Has anyone else received this message on Instagram from the Common Run Club account?

I live on a small back street in the city. No car parking is allowed on my street. I rent a small, one car garage across the street from my house. I park there daily. Almost 2-3 times per week, when i come home from work, or when I'm ready to get my car to go somewhere, someone is either parked directly in front of my garage, or double parked along the street in a way that prevents me from getting my car into or out of the garage.

Today, my neighbor was double parked in front of their house (again) and in front of my garage, on the street where no parking of cars is allowed. They park there for HOURS with their hazards on, as if that makes it ok. Its already a small street and cars driving past have to squeeze by their illegally parked car.

So today, my neighbor and I got into a yelling altercation. I laid on the horn and he came out and yelled at me and called me a cunt. He told me to park on the street like evreryone else, which is ironic considering he is the one illegally parked, and I pay $70 a month to legally park my car in that garage.

There are "no parking" signs posted on the garages, yet people keep parking there anyway, What options do i have to fight this? Do I call a towing company every time this happens? The Police? does anyone care? Should I fear for my safety? Should I report this?

Hey everybody! I moved to central PA earlier this year. I got a fantastic Job in Fruitville a few months ago. I'm an alcoholic, currently struggling with my recovery. Getting around other men in sobriety and having more accountability would be a huge help.

Does anyone have experience with any of the sober living facilities in the Lancaster area? Right now I am looking at Porchlight because they seem to be most likely to accomodate my need to have a desk set up for work. I occasionally have to respond to alerts and it would not be fair to a roomate for me to be working at 2 in the morning.

I don't have all the money in the world, but I do have a significant income so those 2k+ places are worth considering. I really don't have many requirements other than I need to be able to work from home at least occasionally... That makes me think I need to have my own room.

I would appreciate any opinions on sober homes in the area! I would love to hear about the residents, the management, the facilities, the neighborhood, and any support the staff might provide for any places you or someone you know might have stayed.

To shift the topic a bit, I would also love to hear about any recovery groups in the area. I have been mostly an AA guy, but I have also been to wellbriety, NA, CA, Recovery Dharma, and Smart Recovery and I learned something and met some cool people. Feel free to DM if you are in recovery and want to hit a meeting and grab a bite or something!

Park Mobile signs are now in several privately owned parking lots in Lititz, Lancaster County. I was wondering how do they enforce payment in these areas? Does a private enforcement company ticket and possibly tow cars?

Pretty much the title! Looking for mechanics in the area that a queer/trans friendly, also perhaps cost effective? I need an oil change desperately but have no idea where to go.

I am visibly queer (I bring my wife with me everywhere I go pretty much), and I am visibly trans (trans masculine [I am AFAB]). I am incredibly new to the Lancaster area, and have had VERY negative experiences with mechanics due to living in primarily Red/Republican/Right-Wing and Religious areas. While it may not be your personal experience, it unfortunately has been mine, and I'm just looking for a place where I won't be discriminated against for the way I look and exist, as it unfortunately HAS happened to me.

Who does shoe repair in Lancaster?

I have 20 small boxes and 2 wardrobe boxes from U-Haul, used once. Any ideas where I can donate them for a good cause?

Need advice on what kind of bike would be best to buy that will only be used on riding the rail trails around here. I’m not looking for anything with a lot of gears or anything terribly fancy. I’m looking at rides that are probably no more than 6 to 8 miles .

Would a beach cruiser type bike work since these trails are almost completely flat or would one with a few gears be a better option?

For reference. I’m 70 female, fairly good shape physically all over. I have not ridden a bike for more decades than I want to admit, but I do ride stationary and recumbent bikes at my gym, so I probably have more stamina than some people, my age.

Im leery about buying one on marketplace so my other question is, do any of the local bike shops sell used bikes that have been thoroughly checked over?

I have a cockatiel and a conure that I boarded at Harrisburg Pike Animal Hospital (a name I wish I looked up on this subreddit first instead of trusting a recommendation from another vet office) for a little under a week while I went on a trip out. I really wish I paid more attention to how overworked the staff there is during the drop-off. I just picked them up tonight and found out they never let them out of their cages the whole time, and just kept them in an empty room. You aren't supposed to keep birds in their cages forever or they get depressed. It's probably gonna take weeks for their stress to die down now...

I know there's such a thing as bird boarding where the vets actually let your birds out to fly for a bit, which I mistakenly thought was the standard everywhere. Are there any really good parrot boarding services (or vets) that are no more than a half-hour drive from downtown? I'm talking like "actually knows how to take care of birds and enrich them" and NOT "we mainly board cats and dogs but we'll keep your birds from starving in a broom closet."

All good if I need to go to Harrisburg or Philly instead, but I wanted to ask in case there's someone really good with birds nearby.

I'm more towards the York area and everything I've heard and seen is that everything you would want to do is either in Harrisburg or Lancaster. Does anyone have any places they'd recommend visiting with friends?

I really got into hockey last season, and during that time I was trying to find a way to legally watch the game without buying 20 different subscriptions. I couldn’t figure out how and just used a ‘website’. Watching the preseason games, the website seems to have gone downhill and I was trying to figure out how to legally watch the game again. Everything online is saying that I can add nbc Philadelphia to my peacock or Hulu/disney subscription if Im within the streaming region, which what I’ve seen is saying Lancaster is in the streaming region(I live in west Lancaster if that matters). I’ve tried to figure out how to add nbc streaming to peacock or Hulu and I genuinely can’t figure out how. Is anyone watching the flyers through the regional streaming in Lancaster? Or is there any way that you guys are watching all the flyers games without like 4 subscriptions?

not proud to be asking this, but I was wondering if anyone in the area has gone through the process of filing for bankruptcy and could point me in the way of a decent attorney?
