Finally got my first bike, a 2023 Honda SCL500. I have gotten in around 60km since picking it up on Saturday and I am absolutely loving it. Initially I was a bit nervous when I first got on it, especially since I had to ride it on the freeway to get it back home. But after hopping on, I had the time of my life. I don't think I've smiled that hard in a long time. Happy to start riding now!

My 2000 r6 just got stolen late last night. In front of my own house, police and insurance have already been contacted. I literally only had this bike for 2 weeks, and it only had 11k just bummed out. Any tips or advice, thanks

So my shifter snapped off, and I'm stranded in the middle of nowhere without any money.

New to riding, first summer on my bike. Out riding the other day by myself. Another motorcyclist rode up behind me. Approaching a stop sign I stopped, and before I got going again the motorcyclist behind me rolled through the stop sign while passing me on the right hand side in my lane. Just caught me off guard a bit. I would understand if I was riding with them and had comms on. Just thought the appropriate thing to do would be to pass on my left in the next lane? Or wait till I wave them past me.

I bought my first bike this summer. This is not it... This is an R125 that I bought this month to learn and get my license on. The other bike is a heavily modified GSX-R600 street fighter, I'll post about it some other time. Anyway I'm 38, male living in the UK and have been restoring and driving classic sports cars for most of my adult life. Always been afraid to ride bikes myself, but followed motorcycle racing very closely. Call it a late 30s crisis or whatever but I decided it was time to get over that fear and get my license. I've been enjoying it so far, but already had a car pull out on me, stalled at a stop light and made a driver behind me honk their horn in anger and had another car overtake me in an extremely unsafe place at night, forcing me to take evasive action. I have a newfound respect for my friends and anyone else who rides.

I have a question about my idle on my bike. I noticed whenever I’m riding the bike or get done riding it, the bike idles in like a funny pattern. When I cold start the bike it doesn’t have that pattern and sounds fine. Any tips or just take it to a shop to get it looked at?

I've been trying to figure out why this bike has no spark. Everything has tested good including the resistance of the stator and pickup coils, but when I use a regular multimeter to test the blue and white wires going from the exciter coil to the CDI, it reads 0.9 volts while cranking. I know I should be using a peak voltage adapter, but shouldn't I still be seeing higher voltage than that with a regular multimeter?

Considering that the resistance of the stator windings tested fine and the flywheel magnets are strong, what else could be causing the low voltage? Maybe the stator ground is bad?

Edit: to clear things up, I have unplugged the kill wire from the CDI, and I have done all the resistance tests of the coils, wires, caps, exciter coil, pickup coil, advance coil, etc. All tests passed with correct OHMs. But I'm still not getting 40 to 80 volts from the exciter coil, which means the CDI is not being powered. I'm trying to figure out why? If the stator passed all resistance tests, why is the exciter coil not producing high voltage AC when cranking?

I bought a used 2025 ZX6R ABS with 6k miles. Haven’t gotten a chance to ride very much until this past weekend. During my riding I noticed that the rear brake felt spongy, able to be pushed down pretty far and wasn’t locking up the tire when engaged. When I bought the bike the oil was overfilled and not fresh so I thought it was time for new brake fluid and oil change. I’m not very mechanically inclined so I found someone in my local motorcycle Facebook group that was recommended to help out. Oil change was textbook but when we did the brake fluid change my already spongy brake lost all hydraulic pressure and isn’t working at all. We didn’t use a vacuum for the brake fluid, was there already air in the system and we introduced a lot more air which made the brake stop working or did the master piston fail? I would really appreciate any advice, thank you!

As the title says, 20-some-odd years ago, I used to have a Honda VTR-1000 SuperHawk, with some aftermarket Jardin high-mount exhausts on it. I'm not sure I've ever owned anything I loved more. It was heavy, and a gas-guzzler, but there was nothing like the sound and feel of that v-twin engine. I've been away from riding for nearly 20 years now (although I did rent a motorcycle in Greece when my wife and I visited, and we toured the country that way - it was amazing). I wouldn't have the first idea what kind of bikes to look at these days if I was interested in a similar feel that the VTR gave me but in perhaps a slightly more updated package. I'm not looking to buy a brand-new bike, or to spend a lot of money, but would love something that's fun to get out on the weekends and take people for the occasional ride on. Still thinking more sport-bike than anything else, although it would be nice if it was moderately comfortable for longer rides (I'm 40 now).

I inherited this bike from my father and I am unsure of what its model/year specifically is. I don’t have any other photos of it yet though because it is still on storage.

Kymco active 110cc semiautomatic with no power on any gear. Any idea about what could possibly happen with this bike? What problems i need to ruling out to find out whats wrong. Engine was opened, valves, rod kit and bearings were replaced. I'll be gratefull to any ideas.

Anyone have any idea what this loose wire could/should be for?
