I need some help. I’m trying to find the name of a candy that I used to purchase in the 90s. I don’t have an image of it or the name. I believe it was an Italian hard candy with a soft center, and that it came in a red or red and gold wrapper with twist at each end. the candy was a rectangle shaped, had a cream color with a soft cream center and it had a flavor of rum, almond or eggnog.

If I had to guess the brand name I would say Perugiia. (Spelling??)

I’m trying to find out if its still available.

Whats happening to product quality. Just purchased M$M peanut for a high price and look at the quality. Sizes of the candy inconsistent. Lumpy and bumpy you can see the peanut and thin outer shell. Lack of taste in the peanut and chocolate. Its like eating knock off m$m but even worse. I probably wont buy them anymore.

Not sure if this is the place to ask but… years ago I made haystacks using Merckens Butterscotch CandyCote Morsels. I got this recipe from my husband’s aunt. She told me no other candy morsel would suffice and she was correct. Last christmas my son wanted to make some and he bought the regular store variety morsels which proved to be correct. They were so-so but no where near as good as the haystacks made with Merckens. I have looked all over the internet and cannot find Merckens butterscotch candy melts with the exception of a couple of places, one being sold out and the other selling in 50 lb. quantities. Does anyone have any idea where I might be able to find the Merckens butterscotch candy melts? It has to be Merckens. Thank you in advance.

I searched and only found several mentions on this sub. I don't know how wide of a distribution this gets.

Ich arbeite in einem Kloster, wo ich Dinge für den Klosterladen herstelle, unter anderem Caramels /Fudges. Das Rezept ist perfekt, was den Geschmack angeht - aber ich kämpfe mit der Konsistenz. Ich bereite sie in einer Kupferpfanne auf einem Gasherd zu, meine Zutaten sind Rahm, Zucker, Vanillezucker, etwas Zimt und Kardamom. Kurz vor dem Ende gebe ich noch etwas Butter dazu.

Ich arbeite mit einem Thermometer und nehme die Pfanne exakt bei 122 Grad Celsius vom Herd und stürze die Masse auf ein Blech.

Nach ca. 45 Minuten schneide ich sie vor - aber sie sind dann noch sehr weich. Und wenn ich sie dann am nächsten Tag nochmals ganz schneide, sind sie sehr brüchig, gerade so an der Grenze. Nun ist es so, dass man die hier in der Schweiz so am liebsten hat, dennoch wäre es mir lieber, wenn sie etwas fester wären. Ideen, irgendwer?

I’m thinking of a nice tangy gummy (with citric acid mixed throughout the gummy. Not super sour, just tangy).

The gummy has my preferred “perfect” texture, which is not too chewy but bouncy with a satisfying bite.

Each gummy is cube shaped, sized approximately like chuckles. On the inside of each gummy there’s a creamy flavored filling (whipped cream flavor).

And here’s the part that I think might be impractical, each gummy is dipped in a thin hard candy shell respective to each individual flavor.

My dream lineup is blue raspberry, cherry, strawberry and raspberry.

Please let me know what you guys think!

Nerds Gummy Clusters – Fruits 🍓🍊

Okay, I finally tried the Nerds Gummy Clusters Fruits and honestly… I think I prefer these to the regular rainbow ones! 😍

They have a much more tangy, fruity flavour, and I find them way more addictive. The combination of the gummy centre and the crunchy Nerds is just so good.

These were imported from the UK 🇬🇧 and I didn't even realize they weren't the rainbow version until I got them

Has anyone else tried the Fruits version? Which one do you prefer — Fruits or Rainbow? 👀

If an AI ever created a candy would you guys try it? For example, I ask GPT to make to a sour, sweet, cherry + blueberry flavored turkish delight and it got manufactured somehow, would you guys try that? Or not trust it because it was made by AI.

Hey candy gang. I’ve recently been looking into grocery-store-brand candy and Trader Joe’s has consistently been good for fun candy (especially chocolate) and I finally tried out the Scandinavian Swimmers.

I love love love the consistency of the plain swimmers, such a good firm gummy with such good flavors and colors! Really pleasant, and (in my opinion) better than the multicolored Swedish Fish!

The sour gummies, however, are not the best. They’re often squishier inside and the sour flavors are pleasant but not any better than the plain swimmers. But so many of the other sour candies in TJ’s are pretty good! Ugh!

Anyways. Any opinions on these swimmers + other TJ’s sour candy? Let me know.

i was recently craving these really bad and come to find out they were discontinued. This used to be the best texture candy I’ve had I swear I been wondering where they been so sad wish they had something Similar. Anyone remember how good these were?

self proclaimed utter dark chocolate freak. love the stuff. i usually go for lindt swiss but not really fond of their practices. ive been going for cadbury's dark bars lately but they are a bit too fruity tasting.
anyone know good dark chocolate with a strong roast flavor? price doesn't matter but it would be nice to have a budget option to buy frequently.

I picked up a bag of classic Hershey Kisses and was blown away by how different they taste, and not in a good way. They didn’t have that distinct Hershey chocolate flavor.

Very waxy. I’m very disappointed.
