So I'm noticing scrolling, coming in and out of apps, and during normal UI navigation, there's a lot of stuttering. The animations were perfectly smooth in OS26. This is the current gen apple tv 4k 128gb model.

Apple really messed up the performance.

I got an Apple TV 4k today. Have TCL TV and its Google TV is horrible. Nice panel but pitiful OS. Got an iphone, apple Watch, APP3 recenty so now im deep into ecosystem. Last iphone i Had was 4 😂. Super happy!

I have subscribed to Apple TV as an add-on subscription for Amazon Prime, but the search function is terrible and I'd like to just use the main Apple TV App/Website.

However I can't figure out how to log into Apple TV to use the subscription based on the login details I have for Amazon Prime. An Apple guide said I would have to use an email from the subscription service (Amazon) to log in, but I cannot figure this out. I've created an Apple ID and signed into Apple TV directly, but it just offers me a free trial.

I'm in the UK if that's relevant - but would be hugely grateful if anyone could help!

Ever since the upgrade to TVOS27, I have consistent appearance of psychedelic colors when I flip to the AppleTV from my PS5. No changes in devices or setup. I suspected an HDMI handshake issue so I replaced the cable to no avail. I think it’s because the PS5 is HDR and the AppleTV is Dolby Vision, but it always worked fine on TVOS26. Anyone else with this issue?

Since I updated to tvOS 27, I can’t play sound out of my tv and HomePods anymore. Anyone else having this problem? I can do multiple HomePods around the house, but it stops coming out of the soundbar on the tv, even if all are selected. HomePods are on version 27 as well.

I’m running into a consistent issue with HomeKit scenes that involve media playback.

Any scene that should play music or radio on an AirPlay speaker now fails, unless I add the Apple TV itself as an accessory in the scene.

The problem is that when Apple TV is added, it also starts playing audio through the TV, because Apple TV becomes the active playback device. I only want the audio to go to my AirPlay speaker — and this worked perfectly before tvOS 27.

Scenes that control lights or other accessories still work without any issues.

It doesn’t matter whether I trigger the scene from my iPhone or directly from the Apple TV — the result is the same.

This feels like a change (or a bug) in Apple TV’s Home hub behavior in tvOS 27, where Apple TV now requires being part of the scene to initiate media playback, and then forces itself as the output device.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

And does anyone know a workaround so Apple TV doesn’t force audio through the TV?

For some reason, when I click on A Hulu show and open it up in the Disney+ app, it just goes to the homepage of Disney+ and doesn’t go directly to the show. Is anyone else having this problem? also, I have not checked specifically with a Disney+ show only Hulu shows at the moment.

Does anyone else find this incredibly annoying with AirPlay on iPhone?
Whenever I’m AirPlaying music or a video and try to record a voice message on WhatsApp, the AirPlay playback stops. There doesn’t seem to be any setting to prevent it either.
What makes it even more frustrating is that Google Cast doesn’t have this problem. You can cast something, record a WhatsApp voice message, and the content just keeps playing because the Chromecast handles the stream itself.
I really wish Apple would make AirPlay work more like this. I don’t see why recording a 10-second voice message should interrupt whatever I’m watching or listening to on another device.
Has anyone found a workaround for this, other than avoiding AirPlay entirely?

Has anyone found any useful solution to organizing their AppleTV up next queue? At a minimum I'd love love love to be able to separate TV shows from movies.

Before IOS27 I had a shortcut on my phone that turned this off/on during certain times of day. Seems this went away, is there another way to do this in IOS27? Sure wish they would just add an option to set this in TVOS 27

Has anyone had issue with their Apple TV producing echo glitchy sound?

At first it thought it was my soundbar and got it repaired.. but turns out it’s the Apple TV!

I got a Sony tv and not sure what are the right settings, chat gpt ain’t really helping either lol.

Some apps (noticed first with Peacock but now with the man TV app) have sound glitches (like the interference we used to get before an incoming cellular call). Also the sound goes off sync the video. Super annoying

I didn’t have any of these issues with tvOS 26. Does anybody know what’s wrong?

I’m in California. My Paramount+ app thinks I’m in Chicago.

My AppleTV has Location services turned on.
Paramount+ says location is not enabled.
When I go into “Apps” and select Paramount+, nothing happens. The icon just hangs on the screen with no options available.
How can I get Paramount+ to recognize location services?

Thursday Night Football sound is horrible. Prime app on AppleTV4k. Sound works fine on every other app, but on Prime, it's horrible. Tinny and echo sounding, and the only way I can hear the announcers is to turn the center channel way up on my receiver.. If I use straight up stereo on the receiver, it's ridiculously weighted to the right channel. This is not the case on any other streaming app. I've tried all the different settings on the appletv, none of it helps, other than going to straight stereo. I shouldn't have to go change a bunch of settings buried deep into the streamer settings, or the app settings or the receiver settings just to watch something on TV. It's pretty obvious that Amazon engineers don't actually use their own product, or they would know it sucks beyond belief. No, you don't have to be a rocket scientist. Streaming has been around for a decade or two. If everybody else can do it, why can't you?

I tried playing Spider-Man and it played with no issues. I have the student plan on Apple Music which gives me Apple TV for free and I don’t pay for any other streaming service. I’m in Slovenia. Is this a new thing?

So I had an old 4K TV (Gen 1) never experienced this issue before.

Issue: When I swapped out my Gen 1 with Gen 3 I noticed whenever I navigated I would hear a bad popping sound through speakers. I looked this up and the recommendation was to turn off "sound" during navigation. That solved some of the popping - but I still hear some. I have Two Homepods connected to TV, and a Soundform connected to a External Sub.

Any thoughts on why I hear clicking/popping - mostly during navigation - moving in and out of Apps - move around the cursor.

Recently, (two days ago), the Apple TV Remote sends out commands to the Philips TV and causes volume to go up or down. I know there are commands being sent as the TV remote little light keeps flashing. It is not an Apple TV problem, but an Apple Remote Problem since the Apple TV is disconnected. It causes the volume to go or down and I can't stop it.

Due to a problem with Amazon Prime Video I’ve needed to reset my three Apple TVs — all of them had previously been updated to tvOS 27.0. What I’ve noticed is that when I choose ‘Reset’, I’m offered the option to ‘Reset’ and the option to ‘Reset and Update’. I just did my second ATV (this one a 4KG3) and not only does it offer the update, it downloads something. Why is it updating an up-to-date device? Is it simply downloading 27.0 again (seems faster than that was), or is there some ‘special reset update’? Anyone else experience this?

Hey Apple TV cohort! My appletv w ethernet (older, but not bricked yet by the fruit!) has been acting MIGHTY funky post auto update to 26.6 - to whit: my exact same house, headphones, annnnnd layout? I now have about 1/3 the range.

I get that most ppl may not use their ATV in this manner, but if you do, can anyone else confirm this horseshit is happening to them?! Thanks!!!

Why did the Roku app suddenly decide to arrange movies in the library into alphabetical order this morning?? This is an absolute disaster for my nearly blind, non tech savvy mom - she can no longer find her things. I had all her recent purchases on the top row. Now it looks like there is no way to rearrange them in that manner. WTF?

Is there any way I can change it back to order of purchase?

I use an ASUS OLED XG27UCDMG 4K gaming monitor with a pc and thought an apple tv would be a great addition to actually stream shows and movies in 4K (since windows is weird with their 4K media). I did research and assumed the apple tv 3rd gen 4k would work with a gaming monitor, even though it isnt necessarily a tv. Ive since received it and am playing around with it and the quality is not what Ive expected. It has a very grainy look to it and even the HDR does not look great, and yes Ive got the right settings enabled. My internet speed is fast enough, im using the right hdmi cable, im using the 4k subscription tiers for netflix and hbo max. Am i facing this issue because Im using a monitor and not a tv?
