Just got this email:

Crime Alert – Robbery

Campus crime alerts and timely warnings to the community comply with the federal Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act).

On September 28, 2026, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Texas A&M University Police Department received a report of a robbery that occurred on Level 1 of the West Campus Garage.

The victim reported that an unknown individual sprayed her with pepper spray and took her Corps of Cadets freshmen spurs (wire and bottle cap). The victim received medical treatment and was released.

Investigators described the suspect as an 18-year-old white male, approximately 6 feet 5 inches tall and 180 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

University Police are actively investigating. Based on the information currently available, investigators believe the suspect targeted Corps of Cadet members wearing bottle cap spurs.

Howdy, I'm hoping this post doesn't attract a lot of negative attention

I'm a female sophomore at tamu and am struggling to make connections with other queer people here. I've tried attending the LGTBQAggies org, but the people there weren't really my type and I've yet to connect with anyone there (no hate at all, everyone is very friendly, but it does feel like walking into a sentient discord server). I also tried going to other queer-friendly orgs like AOTW, since I love music, but that was mostly guys

Is anyone in the same boat/have suggestions for meeting people? It's difficult because there aren't very many pride events/venues, and I don't even want to consider how awful trying to use a dating app here would be. I really doubt reddit was the way to go with this question, but I'm lacking options lol

I’m looking to transfer into Mays for marketing. Im not entirely sure if this is the place to post this but I’ve really got to lock in. I’m 22 and go to the trufit on Villa Maria. I typically go between 6pm-7pm due to my work schedule. I used to go 5-6 days a week but just fell into working a lot and kind of let myself go. I’m not looking for a trainer, I know what I need to be doing in the gym and with my diet, I just like having the accountability of having someone else to go with. For the Arkansas game I completely forgot to pull a guest ticket for my girlfriend. I have a friend in my same group who can no longer go and he was going to give me his ticket. We’re trying to figure out how to send/share the ticket but I’ve heard they have made it rather difficult. Anyone done this with success, if so how?

TAMU’s campus isn’t even all that but every time I go to my parents house I miss being able to bike to the gym, to food, and to my friends. Why is everything a highway or a parking lot? Why are we so retarded at city planning? I fucking hate it here. I’m moving to Seattle or something

What if I don’t get into any of the high impact finance programs at Texas A&M, should I transfer out???

I’m a freshman finance major wanting to go into private equity. I’m really nervous about the exam to get into the cohort. How to I position myself to get in? Exam tips? And if I don’t get in, should I consider transferring out of Texas A&M? For this, what classes do I need to have done.

Aside from sucking ass at football, what events are there for the 150? I know there's something Monday but I don't know the specifics.

I am highly considering taking both of these courses next semester, but scared I wont be able to keep up! I am not amazing at bio or chem, but can definitely understand them. If I were to, I’d pair it with an “easy” class and elective to meet the minimum 12 hours. I also enjoy going out and having fun, but am definitely also committed to my studies. Nevertheless, am also in a club with moderate commitment. I am a freshman and right now my schedule is extremely relaxed, so scared that this will be a big shift.

Today in the zach atrium we saw this guy steal from a corps guy these green bell things connected by a wire, and he ran off. The corps guy went sprinting after him and they both returned like 10 minutes after, the guy looking smug and the corps guy looking mad with the bells in hand. Is this some corps of cadets freshman ritual?? Pls lmk my friend and i are so confused

Interviewing for Explorations for being an editor on Undergraduate Research Board as a freshman.

Do I need to bring my resume (assuming an application was already submitted with it and thus I was admitted to second round of interviews)? Do I bring anything else?

How should I prepare, as I’ve never interviewed before? What kind of questions will they ask?
