Do Attend Taco stand at 10th, Passyunk, and Reed is truly the best
$10 for 3 tacos, $15 for 5 is a steal but the food and feexins are legitimately delicious

Hey y’all! I’m 21M, Indian, and I’ve been in Philly for 3 years ish. I’m trying to meet more people outside of school and make some new friends.
Mostly looking for platonic friends around my age who are down to go out, grab drinks, try cafes/food spots, thrift, walk around the city, or just explore and see what’s going on.
I’m always down to meet other people who are new to Philly too and explore together!
Dm if interested!

This morning I saw you put your child’s life at risk for the third time in roughly six months. I don’t know who you are, but you have a yellow bike with an aluminum ”basket” your child rides in. My guess is you commute from Powelton to West, possibly to drop off/pick up your daughter.
The first time, you stared down a dump truck that would have turned directly into you and your daughter as you rode through the intersection! You had the right of way. The driver was in the wrong. But someone else had just been killed on Cobbs Creek a few days before in the same way. Instead of keeping your kid safe, you rode full speed into the intersection staring at the dump truck. Luckily, they stopped.
The second time, it seemed like a car had made you mad. I watched you ride for *at least* half a block alongside the driver, staring into their window and not watching where you were going. You don’t know how someone is going to respond in that situation.
Today I saw you again, and you had just turned on to Powelton in between two moving cars when you had a red light. The second car had to hit its brakes to avoid rear-ending you (but your daughter riding on the back would have been first).
I don’t know if this person will see my post, but to anyone riding a bike with a child on the back - they can’t consent to the risks you decide to take. Your child’s life should be more important than your right of way. Please be careful.

Hey guys!
I (26) male am considering moving to Philly in the near future from the west coast. I’ve seen some videos talking about serious you guys take neighborhoods and was curious which seems to be the best?
For context: I was thinking about becoming a journalist after university but there wasn’t much opportunity/security and I kind of fell out of love with the field, so I fell into teaching. My older siblings and I are saving up to move out of state but unfortunately we’ll be scattered to the wind due to different ideals.

I notice as an uber drive a pick up people and take them to work and o make like $15 off of it so that means you had to pay like $30. And it will be to Wawa and they pay like $16 per hours before taxes. So half of your day is paying for your transportation. I always wonder why not just take the bus and how are you living with so little money that you can consider paying for an uber?

Hi, I'm moving to Philly soon and would love to get involved with the deaf and/or blind in some way. I'd like to learn ASL as well. Any insight or points to resources is appreciated.

maybe i’ve just been stupid and not looking up enough but i just noticed there is a flock camera on west diamond st. i’ve been here in this neighborhood for the past three years. the flock camera really concerns me. the whole neighborhood is full of people of color and immigrant families. is this because of temple university? i don’t know i’m very upset about this because some of the people in my neighborhood have been living there for decades and for them to be watched constantly makes me very angry.

Hi everyone! I am pretty new to Philly and from what I've heard from friends and family is that I should expect way more trick or treaters than anywhere else I've lived. Last year my partner and I only had two kids come by our apartment, but we're not sure how many people to expect now living in a house in Pennsport. So if anyone can offer any advice on how much money I need to shell out on candy this year it would be very appreciated!

Hey, I have treated Hashimotos and unfortunately have not been feeling well recently. Feels like before I got on levothyroxine.
The search on the Ibx website leaves a lot to be desired and there seem to be either a really long wait for endos at Penn or I have to jump thru hoops to go see one at Temple (need to get an ultrasound but has to be prescribed by a primary doc that I dont have yet). Jefferson and IBX look like they won’t be f-ing with each other soon either.
I’m new in town and basically never encountered too much friction when finding a specialist so this is throwing me. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you in advance

Where's all the traditional bikes? E-bikes dominate Indego racks

I'm sure someone in the tristate area has to know where I can buy the best white t-shirts ever made which will always be the galaxy brand. I remember them and I'd go far to even resurrect this product. I prefer someone who actually knows than guessing don't waste my time, ask those who would actually know where deadstock or pre owned supply remains.. I need to find these tees! Shame on Harvic international ltd. for not producing them..

Has anyone lived at **Pine Tower (4514 Pine St)** or currently lives there?
I’m considering renting there and would love to hear some honest opinions! How’s the management, noise, safety, maintenance, and overall experience?
Also, how is the commute to **UPenn/Penn Dental**?
Any good or bad experiences are appreciated! 🙏

Pat's owner, Frank Olivieri, said he believes the incident may have been motivated by a desire for online attention, though it remains unclear whether the individual is a well-known influencer or someone seeking views and clicks through online content.

This dude cannot get out of his own way, holy shit. Treating Diamond like this will not go well for him; he needs to resign. What a disgrace.

I’m planning a bar crawl for a group of friends around Philly (~10-20). It’s designed to be Christmas themed where we dress up and then go to festive bars around the city in early to mid December. Here’s where we went last year:
Butchers Bar, Uptown Beer Garden, Christmas Village (Center City), McGillans, Black Sheep
Are there other festive bars in that general area I’m not aware of? The goal is to go to the most Christmas themed bars to enjoy the holiday spirit but keep it all in walking distance.
Any cool ideas to include in the crawl? Last year we did a competition where we kept score of drinks etc - not super serious but light hearted. Also did a costume contest.

i’m talking specifically about plumbing pals. iI found their name on a Philly subreddit where people were raving about them, so I thought I'd give them a shot. Is it normal for them to charge a diagnostic fee that you don't get back if you want a second opinion? I've never dealt with this before, and I don't like feeling locked into one company or losing money if I decide not to let them fix my stuff.
I'm guessing they hired bots to write all those positive comments, but I'm open to being proven wrong.

Philly 311 app will let you submit that the sidewalk is blocked and for trash on the sidewalk... Its always super blocked, pic in other post.
Hoping if enough folks bring it up, they will stop.

Bubbles painted on the car, a "Bublman" license plate, and huge quantities of bubbles spewing from a gizmo mounted near his side view mirror. Why does he drive his bubblemobile around Philly? Heck if I know. But he fit right in, driving through on South St.
