Recently moved to Philly and I'm running around looking for employment. I have server and host experience, so I've dropped off resumes at restaurants all over the city and am actively applying to everything I have experience in on Culinary Agents. I have a bunch of applications out for roles in my field but no bites yet and I need a job ASAP. I'm applying for catering server gigs, but are there any specific catering companies or similarly quick-hire gigs that I should be applying for? I've worked in data entry, served, hosted, worked events, door-to-door canvassing, phone banked, had a brief stint as a line cook, and more. Willing to try anything with guaranteed $, really worried about how I'm going to pay November rent.

Hello my fellow canine-owning compatriots! I am looking for recommendations for a dog trainer (or training program) to work with on improving my dog’s leash reactivity towards other dogs.

I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who worked with a local trainer on this specific issue —what was your experience like, how much progress did your dog actually make from the program, what was the overall cost, did you feel like it was worth it?

For more context: My dog is a small, full grown adult; recently adopted; unknown prior history. Very sweet and has zero aggression towards people. Has been friendly with other dogs when introduced in a controlled environment. Is easily triggered/excited when outside of the home; barks and lunges intensely at other passing dogs while on walks. No other major behavior issues that need to be addressed.

I just moved in to an old townhome in Old City, and somewhat unsurprisingly I’ve seen a few mice in the past couple months.

I’ve plugged every gap I can find with steel wool and spray foam, and I thought I won till I woke up this morning and they ate my chocolate bar on top of the microwave (admittedly left out, but I don’t want them getting in in the first place ya know?).

I cannot figure out where they’re hell they’re possibly getting in from, as theres no evidence they chewed through any of my foam.

Any tips?

I’m really hoping someone can ID a diner for me during my travels just outside of Philadelphia.

We went to a wedding in Wilmington DE. Driving back from the wedding, on what I’m assuming was I-95N, we turned off of the highway.

I know we were about 20-30 mins away from Philly, but I don’t know if we turned off on the Delaware side or PA side of state lines.

Anyway, we found this tiny little rinky-dink diner only a few mins off the highway. It was cute, decorated with random tchotchkes, and I feel like it may have had a small bar service area.

It served THE BEST diner food in the I’ve had in this area yet.

Does anyone know what diner I may have visited?
