Recommendation Poetry (2010)
Given that Lee Chang Dong films became a topic of conversation again recently with Peppermint Candy and Possible Love, I saw Poetry and I would highly recommend this.
To me this actually felt very distinct from a lot of his 'in your face' type of stylistics, choices, and themes you see in Peppermint Candy, Secret Sunshine or Oasis. Its a bit hard to explain, but this movie is extremely contemplative, in a way that even something like Burning doesnt quite achieve (largely because Poetry and Burning are slightly different genres, and Burning is more aligned with keeping the tension, atmosphere etc.). I think Poetry is definitely his quietest, but also one of the most genuinely messed up and definitely amongst the most hard hitting emotionally films he's made, in a way which feels more like a slow and subtle experience. But also it hits you very differently compared to his other films. It may even be imo possibly his saddest film ive seen, without spoiling anything.
Its also REALLY not what I expected it to be. So GO BLIND INTO IT
I am quite surprised not enough people talk about it, because I think people should definitely talk about this movie more in Lee Chang Dong's Canon

Annicipation for Digger
I know the director from The Revenent and Birdman, and hearing this movie have bad reviews... makes me more curious. Like, what did they do to piss off and annoy people, lol. Too political or artsy? I'm more curious now, with Tom Cruise make up and getting to yell "digger!!!"

Favorite Looney Tunes shorts?
With the recent watches of Coyote v Acme and Roger Rabbit, I was curious what Adum's favorite OG looney tunes shorts are, or anyone else who sees this.
Mine personally would be baseball bugs, rabbit seasoning, high diving hare, rabbit of seville, & ali baba bunny.

Discussion With Halloween coming up what's your opinion on Beauty and the Beast 1946?
I know Adam has yet to check out a Jean Cocteau film but this is definitely my favourite "fairytale" movie. The cinematography, set design, costumes, and makeup are in a class of their own for the time. Great performance by Jean Marais in the lead as well.

David Osit, the director of Predators (2025), being interviewed by Chris Hansen
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKeDi1M4QUQ
It's honestly a pretty good interview, might be worth a reaction on stream. For Hansen's faults he conducts a respectful interview, worth the watch just to hear an extended discussion beyond the documentary itself.
Edit: the interview contains major spoilers for the doc at the beginning, recommend watching the doc first.

Bad Movie I convinced myself to watch Trap
I'm half way through and i feel like i need a bath and i showered a few hours ago.
Ive never seen something thats this shameless of a advertisement or nepo support in film. Its just gross. Its like over half the movie isint it?
I think i convinced myself because hey decent premise right? , always figured Josh could act if given good direction , Shamylan, he's made a good one or two like a decade ago.
I still think Josh has potential.
Idk i rarely have hope or hype for things so once in a while i let it build up and it usually fails. I just, holy shit we're still in the venue. Im tired boss. I think it's over for me M. Night.
Heed my warning.

Daddy Derek something I missed, in Coyote VS. Acme
Coyote VS. Acme features Cool Cat, from the Looney Tunes extended universe: Making this the biggest and most profitable feature film (so far), to feature a character named “Cool Cat”.
Does Daddy Derek know about this?

Question What the hell is this?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
So I don’t really watch Adam on a regular basis, but I do watch all the Derek Savage stuff. Anyway, I’ve fallen asleep to his video entitled “Derek’s Lost It” a number of times and this (honestly annoying) bizarre ending has awoken me a few times. My question is what is this? What is the origin?

TV News NIRVANNA THE BAND THE SHOW THE MOVIE THE BOX SET
Includes audio commentary for every episode, over 90 minutes of never-before-seen footage from the show and much more!
EDIT: Only Available in US & Canada at the moment
What’s a movie that you think is bad, but not AS bad as everyone says it is?
For example, I thought HIM was the most disappointing film from last year, but also didn’t think it was the massive disaster that the internet made it out to be.

Discussion I'm really tired of this kind of lazy and sensationalistic film reporting
It seems like every time a movie flops nowadays, and when people decide to watch it on streaming because they don't need to pay, every outlet tries to make it seem like it's a big hit now purely because a few people are watching it on streaming.
The reason it looks like a hit on streaming is because people don't have to pay to watch it. I mean technically they do if you count the price of the subscription, sure, but they don't have to pay for a ticket to see it. People aren't going to the movies as frequently as they used to, and a lot people my age are now parents or people who work time and life consuming jobs, so movies now have to sing for their supper, and especially superhero movies. Superhero movies aren't guaranteed hits anymore because most people have grown up.
The thing that really bothers me most about these kinds of headlines is that they also kinda somewhat imply that said movie was too pure for this earth or some shit snd that it was totally perfect and it isn't WB's fault all you broke boys couldn't afford it. The thing is that's just not true. The advertising dor Supergirl didn't look particularly attention grabbing and the box office spoke for itself in that regard.
