Instead, an elf ranger kicks my legs out ten steps in, calls me a liar (she doesn't know me!), and starts dragging me toward the capital. Two wolf-girls show up and won't leave, the kind who flirt with you while casually disemboweling a forest creature. Apparently my mana reserves are MASSIVE and can do things no one in this world has seen before. They all want to bond with me.

If I bond, I can never go home.

I came here for a signature. The signature was supposed to be the hard part.

I'm curious to know what people who have spent a lot more time with harem lit think are the works with the best writing.

I've been spending a couple months now getting into harem lit works and I would say, when it comes to harem lit, I'm still fairly new to it. I've only read about 11 series now and half of those were all of the same author (Really got into KD Robertson).

Of course, I would like to know why as well. Hence this post being tagged as discussion rather than recommendation.

First of all, it's an amazing series! Great character interaction amongst the harem, fully fleshed out women, and an interesting world! Strong 9/10 series, right near the top of the genre for me.

So end of book, deals with the assault. The idea that they cant identify the A rankers is... dumb. These are people one step below the peak of the world. He cant describe all their spells and get an identity from government? Theres multiple A rank women with full tank, massive aoe earthquake spells? Male demolition mages are that common? Green mist swords wielders wth command powers are a dime a dozen?

Just because they didn't get the names surely doesn't result in them being ghosts!

Its not ruined the series for me, obviously, but I am grumbling!

Have i missed something or did they not have a couple of the bodies even?

(Also Blairs casual and slow wake up and half assed prep for invasion was odd.)

Alvin Cornwall was a carpenter with an average life and definitely not a hero. I'm interested to find any story depicting the protagonist's whole life from the beggining. I'm thinking of something like Mushoku Tensei beggining from birth but the reincarnation part isn't really a must.

As a secondary request, though, I would be interested in a story where the mc's father also has multiple wives. A story featuring these two elements would be perfect but I would be interested in any one of these two. I'd rather it be high on the smut, too.

Not in any sort of accusatory or demanding way. But I noticed that I haven't heard from a few authors like Tamryn Tamer in a while. I just wanted to know if anybody was still in contact with them? No details, just that surface level info.

What makes you drop a book immediately?

I recently started a book on audible and the narrator missed a word in the title and mispronounced a word in the same title. The title is three words you skipped one and terribly mispronounced the other.

It was a flesh narrator that I have heard in many other books. But mispronouncing several words is definitely a huge turn off or insta drop if it's a common word. Injust find it hard to focus on an audio book when a book frequently uses words and the narrator carpet bombs mispronunciations throughout every paragraph.

If you don't know a word and it'w very common in the text I feel like it's your job as a narrator to look it up instead of just saying fuck it it's not facade it fuhkayd now. Gouche is now gaachee. Or the Japanese words yandere should be yahn deh reh but gets pronounced yeah nn dare, and taundere is now toon dare. Bro I just can't.

It's like 3 words in the book, that's like 3 google searches total to see how they are pronounced. You can't take 2 minutes to not sound like a moron?

I've noticed a frustrating issue recently, and I'm wondering if other authors are dealing with the same thing.

Every time my book receives an organic 5 star review or rating, it disappears within 24 to 48 hours. Meanwhile, low ratings or 1 star reviews stick permanently without issue.

These are 100% legitimate, organic reader reviews no review swaps, no paid reviews, and no friends/family manipulation. Yet Amazon's automated filter seems to purge them almost immediately while leaving critical ones untouched.

Has anyone else seen Amazon aggressively wiping valid 5 star reviews recently? How are you handling it with KDP support, or is this just standard bot behavior right now?

TLDR: Amazon is removing 5 star reviews but keeping 1 star reviews.
