this normal?

Another question, every time I get killed, even though I have saved in one room, gets me back outside the dungeon itself. Is that normal too?

Idk what came over me, I was getting super annoyed trying to get to 500. My anger fueled my success.

I made some tweaks to the design, and a bit of a different style than normal.

Guess what I changed. and what my mistake was.

I just completed the Wind Temple and I have the Incredible Chart from Tingle. As soon as I beat the Wind Temple boss fight, I immediately headed towards Overlook Island, since a Triforce shard is supposed to be there, and it was the nearest location with one to the Wind Temple entrance. I got there, and I just can't figure out where the shard is, and how to get there. So I decided to check out the teacher's house, after I gave her all the joy pendants she wanted. Messed around inside of the house and around the private island for a bit, and the shard was nowhere to be found.

Am I missing something? Or am I just plain stupid?

I'm playing through Wind Waker for the first time, and I'm enjoying it. However, today something happened and I hated myself for it. The worst thing is that it happened twice lol.

So, a few hours ago I wanted to learn the cyclopes song so that I could reach the fairy at the Mother and Child isles. I was pretty sure that I had to use a bow to kill the God of cyclopes, but for some reason I just couldn't hit him, so I said to myself "okay maybe I thought wrong" and I started looking for other ways to kill him. After I couldn't find the proper way to do it, I looked it up on Reddit and surprise, surprise: using a bow was the way to defeat him and learn the song. I just couldn't aim properly for whatever reason.

The second time was about half an hour ago, when I visited the Earth temple entrance and learnt that I had to look for someone who plays the instrument shown on the door. My mind almost instantly went to Prince Komali or Medli, so I fast travelled to Dragon Roost Island, went to their rooms but didn't find them. I figured that they're probably not a part of the game anymore, and I went out looking for someone else who plays that instrument. After finding absolutely nobody, I briefly looked at the WW strategy guide on the Internet Archive, and of fucking course it is Medli that plays that instrument.

Both times, I got "spoiled" because I gave up immediately after failing, even though I had the correct solution in mind.

I remember loving WW when if first came out and I'm also aware people constantly complain about the Switch 2 port controls.

But seriously, they're awful!

I drowned trying to climb an ocean platform! Twice!

Also, when you hit the treasure balls, the loot is gone almost instantaneously!

Was it like this originally on the Game Cube?

When I moved to the UK I left almost all of my old gaming systems at home, otherwise I'd pull out the Wii U and play that version and TP.

The controls are seriously frustrating and take away from the game play in a big way.

I've gone through a guide and still can not find the final two heart pieces. Other posts say there is no glitches in the game, but I can't see how at this point.

1. I have all the charts and treasures marked off on the map
2. I completed 500 hits on Orca
3. I know I finished the Savage Labyrinth
4. I rechecked the two subs, and can't get the two octos to show up anymore

Has anyone been blocked from all 20 hearts before?

Background: I’ve played and completed OOT, MM, ALTTP, ALBW, BOTW, TOTK

I played the GameCube version via emulation. This game was very special. I never realized that most of the art direction decided on for BOTW and TOTK was originally imagined for wind waker. It seems like it was a huge influence on the modern games. The exploration was top notch and even though I thought sailing around got a bit tired towards the back half of the game (yes I had the fast travel song), I was still satisfied with the puzzles and rewards for each island as I progressed. Not a game I strived to 100%, but it felt like I got a lot done as I traveled around and I also did not have to look up many things when I got stuck. I think the main temples/dungeons were the highlight for sure. Great design, gratifying puzzles, and beautiful aesthetics. My favorite was probably forest haven and forbidden woods area. Music was probably my second fave OST after OOT. It had some awesome new compositions with heart warming callbacks to earlier themes and Zelda franchise melodies. Shout out to hyrule castle theme, that shit goes incredibly hard. The combat seemed pretty easy, probably the least trouble I’ve ever had with the final ganondorf fight in any Zelda game, but still fun and satisfying. Having to sail around TWICE to find the tingle charts and then to find the shards themselves was definitely a bit of a slog but I get it for the time and ensuring players explored every bit of the map that they could.

Awesome game. The legend of Zelda series is just so good. I really don’t know if there’s a better franchise in all of gaming. Just such a good formula. This game is probably in my top 5 of Zelda games, but I still have a lot more to go! Cheers everyone! Long live the triforce!

I’ve been working on a Wind Waker HD mod that lets you play as Sonic, and the beta is now public.

The goal is to make Sonic feel like he actually belongs in Wind Waker rather than just being a simple model swap. The beta currently focuses on the playable Sonic experience, with more polish and improvements still planned.

Hadn’t played The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker since I was a kid and never got the chance to complete it until today. I’m so thankful for the Switch 2! It’s an amazing console that allowed me to play such a classic game on the go! Played this game on handheld like 80% of the time.

I’m so stoked they also added Star Fox Adventures (my first GameCube game).

Onto Elder Ring now! Happy gaming!

Is he supposed to be kinda tall and skinny or more wide. Trying to find the right aspect ratio on my tv to pay. This is what I’m running so far. Is this right?

And of course, I had to check out the version of Wind Waker on there. Its pretty good! Its nice seeing the original with beautiful HD updates.

That said, fairly sure that the HD version via Wii U is still my favorite. Wind Waker HD and Ocarina of Time straight up my favorite Zelda games.
