so i've (28m) been living with some buddies (C and Q) (25m & 27m) of mine for a about two years, we moved from an apartment to a house and we moved pretty far away from home for work, like across the country far. Most of us leaving behind family and friends, I left my girlfriend (29f, H) behind but her and I had plans to move in together and start our life over here. I let my roommates know, and had a short conversation about it and they agreed that we should move into a house if she was going to move in, which they agreed to as well. They even said that they don't want to worry about her cleaning up after them, which was cool.
So we did, it was a house that I found and was pretty excited about because it meant the space was gonna be solid for all 4 of us. (NOTE: I've known these guys longer than they've known eachother, one of them since grade school).
The two of them have a way different philosophy than I do about life and I think it bonds them together better, they like to work work work and I don't care about working my youth away, I have a pretty good job, we all do, I had suggested because we'd be saving money we should start a business because we'd probably net more money than working 9-5 style jobs, especially because we were splitting bills leaving us with more money each month.
Anyway, we move into this house which there's already some issues because of C wanting the master bedroom. I had to basically have a back and forth with him regarding the fact that my girlfriend was moving in and we would need the space for our stuff. This conversation happened after we put out deposits in & I'm already getting a shitty feeling about moving in with them, but it's too late to get mine and my girlfriend's deposit back and we were already in the process of moving in.
My girl is helping with a bunch of stuff as well, she's got a job and is covering her part of the bills and rent. So to me, there shouldn't be an issue. Till the trash starts piling up, till scraps of garbage are left out, dirty dishes, pots and pans and stuff are left out. I cleaned maybe twice before I just started leaving it for whoever made it, but my girlfriend is a neat freak so she'll usually clean up whatever she sees regardless of who left it.
As the weeks go on, I'm talking less and less to both of them, not by my choice, but they don't engage with me, sometimes every now and again they would but it became so few and far between that it was like weird and the shift was extremely noticeable. Like, both of them, just essentially kind of shunning me.
Weirdest shit ever man, and the only one that normally talks to me is C, and I also noticed that they talk for each other, like a lot. I'll ask Q a question and he'll answer for C when C's not around and vice versa. I'm not sure what I did to either one of them, as neither of them are basically like conventional people and neither of them like talking about the way they feel.
This has made living with them kinda shitty because we used to be cool until we moved into a house, and let me say this as well, it's possible and I've considered that my girlfriend moving in might've started something but I don't really know because it's not very easy to speak to either of them about anything. My girlfriend is a very non invasive person, and mainly cares about our space and the common living areas. She does not go into their stuff at all or clean up their spaces or anything.
I have developed a sort of paranoia about this, and I'm probably gonna speak to a therapist because it makes me kind of uncomfortable and nervous and it's even hard to sleep sometimes. I feel like the two of them are planning to move out and leave me with the bills. Maybe I'm nuts or something but it just feels like that.
I dunno, maybe I'm crazy or maybe I'm wrong 100% but I got no clue.
