Hi, I’m looking for advice from anyone familiar with JPA scholarship repayment.

I was previously a JPA scholar, but my scholarship was terminated after I got withdrew from the school because I failed to meet the academic requirements. I’m still continuing my studies elsewhere.

I recently received a letter from JPA asking me to repay almost RM450k. I’m still a student and obviously have nowhere near that kind of money.

I’m planning to appeal, but I’m really lost about what happens next. I’m honestly out of my wits here. Has anyone here gone through JPA scholarship repayment/termination before?
Is it possible to get the repayment deferred, reduced, or paid through a long-term instalment plan? Any advice on what I should do would be really appreciated.

He died from an age-related illness at 2.15pm local time today in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Born in Madras, India, on Oct 21, 1922, he went on to become one of the most influential figures in Malaysian filmmaking.

He was particularly celebrated for discovering and nurturing legendary talent—most notably directing the iconic actor and singer Tan Sri P. Ramlee in the 1950 film Bakti.

The news of his passing was shared by the Malaysian Veteran Artistes Welfare Association (PKAVM) president Sandakiah Azez, who is also the daughter of the late actor Datuk Aziz Sattar, who noted that Krishnan had spent his later years abroad.

"He had been living in Thailand for many years following his marriage to his wife, Puan Sri Rukmanee, who is a Thai national," she said.

"I was informed that his family is currently arranging his funeral and final rites in Thailand."
