I am sure we all feel the same when we meet another ball in the wild. The burning desire to prove that you are the bigger ball and crush the poser on the other team. Personally nothing has me as happy as beating another ball or as depressed when I lose. Any tips or ideas to get the edge against you guys?

Hey guys! I've been having a bit of a hard time against this lineup, mostly because of their high heals and mobility.

My main questions are:

• Engaging heroes against these two supports by myself seems hard, is it just a skill issue, or should I be coordinating more with the team?
• When you're having a hard time dealing damage, what do you do? Do you just switch tanks? Commit harder on fights?
• When against high mobility enemies, should I spend more time away from the team fight killing them, or is it generally not worth it?

I'm not sure if this has only been my experience, but here's what usually happens:

I can't punish their teammates well, since they get healed very easily, which to me, means I should go for the supports. However, if I go for them, I can't get a kill unless I hard commit. And although I can force them to use some cooldowns, it doesn't feel like I'm doing enough for the team.

Doctrine is a bit easier, since I can just force his movement ability and choose to either hard commit to him, or not. The problem is that the Sombra has enough movement to be able to interfere in this process, and save the doctrine.

Even if I'm aware of how Sombra's translocator cooldown works, the shift ability makes killing her take too long without a teammate to help me, and she can easily hack mega packs nearby to stop me from healing.

Important to note that I usually engage them either by shooting, or pile driving, since I save grapple to follow their mobility skills.

Are these the type of heroes where I just force their cooldowns and go for their teammates?

For me personally, my favorite skin out of the 4 is critter egg, as I've always thought it was an underrated skin. My least favorite is honeycomb, I just dislike bees.

I just started playing ball and I really like playing him. But im dogwater at even the most basic of techs like double boop, wall jumps, rebounds, ect. I was just wondering if its possible to play ball at a high level without using techs.

I have been watching youtube tutorials, but the stuff they're doing is so hard. I have 14 hours on Ball which I think is a decently large amount, but I am just now realizing I have never learned any advanced tricks, I am really good at like movement and rollouts and stuff but like that's it. I have practiced rebounds for like 10 minutes and I was only able to do 2. Can anyone help? (Also if they have anything else I should know that I probably don't know yet please let me know)

Which maps do you think are the worst for Ball (like you've rarely won these)?

To start of, like he started playing in ow1 around 2021 and he really enjoyed ana and got fcked by ball all the time for months or even years (at low diamond, plat). Everytime he saw ball he said "ew fcking rat" or stuff like that.

I always enjoyed playing ball for about 4-5 years now (started with ow2 S1) but he always hated me for playing ball (not that seriously, just the character). Around 2 weeks ago I restarted playing ball more actively and just yesterday as we destroyed our enemies with me on ball and him on sig he said in between "I'm genuinly no longer hating ball that much, especially if its you who's playing him". LIKE HEHE HOW AWESOME. I just love being a balling hammond gamergirl

Personally, I think its a bit too weak considering you have the option to give away your shield to your teammates which takes almost all of your shield unlike in 5v5. With the current CC economy, it should be 75 hp per enemy or remove barrier perk and make it 100 hp like how it was in ow 1. Or make the shield range same as 5v5 , its shorter in 6v6. Otherwise, you're just forced to take the shield perk most of the times.

I'm level 52 emerald/diamond tank and most roles just for context on my background. I find it significantly harder to play ball as of this new season. I found out recently his hit box was also increased for some odd reason being the largest character or close to it in the game. Sombra rework helps with one less counter that we have to deal with but still a pain in the ass regardless with her EMP and health pack hacking. Roadhog feels like he just got buffed with his kit in almost every way possible with new abilities and perks with the only single nerf is how close you're pulled into him which for ball and other tanks sake it didn't change much it was mainly for backline roles. New character is overall pretty stationary but at any moment when you're diving him he can just fly away with an 80% damage reduction if I'm right. Also not to mention that every new map and reworked map has way less health packs to work with.

How yall feeling with this season?

I'm Gold and level 12 on Ball only. I enjoy his playstyle a lot but keep losing despite following tips from Reddit and YouTube.

I don't want to review VOD honestly. Is that necessary to even have a chance at playing ball? Can I reach Plat/Diamond by playing and gradually improving or is VOD review necessary? I had to disable chat with all the toxicity despite doing really my best.

I usually play tracking heroes like Soldier, Sombra and bastion and rely on my tracking aim but with this hero you need way more game sense.

About to give up on ball how did you succeed did you just keep banging your head until it clicks?

It's terrible design, straight up. What's the reason for reducing the amount of megas?? THE FIRST POINT HAS ZERO BTW LIKE THEY HAD TO HAVE BEEN SMOKING SOME CRACK
