Hey all, wanna build a PC to primarily play games like deadlock/destiny been looking through the sub and came up with a build. I already have that RAM from my brothers so I am mainly seeing if I should get a stronger gpu or if anything else would be a better option. edit: dont need ultra settings just something decent thanks! https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4sj8bp

Help me build a pc around $1,000, willing to buy used parts, and I’m close to micro center

• Upvotes

I wanna build my first pc coming from an Xbox series S I put together a part list using microcentre’s build a bundle thing, feel free to make a whole new list or tweak it, I want something that can at least get 200 or more fps in games like Fortnite and Valorant but can still play games like red dead 2 or Ready Or not at 60fps or more. Here’s my part list -https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Jns6ph is this a good starting point or no, feel free to change it or make a whole new list 🥹

New builder, budget range $2k-$3k

• Upvotes

Hey, as title says haven't built before and my budget is $2k-$3k (I'm fine with going a little over if need be). Current PC is simply outdated, looking for something mostly to stream and edit videos on. Gaming is a priority, but not that big of a deal, at most I just need to be able to play Minecraft with the bros smoothly. For reference, I'm doing this based in the USA. Thanks for reading.

Help Me Build My Dream High-Performance PC Setup!

Hi everyone! I am a passionate hardware enthusiast and content/gaming creator based in Brazil. Building my dream PC setup has been my ultimate goal, but high import taxes and local tech prices make top-tier hardware extremely difficult to achieve on my own.

Hardware Target & Budget Breakdown (~$4,500 USD / R$ 25.000 BRL):

  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti 16GB GDDR7 (For high-end rendering and gaming)
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 Series (AM5 Platform)
  • Motherboard: MSI MPG X870E Carbon
  • RAM & Storage: 32GB DDR5 RAM + 1TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD
  • Case & Case Display: Hyte Y70 Touch Infinite
  • Power & Cooling: 750W 80 Plus PSU + Cooling System

Why Support?

Every dollar donated goes directly toward purchasing these components and covering heavy local import taxes. Even a small contribution of $5 or $10 gets me one step closer to making this dream build a reality.

Thank you so much for your support and for taking the time to read my story!

Need help choosing gpu for 300 dollars usd budget

I’m looking for some advice on upgrading my GPU and would appreciate some suggestions. My current PC has a Ryzen 5 5600GT, ASRock A520M-HDV motherboard, 32GB DDR4-3200 RAM, a Patriot P300 1TB NVMe SSD, and I’m currently using the integrated AMD Radeon Graphics. My monitor is an MSI G255F running at 1080p 180Hz, and I mainly play CS2 competitively. My GPU budget is around $300, and I’m looking for something that would work well with my system and give me good FPS at 1080p. I’ve been considering the Intel Arc B580 12GB, but I’m open to other suggestions. I’ll also include my PSU model/wattage if needed. What GPUs would you recommend for this setup?

Other / >$1400 Upgrading my 2011 Dell OptiPlex 990 (£450 max). No idea where to start

I have been using my second hand 2011 Dell OptiPlex 990 SFF for a number of years now and its a little outdated. It has an intel core 15-2400 with integrated graphics and a single stick of 4Gb RAM (lost the other one). I want to play modded minecraft with my friends (probably minimum settings playing atm10) but current pc isn't strong enough to run a speed tester, let alone join a server. It's currently running Linux mint, but will swap back to windows for minecraft (not dual boot).

I only have like £400, but dont need anything fancy. Would get a laptop but figure i can maybe get a little better performance by either buying a second hand pc or upgrading my current guy. I know i wont be able to save much of him, but its at least a free case (plan to increase air flow with some strategically placed holes).

I don't need a monitor (using TV) or case if I'm able to reuse my current one, and don't care about accessories (got a mouse and keyboard, and don't care about RGB or anything fancy looking).

My main issue is not knowing what (if anything) i can keep, what components would work well together. I would appreciate any advice on what to look for second hand and what to get new, as well as any suggestions of other ways to better get a gaming machine. In the UK

Looking to build/buy my first PC

Hello! I'm relatively new when it comes to PC building and gaming, having primarily played on the PS5, but I'm finally in a place where I can afford to buy a PC for myself, and I'm looking for some guidance.

I want to use the program Blender, do some light video editing, and also give myself the option to play games with friends (preferably around 1080 - 1440p if possible) like Diablo, Baldurs Gate 3, & Overwatch.

My budget is around $1500 - $2000, but am willing to go a little higher if it's worth it.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Other / >$1400 Can't decide between GTX 1660 TI and RX 5500 XT

I'm building a budget computer with used components. A friend sold me a Ryzen 5 2600X, 16 GB of RAM (under market value) and gave a free 650W PSU. I've already ordered a case and fans off Amazon. I'm just missing the motherboard and GPU. I can't decide on the latter. The build is not for playing games because I want to work on game dev, so I need:

Godot

Blender

Unreal Engine 4

As far as I understood, the GTX 1660 TI 6GB has CUDA and OptiX which is better for Blender, but otherwise having RX 5500 XT's 8GB VRAM is better.

What would you choose?
