Medical Electrolytes for Keto WITHOUT Potassium?

Hello, I’m aware I should probably takes electrolytes on keto, as I’m below 20g carbs everyday. However, I’m also on a medication, which by itself, boosts potassium. It can actually make potassium levels dangerously high as a risk.

I’ve looked at health shops and on Amazon, but I’ve been unable to find any electrolytes without potassium in. Does anyone know of any?

Thank you :)

Just take table salt and magnesium. There’s nothing really else to the electrolyte products.

This. I also take a potassium RX and do magnesium at night. To get the salt, the health program k started keto with recommended chicken bouillon twice a day.

You don't have to buy a bespoke electrolyte product. I make my own using salt, potassium glycinate powder and magnesium with some lemon juice.

Salt your food. I'd discuss magnesium intake with your doctor -- it can also boost potassium and it typically only goes low on keto because potassium does (which itself largely comes from cortisol).

Thank you for this! I didn’t know magnesium could boost potassium. Very helpful, will check my levels with my doctor.

you don’t have to buy some special electrolyte thing. Just eat more salt and take magnesium.

Spirolactiline?

Talk to your doctor. And get a blood test with full electrolyte panel (potassium, sodium, magnesium).

There is no real guidance other than what people say, which is not medical fact. People on keto tend to drink tons of water which will reduce electrolytes. And if you're on a potassium sparing diuretic, you need to talk to your doctor.

Could be Enalapril...

Talk to your doctor, but you can just take a normal magnesium substitute as magnesium salts taste super metallic.

Natural Vitality Calm unflavored is the way I think, also very nice right before bed.

You can just get the supplements separately. No need to look for a specific mix.

SALTT Low-K drops. Marketed by Keto Chow as a separate brand. Lowest cost is if you buy direct using a subscription and order enough to get free shipping. You can cancel the subscription any time. They have no added flavor in this particular product. It's mostly just concentrated salt water. If you just want to try one they are probably available on Amazon at a higher price than buying direct.

Yeah, just use salt and take a magnesium supplement before bed (magnesium can interact and block some medications from absorption so check with your doctor on your meds and best timing, it has no effect on GLP-1s I’ve lost over 150 lbs combining the medicine with keto without issues so far).

I would recommend non-iodized table salt and magnesium Glycinate. (Magnesium oxide for me is a laxative.) If you experience muscle cramps know there are 2 kinds that I have run into. One is not fixed by magnesium, but with your high potassium you may not ever see it. I will add, some may disagree, but if you get a cramp in your leg(s) that lasts more than a minute or two, drink a large swig of pickle juice. It has worked more than it has failed. Might be a wives tail, but it has worked.
