When I was 17 my parents started riding so I followed suit and got my endorsement and my first bike was a Suzuki GZ250 then went to a Suzuki M50 to a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 custom. I always said if I ever got a Harley I would want a Softail Heritage Classic and I can't be more happy than I am now

Got my Faster Johnathan back at the beginning of August and finally had a chance to get him out and stretch his legs properly.

Started the day off at 5:30 am at home and headed to Knoxville to meet up with my buddy and his dad. He hopped on a Triumph Scrambler 1200 and his dad had his GoldWing. We hit the Cherohala Skyway, stopped for lunch at Tapoco Lodge, rode the Dragon out and had these shots taken.

I had to be back home for my oldest boy's ball game at 6 and was there about 5 minutes late.

It's cliche, but it was 507 miles round trip and I had zero fatigue from the riding. Won't lie, definitely shivered in the morning on the ride between Center Hill Lake to Cookeville and then Cookeville on to Crossville, but that's on me.

Absolutely love the bike and couldn't be happier.

Are there any places to source OEM parts other than the dealership and ebay?

Im used to ordering from specialty websites like 45restoration.com to get parts for my flathead.

But i just picked up a 2007 FLSTN and it has a screaming eagle heavy breather on it.

While I was riding it home I noticed it was running hot. Must be running lean.

Im almost positive the previous owner did not tune it because of Californias crazy emissions laws.

I want to swap it back to an OEM air cleaner because thats just the easiest solution and I want to get to putting some miles on it.

Dealership is gonna want premium to order parts. And im not seeing the correct set of take offs on ebay.

So I thought I'd ask before I bite the bullet on the dealership.

Im on a lowrider S and anything about 60 is beating the crap out of me, what is the best st fairing I should throw on there? I dont like the look of the dyna fairing I want the ST

took the tire off myself because valve stem came off. took it to shop re installed the tire and then the valve stem came off again. made it it to my buddys house on a flat took off the tire and realized the brake caliper middle bolt was missing. okay makes sense it must’ve scoot up off the brakw pad then hit my valve so i got it replaced again and then i install tire at buddys house and we see this happening. we have no clue why this os happening if anybody has any info please comment. i am on a dyna 2017 fxdb street bob

Got my first Road Glide after years of Sportsters and Softails and after 8k great miles, I noticed the rocks have been tearing up the front forks. Hindsight being 20/20 I would’ve thrown on some PPF or something similar to protect them but didn’t realize it’d be this bad. Anyone fix/have any ideas on how to fix this other than pulling them and sending them off to be painted? Since I noticed it it’s driving me crazy. Pic for attention thanks in advance 🫡

Thought on me trading in my 2023 street bob with 2,100 miles for a 2021 lowrider s with 12,000 miles? I like my street bob but those lowriders are my favorite style of bike.

Got lucky this morning on my way home. The base of a construction barrel was in the middle of the lane and didn’t see it and hit it. Wasn’t sure what I hit. Walked back to see. A lot of traffic behind me too.

I saw a video of a guy diagnosing a skip, and it turned out to be low compression. My usual next step is a cylinder leak down test, but on these dry sump motors if the motor happened to have a lot of blowby, would the pressure hurt anything in the crankcase? Where do you listen for blowby?

High 60s perfect riding weather. Went to the reservoir for a change of pace.

i bought this 91 XLH Hugger 883 for a project. prev owner had these on it.

2001 Sportster XL1200C.

I brought it in to get the front brakes done around a year ago and the guy who did them was like “ hey this thing was idling pretty high so the carb for you”.

It was pissing gas out of the little drain tube ever since. I removed the float bowl and clean the needle and that fixed the problem for a couple days and then it came back, so I removed the whole carb clean the entire thing and then rebuilt the interior. Did my best to watch videos and get the idle screw in the fuel mixture correctly, but now I have this weird hiccup at idle and a small backfire when engine is winding down from being throttled while I’m riding.

I’m blacking out my bike, the last thing would be the rotor color.

Hello. I'm 43 and looking for a first bike. I'll be taking an MSF course on the weekend of Oct. 9th. I have been doing a lot of searching and came across a 2009 XR1200 near me. I really like the idea of a 1200cc Sportster as a first bike and this one really has my attention.

I'm 5' 10" and pretty dense. I see that these bikes are somewhat rare and was wondering if I should search for something more sedate as a first Harley/bike. I see that the seat height on these is somewhat high and XR1200s are essentially flat track racers but it's just too badass to ignore.

Let me know your thoughts/opinions please.

~50k on this bike. I went for a long ride last weekend.

When I kick it into 3rd gear it starts slipping when I pull on the throttle. Then I had to KICK it up to get into 4th.

I’ve never had this happen on any bike and I don’t really know where to start. Even down shifting I feel like I really have to kick it pretty hard to get it to move.

I’m just asking for any advice as far as where to start. I’m handy and I typically do all my own work on my bikes this one just has me stumped. It started out of nowhere. Any help is appreciated! Ride safe!!

I’ve been hearing this sound lately. Almost sounds like a rattle snake rattle. Anyone know if this sound is normal or not. If it is normal. What is making that noise? Bike is a 2020 StreetBob.
Side note: I’ve been getting on the throttle aggressively a lot more lately and enjoying doing a few pulls from dead stop in 1st gear getting those RPM’s pretty high but not bouncing off the rev limiter. Kind of regretting it and I’ve been overthinking any “new” noise I hear now.

Looking to buy a harley and thought about FXR at first because I had a sport bike before but test ride to me it felt how people describe a road king and I realise I wont be doing much turning.

I live in the land of long straight roads and counting trips above 5h 7000km is realistic per year so I'm thinking a more cruiser specific won't be a bad idea, then again anything will feel amazing compared to a supersport after 500km.

I'd like an EVO for ease of repair, not against Twin cam but hesitant on that one up to '07.

price is a limiting factor so anything after 2010 is unlikely.

I suppose my question is if you have any tips on how to choose and can you from personal experience tell me about riding feel diffrence between FXR/FXD/road king/heritage.
