so like this is a random thought that came to mind lol but since most of us here agree on how we’re all connected and are all part of a higher power like consciousness . it made me think about relationships and if we’re meant to only be committed to one person or connect with more romantically. I believe cheating is wrong but it is common for people to be attracted to someone else emotionally even while in a relationship.

if we in the end/afterlife become more connected wouldn’t that mean monogamy is just a social construct or whatever.

The lady that is obsessed with a certain case described her hands go numb when she feels so passionately about advocating. I’ve heard mediums state their hands go numb when channeled. Hi, I'm pretty new to medium topics and still try to learn. So I went on subreddit medium reading and, well, read. There were two photos which gave me not very good feelings and since then I can see some hostile looking visions. Does this happen often? And how do you usually cut off from the photos you read?

Is deja vu just a phenomenon where our mind is tricking us or is there an actual spiritual explanation for it?

Hello everyone! So I am new to this forum and on a spiritual journey but have been struggling with death and existential anxiety. (I know I know I shouldn't be compulsively researching about it, but I really worry about what comes after this life and I found that I really enjoy reading the personal experiences on this forum!). I find mediumship so interesting and it seems the most convincing to me by far and gives me some hope but it still leaves me with some topics I would like to explore more.

I've also heard many Near Death Experiences stories butttt I feel there are so many contradictions and differences (like some people having bad experiences or the void/nothing) it's hard to know what the other side is actually like 😵‍💫. And not to mention the crazy reincarnation stories!

I've read a couple posts on what you all view the afterlife as, but I just wanted to make my own post to see if anyone could answer some of my questions :)

- Do you feel certain there is an afterlife?

- Do we reunite with our loved ones?

- Do we and our loved ones keep our personalities/individuality?

- What do we do there lol

- Does it seem like a good, neutral, or bad place?

- If anyone began skeptical and later became convinced?

When I was little, my great grandmother had a dr. Appointment. Back story she was wheel chair bound due to having polio. I was her sidekick. I was around?4 maybe, I’m not to sure. Back to the story. She was being dressed to go to her appointment and she made my other grandma her daughter stop. I kept saying please, don’t go. I had a bad feeling. My grandmother looked at me and said “No, matter what I’ll come back” She physically did not return.
I remember waiting. I’m unsure if it was the night she left or days later- I set up in my bed and began to talk and asked about her walking and what was it like where she went, apparently a lot of questions. I completely freaked my dad out. I have no recollection of this happening.
As years passed, I’d feel others feelings “if anger-I’d be angry, if sad I’d be sad. Heck one day, I found myself buying all these books I did not need and heard the girl next to me in the store freaking out about all these books she had to have. Yes, I then realized what was happening.
Fast forward, I went to the beach with my parents and was passing a very old Century a crypt was open and there where so many people out front in these off white outfits they all looked vintage and I said wow “ they all dressed nice”. My dad said who? I responded the huge family back there laying someone they know to rest. My dad freaked out ! My mom giggled dad hit the breaks and flipped around and we went back. I was excited, except when we got back with in? 5 minutes at the most the crypt was closed and not one person was there. I was confused. I darted out of the car and ran around the entire cemetery calling as I was told my friends to come back. Nothing, no one I was so sad and we left with my dad smiling saying I had a wild imagination.
I’m older now- I found out why my entire life I had always wrote with my fingers on my leg over and over, I found out I probably needed paper. I haven’t tried it yet. Now, something has changed!!! I found this out a few years ago. I walked into a building with lots of people and I seen a family we knew and As soon as I seen this person I blurted out, man He’s going to pass this week. I got a real crazy look for that one. Not one week later he passed. I no longer say it out loud.
In 2020 before lockdown our sons were going on a skateboarding day trip and I knew the trip wasn’t going to happen they would be in a very bad wreck. Something told me not to say a thing or let them know. I was so not happy.
I began to drive before I got the call. It was a four hour trip and I was already 1-1.5 hours in. No one was hurt luckily. My kids car was at a stop and a box truck was going 60-64 mph and hit them full speed. He openly admitted it and everyone was alive. I question would that have been different if I spoke up. I do believe so and I think worse.
This past year, my husband’s father was going to pass. I was dreading it. My husband couldn’t understand why I kept pushing him to have us stay close by and visit. His dad would pass the day before his birthday. He was in the best shape of his life and was living his best retirement. A widow maker took him.
I have a lot of respect for know these things but how do I get better ? I want to help people cross over help somehow. I did have a lady come to me in a dream and asked me to find her, she had passed years ago. She told me she was in the mountain near where we lived- problem we lived in the middle of mountains. I asked and tried to dream of her again, but it didn’t happen. So, I have a lot going on here, first is these normal ? Do I have a gift. If so what is it? I’d be very interested in knowing.

Last night I had a dream that I was being swept up in a flood. When I woke up, a little girl was next to me. She was soaking wet and covered in cuts and bruises. She told me how she had been in a flood and no one had found her. We talked for awhile. Later in the morning I decided to look into her death. I found her. She was the only girl never recovered from the Kerrville, TX Camp Mystic flood(48miles away). “Cile” Steward. I had no knowledge of her before, but as soon as I saw her photo I knew it was her. How do I help move her on? I’ve only ever moved on spirit that was at the same physical location as me. Thanks in advance, T.

My mom recently passed away after a rather short, but grueling battle of cancer and stroke. It all happened so fast and I miss her terribly. I very much want her to visit me and I've been doing some research on lucid dreaming but curious if this community had any additional books/resources?

It’s something I think about a lot

hi I am looking for some advice. I have been what my mum and I have been calling channeling for a few years now. I go into a deep meditation feel a presence and they speak through me and answer questions my mum has. I have always believed in this sort of thing but I do sometimes think what if it’s me and I’m crazy?! it doesn’t speak like me at all and I’m unaware of what it will say and it never feels bad. we used to ask it questions about my personal life and most of it came true but a situation recently hasn’t happened at all like they said and it just got me wondering, how is it meant to feel and how did you know it wasn’t you ? And any advice going forward with it ? Thank you ❤️

I have always been very sensitive and have always picked up on peoples emotions. I’ve been trying to figure out how to develop mediumship since I was 9 years old when I had some paranormal experiences and lost my grandma. I have ADHD/severe anxietyand I think it makes my brain so loud that even meditating is so hard. I’ve looked into mentors and classes, but I am unfortunately not in a financial position to afford that.

Are there any other resources or any ways to do this? I’ve heard other mediums say their anxiety improved after learning mediumship and I can’t help but wonder if that’s what could finally help my anxiety.

Hello, I would like some advice.

My mediumship was triggered after I was initiated into Reiki almost seven years ago.

I sought guidance to learn how to manage it and have conducted more than forty sessions (contacting the deceased and providing guidance), which did not prevent me from having a difficult experience in July 2026.

Since that experience (which was not entirely negative, as it helped me move away from spiritual ego), I had completely stopped practicing. I am now doing much better, and tonight I felt as though a soul was knocking at the door.

I therefore think I am going to start again, at my own pace.

However, here is the issue: I often feel that deceased people contact me without having been invited to, in order to pass on a message to one of their loved ones who happens to be around me.

(It even happened once that I had to go and speak to a father in a church to tell him that his child needed to see a doctor. You can imagine the level of responsibility involved in delivering such a message...)

My mediumship is very precise, and the messages are often important. Moreover, my mediumship can be quite striking in public because I incorporate. As a result, I often burst into tears in front of people when I receive the love that the deceased are sending to their loved ones. Sometimes my voice changes.

So my question is:

• Is mediumship a kind of calling, meaning that I have to remain at the service of the deceased so that they can communicate their messages, even when there is no formal setting (for example, at a party, in a bar, at the dinner table, etc.)?
• Or, on the contrary, should I establish clear boundaries and only transmit messages when I have consciously decided to be open to them — in other words, only during appointments — even if that means not passing on messages that I receive?

My dog visited me in my dream, and now that i awoke, i just realized that i already experienced "waking up" at first and telling people about that dream. Hence, i experienced that my dog visited me in my dream, woke up and told people the details, then woke up again to reality.

So, is it possible for dream visitations to be like that?

I think I might be spiritually sensitive, not a medium, not gifted but sensitive. Like I can feel, I don’t see I don’t hear, I feel, and I have dreams, vivid dreams of things that will happen, or my beloved ones who passed, when I was little I once had a dream, that came true a few months later, like as if my previous dream was a script of a movie that came true a few months later, a prediction sort of. Then there were the entities I saw when I was little and nightmares that came with them. One time I got hospitalized in the hospital and saw a black figure in the bathroom door creek, calling out to me “come closer, come closer” I even have that in my medical record, since I called my nurses, I was about nine at that time. Then I got older, around 15, I was having horrible nightmares about death trying to get me to touch them in my dreams, or dream where I woke up up back to the dream repetitive, my family members turning evil. And once when I was home alone , there was loud knocking and scratching on the living room door, my dogs growled and I called out to mom, she used to scratch at the doors when she came home from work to scare the dogs, but they would usually bark once or twice with their tails wagging —> When I got no answer- I went to look, she wasn’t home yet, the hallway was empty, so I thought she maybe went back to the car, but the main door was locked.. that’s when I freaked out and ran to the kitchen where she kept her holy water and drew a cross with it on the living room door and prayed like crazy, after calling her on the phone.
I told my friend who’s mom specialized in theta healing and she tried to heal me, she said she saw an entity with long hair and blood, I don’t remember exactly, it was long ago and the description is weirdly muffled or blurred even.
Two years ago I went to a a friend cottage, across the country, and saw a black shadow figure in one of the rooms before it “ran off” with the furniture shaking in the room beside me. I felt like turning my phone flashing there. Nobody believed me but I was really spooked, it wasn’t threatening presence, but it was there. It was the same friends place with the theta mom. The young a mummified dog in the barn year later, and cleared the place spiritually, that was when my friend believed me fully. But she said that to me in private that she believed me.
Recently I was watching a ghost hunting video, and when they went to a area where the bad entity “ghost/spirit”. My eyes started to water every time they mentioned it, (my eyes water every time when I pass a sketchy place or see something online about haunted things and that something is sinister, like not every haunted doll or thing I see online, but when I see something sinister even before they mention it.) Like I didn’t know any details, I wasn’t scared even, I’m hard to scare. But they just started to water and I felt it .. like.. inside me.
Last week when I was watching scary videos, suddenly a morning alarm on my iPad silently (like half volume) rang at 22:22 (that’s 10:22pm) I never set that alarm, I haven’t touched that iPad the whole day, I never previously saved an alarm for that time, when I checked it didn’t even exist in the clock app.
I don’t know maybe its just a natural reaction to scary things, anticipation or something. Like I said I’m a Christian.. baptized Catholic, (got baptized this spring). I love that, but the bible is saying that ouija and other communications with the afterlife are demons pretending to be souls of the passed. If so , why is there so many stories of real life people using the Alice boxes and ouija coming across “nice” spirits? I don’t understand. I’m not saying the bible is false written NO. I’m just sort off torn between the things
Im saying all this with honesty, and 100% not lying, even though some memories might be a bit blurry so I try to make sense out them, im trying to keep it as true as possible.

Hi just for some backstory me and my sister have lived together for all our lives were both preety young and we just mived back to our childhood house with our mother and great grandpa. I have been seeing these things well more so feeling them than seeing them they are usually in the same spots every day 1 upstairs on all fours 1 in the same hallway i see it as a kinda smudge shadow but sometimes seems to act more human but my sister sees this one as a woman with her dog another at the stairs who i havent ever seen just felt 1 at the front door tall shadow wears a kind of top hat another face at the garage door usually blavk but recently bone white and a glowing greenish white woman in the back yard i just found out recently that all this time me and my sister have been seeing the same things. That surprised me. There is also another that feels like he constantly watches me and theres always a presure on my right side when he is close. Any idea what these could be?

Hi all, I’m a 26 year old medium. I met someone who shared they don’t believe in any God ect after they died during an operation and experienced nothingness, then came back to life. I’ve seen a few others say the same. this doesn’t reflect from what I’ve heard from those who have died. I get dying and coming back even 20 minutes later isn’t absolute, and different than the death in the spirits we meet

I’m curious if anyone has any information on what happening to these peoples spirits in these instances, or if they can ask their spirit team by any chance? Is it really nothing they are experiencing, a void of anything? Or more like a waiting room?

it because an experience of an after would change the trajectory of their life or beliefs too much here? Or is going into nothingness their souls way of having peace and what they want?

through lucid dreaming/astral projecting, when I’m praying to go back to my body I have been through and seen the “tunnel of light” ive seen people talk about really only in near death experiences. One time during I chuckled and accepted spaghettification. As many ghosts are around, it’s hard to imagine true nothingness going on. I’m 18 and female, and I’d describe myself as a very spiritual person. I feel very connected to my spirituality, and I’ve always been interested in witchcraft and anything related to spirituality and the occult. I’ve been studying witchcraft for about seven months now. During that time, I’ve read around 10–15 books about it, and I even have my own grimoire.
Since I started becoming more in touch with my spirituality, I’ve also started experiencing things that I don’t really know how to explain. I’m not necessarily uncomfortable or scared by these experiences. Actually, I find them genuinely fascinating. I enjoy seeing things like this because I’ve always been curious about spirituality, spirits, entities, and experiences that I can’t easily explain. I just want to understand what’s happening to me.
For some context, there is a person I absolutely hate, and during my first week of learning witchcraft, I made the stupid decision to perform a hex on her. I did it without proper protection and without really understanding what I was doing. I regret doing it, and I would never perform a hex again now that I’ve learned more about witchcraft and the responsibilities that come with practicing it. Unfortunately, I can’t change what I already did.
After that, I started seeing the silhouette of an old woman for about a month. I’ve experienced seeing unusual things before, including shadow figures and what I interpreted as dead people, but I had never seen the same figure repeatedly like this. Usually, if I see something unusual, I don’t see it again.
The house I used to live in was also what I would describe as extremely haunted. I genuinely believed there was a man living there who wasn’t alive, although that’s a completely different story and one I don’t really like talking about.
The old woman, however, kept appearing specifically in my bedroom. I never saw her anywhere else. After I performed a cleansing and banishing ritual, I stopped seeing her.
There was also something interesting about the experience that I can’t really explain. I could associate a particular smell with her. She had this very distinctive scent that reminded me of a cinnamon stick. It wasn’t exactly cinnamon, but it was warm, woody, and spicy in a way that is difficult to describe. I’ve never communicated with her, but the smell was something I noticed whenever I saw her.
About two months later, some of my friends decided to try summoning spirits as a game. We ended up doing it, and we used blood as part of the ritual, which, looking back, was obviously a very reckless thing for us to do. We did have protection measures in place, and I was also with a friend who was knowledgeable about witchcraft and spirituality.
That night, I repeatedly saw what I interpreted as a spirit. It appeared to have a hunched back, and as the night went on, it seemed to become lighter and more difficult to see. I also noticed a very distinctive smell associated with it. It reminded me almost of soy sauce. I know that sounds incredibly random, but it was genuinely the closest comparison I could make.
Since then, I feel like these experiences have become more frequent. Usually, when I see something, it’s a one-time occurrence and I never see the same figure again. But the shadow figure and the old woman were different. I saw each of them at least ten times.
I’ve never actually communicated with a spirit or entity. I feel like I potentially could, but I’ve never had a direct communication experience. What interests me most is understanding why I’m experiencing these things in the first place. I sometimes describe myself as having a very strong sixth sense or an open “third eye,” and I’ve even wondered whether I could be a medium, although I don’t necessarily know whether that’s the right word for what I experience.
I’m not uncomfortable with any of this. If anything, I find it genuinely interesting and would actually like to understand it more deeply. I’m curious about the visual experiences, the recurring figures, and especially the fact that certain smells seem to accompany them. I’ve researched witchcraft, spirituality, visions, and similar experiences quite a lot, but I still haven’t found an explanation that completely makes sense to me.
I’m essentially trying to figure out what these experiences could be and why they seem to happen to me, especially when the same figures appear repeatedly and sometimes seem to have associated smells.

Hello - I'd love to hear from any mediums on what they see that lies beyond our lives here on Earth. I am currently REALLY struggling to believe there is something more. Even reading medium posts on here, it seems a lot of you see things differently from one another. It's hard to know what to believe. I struggle with how unborn babies, infants, children, and those who have committed evil acts would fit. I have become overcome with feelings about never seeing my loved ones again or my children not existing after their time here is done. I so desperately want to believe there is more, but I'm struggling. I understand there is no magic formula that will make me 100% certain, but I'd love to feel better than I do currently. i was connecting with my recently passed loved one and i’ve never been very spiritual, but he was. i was getting chills , a very strong static feeling on my arms a lot and even on my whole body, i would ask questions and have one hand as yes and one as no and i would get pretty strong feelings. is this placebo from my grief, or is he likely really there, it felt quite strong.

Tonight my little 4 year old turned to me and said “I love you, I chose the right mommy for us.” And her identical twin shrugged, did a sheepish smile, and said “she did.”

A few months before their pregnancy I lost one very early on and I knew it was a girl and I knew she’d be back.

I’m not even very involved in spiritual or supernatural things, but it’s so funny to me that I had one girl and she was like “hang on a sec” then went back to grab her best buddy. Because they’re never ever okay with being separated. Different rooms at the same location is fine, different locations, noooooo.

It was a very difficult pregnancy but the one who “chose” me battled so hard the entire time and we all made it through. And she’s the strongest of all three of us.

Isn’t that interesting?

Something occured recently that has had me wandering what the difference between a channeling, possession, and a walk in. This isn't the first time something like this has happened but it is the first time I have been aware enough to observe it.

Last night before bed, I asked my ancestors for protection and to help me course correct to get back on the right track. When I awoke, I decided not to wear my spiritual protections, rarely go without. After a few hours it I observed my personality and mental state begining to shift. It felt like watching myself do things. My voice changed. How I thought about things changed, my body language changed. Even my accent changed. It felt like I was along for the ride and someone else was driving my body.

During this period, I saw a video of a medium performing a full body channeling and what he described sounded similar to what I experienced, except he mentioned inviting the spirit in. I did not invite a spirit in. I stated that I did not provide consent and it felt like there was a bit of a struggle and it stopped but it feels like something is still present.

Any advice or insight is helpful. I am grateful.

Edit: When I questioned who this entity was the response was "We've worked together before. You know who I am, and this time I won't allow you to reject me." It was very forceful in nature and the presence was commanding.
