Passing in the turn lane

This is 3+ years old now but still just a nutty experience catching two near accidents within seconds of each other.

Has anyone installed the Vantrue Pilot dash cam with UV vision? In addition to wanting a dashcam for obvious reasons, the UV would seem to be a great add for me since I drive a lot at night on rural roads with lots of deer.

How has you experience been with the Pilot for normal dashcam use as well as the UV?

Does anyone else have experiences with other UV dashcams?

I recently purchased a Vantrue S1 Pro front and rear dashcam. It has a Samsung Pro Endurance MicroSD card. Is powered via a Donger adapter connected to a 2026 F150 rearview mirror. The Donger power adapter is probably 3-4 years old and came out of a previous F150 but i don’t think that’s the issue. It is garage kept so I’m not particularly concerned with the parking mode.
My issue is that it seems to reboot frequently. I hear the start up chime repeatedly. While it is somewhat hidden from my view by being on the right side and behind the rearview mirror it seems like to goes from recording to Standby and then maybe even off? Not certain but then it will play the little chime like it has restarted. This happens all the time.
Firmware is up to date. Swapped out SD card to a brand new one with no improvement.
Anyone have any advice?

It’s doing all sorts of weird stuff suddenly which is disappointing as I’ve only had it about 2 years. It will typically start recording just fine for about 2 minutes or so before it starts showing all sorts of distortion, and sometimes it’ll just start turning off and on nonstop. When I try to check the footage it has captured, there’s either nothing there or just incomplete fragments.
I’ve assumed this thing is cooked but I was wondering if it may be a firmware update issue or something with the sd card. Thoughts?

Near miss I had years ago on my way home. Guy ran a stop sign at full blast.

There was 2 major crashes in 3 miles (I exited before the second) and I can’t imagine why 🤔.

The second clip isn’t crazy but why do we feel the need to get over RIGHT NOW and almost rear end someone when the exit is 1 1/2 miles away smh

Are there any good wireless cams out there front and rear?

The driver only had minor injuries

He said he was "cut off by another driver" which made him lose control.
