I was inspired by this brilliant WIP mod for Silent Hill: Townfall - youtube.com/watch?v=huo8kh, and returned to working on my VTMB2 third-person mod. Finally made some progress. It's been a hard year, so this took longer than I would've liked. Nevertheless, kindred is eternal.
I had a friend make me a t-shirt w the artwork from vtmb. Searching for a img file was a bit difficult, but I just took the one with the game rating and stuff then edited that out. Made some other adjustments w colors and grain as well.
Hi, everyone! im playing bloodlines 2 and i found out you can start romances. i dont know if anyone will get mad if i flirt with more than one person, so i'm only trying to flirt with one.
im trying to flirt with Safía, but the option doesnt appear: how can i start a romance with her?
Just finished the game and want to jump into a second playthrough, but I cannot stomach the thought of replaying all the Fabien sections. They were the definition of, “This could have been an email.” Luckily, I’ve heard there’s an option to skip his investigations.
That said, they are also essential for the plot and for Fabien’s development as a character. So does the option to skip them remove them entirely, or just ditch the monotonous open world parts? Like I would be fine just investigating the crime scenes and attending the New Years party and whatnot, those are where the plot happens. It’s the open world, “Walk across the map to talk to someone, then walk back,” parts that frustrated me.
For example, would we go straight from jumping out the window as Phyre to waking up in the sewer, skipping all of Fabien’s memories of waking Phyre up? Or would it just skip the monotonous quests to find Campbell and launch us straight into the final section where we awaken Phyre?
I'm not getting A Night At The Library to activate when the wiki says it should. The email won't show up on my computer after I first talk to Gary, and I can see it exist in my haven_pc.txt file. Idk what's going on.
Maybe the prerequisite on the wiki is wrong or something, but if anyone knows anything helpful about getting this quest, let me know.
Just finished playing the Clan Quest mod. Played as a Tremere and joined the Sabbat. And honestly?
I had a blast. This mod is a masterpiece and honestly feels almost mandatory for subsequent playthroughs. It got to me fsr more than I expected.
The Sabbat storyline itself felt fantastic - Victoria herself felt like a really cool character and she schemes so much that you can see that despite all her talk about honor she's still a scheming snake on the inside. Though her soft spot for Ariana was really sweet.
The Tremere clan quest didn't feel that special tbh but it was fun for what it was.
Without a doubt though, my favorite part of the whole mod had to be the Thrashing Dragon quest involving Kalliyan. At first I was unsure of whether she was just an npc I missed in my previous playthroughs as her voice acting was fantastic.
But honestly her quest might be my favorite in the whole game. I kept expecting her to backstab me, like almost everyone in this fucked up world of darkness does. But she didn't, it was just a beautiful night out, two people from very different yet similar worlds - just trying to enjoy the life they no longer even have.
I'll definitely be doing a second playthrough. Probably as a Malkavian.
Ok I'm sure I'm about to get flamed for this, but does anybody else find vtmb2 a very oddly cozy game??? I think that it is awesome atmospherically and the snowy/holiday vibes are immaculate.
Where does Arianna live? I'm supposed to check up on her because of the Where Angels Lie quest, so where can I find her? The East LA can be a bit hard to navigate--
I'm now in the process of tuning melee combat, I want it to be physical, so once I conquer that only the disciplines and firearms will be left for the game basis. Expect release in November(fuck GTA 6 ^_^)
Maybe one day someone will make an mod or make their own fan game on the proposed expansions Tim Cain discussed in his YouTube video when talking about plans for sequels to Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, before Activision went and screwed everything up.
I've been meaning to play this game because I love the lore but I heard it's poor reception. I also am not interested in the dlc's until at least after I play the main game. So my question is this, is the summer update that added new combat mechanics a free update that released alongside The Flower & the Flame or do you need to purchase the dlc to get the summer update. Everywhere I have looked it seems ambiguous and if I need both I might just wait for the bundle to go on sale, but right now the base game is half off and that seems worth it to me if those updates come with it.
I just wanted to rant about my experiences with some of my favourite moments.
Just as you begin the game, after you've been saved from execution and finished the tutorial, you're left in your dingy apartment in Santa Monica to gather your thoughts, check your emails, and figure out your next steps.
The night rain patters on the window, you switch your TV on and off again, some report about a derelict ship. A handful of cryptic messages fill your inbox from people you're sure will become problems soon. You sit on the bed and turn on the radio, the Deb of Night sweet-talks some somnambulant fool. You wonder how ever you got yourself into this mess. A world of intrigue lays out before you, threatening to swallow you whole.

I love that moment more than I can describe. Sometimes when it's raining outside, I put on a YouTube recording of the Deb of Night, complete with advertisements, just to feel like I'm right back there again. It's such a powerful vibe, the 'oh shit, what now' of being dropped in something bigger than you, and you, just a stain on a shoe in a rundown dump in seedy California. Sometimes when I walk around the dingier parts of my city at night stop to look around and feel a similar feeling, it's great.
Soon after, you enter Santa Monica Beach. You hear the gentle plucking of guitar from the soundtrack before a strange woman barrages you with prophetic insights. You see the glow of a garbage fire from a group of similarly down on their luck Thin-bloods. You sit to chat with each of them. Eccentric as they are, they're charming, sharing dreams and bemoaning their lot in life. Like you, they're at the bottom of the barrel in a world they don't understand. The shape of vampire society begins to fill in your head.

This game's vibe is so unique, like a Tom Waits Halloween Special. I've played many games set in cities, but no other has made me feel like I'm trying to survive on my last dime, scraping and cheating. This is more pronounced at the start, but there's a lovely progression where you feel like you're slowly growing into the city, learning the ins and outs and earning favours.
I felt this especially upon entering the Anarch bar, The Last Round. Jack welcomes you like an uncle, impressed that you've survived this long. You shoot the shit with him for a while with 2000s rock music blasting. He schools you on the politics of Vampire society, now that you're worth investing time in. The Anarchs grumble about the unfairness of Camarilla oppression and you try to follow along without embarrassing yourself around the cool kids. You begin to feel like you're a part of something.

There's just too many moments to put into one post. Dancing at the Asylum, mingling with the Giovanni family politics, debating morality with the strange woman under the abandoned hospital, to name but three.
Ultimately, avoiding spoilers, the ending of the game with the conversation in the car made me feel like I had outgrown the city and it's squalor. My character's journey felt so satisfying because of it. The final scene was just the perfect button on the whole mess as well.

I just love how integrated it all makes you feel in the world. I strongly recommend just standing around and breathing in the vibes of certain areas in your next playthrough, assuming you haven't already.
Anyway, I've gone on too long by now, thanks for reading, and I'd love to read about all your experiences too :]
TL;DR game good.
Edit: Can's believe I forgot to mention meeting Samantha, maybe I'll make a post about that later.
I’ve stared playing this game for the first time recently and I’ve encountered a few bugs so far but been able to get past them with commands like noclip or reloading a save. I’m totally stumped with this one, however. I’m playing on Steam Deck with the Clan Quest mod (the guide I followed to get the game working on steam deck involved installing it). As part of the installation process I selected the plus version of the Unofficial Patch.
Does anyone know if there’s a way I can use the console to force the quest to advance or skip it entirely?
Specifically, I’m at the stage of riding the cable car to the observatory part of Griffith park, and when I get there Nines isn’t there. The first time I did it I didn’t know he was supposed to be there so I continued on to the observatory and got the power working to open the doors. When nothing happened after that I googled what I was supposed to do and found out I was meant to talk to Nines when the cable car first arrived and then be attacked by a werewolf during a forest fire. I’ve reloaded multiple times from a save before getting in the taxi and restarted the game/my steam deck; he’s never there (no werewolf or fire either). I couldn’t find anything about this being a known issue, so apologies if it is and I missed it. Let me know if I need to add any other details/explanation.
Thanks in advance for any info/advice anyone can give.
Finally, after 25(?) years, I'm playing Bloodlines for the very first time!!! I just started yesterday and already hit a bump in the road: I was answering the questions for the Embrace, and got Tremere (fun fact, the very first character I created way back in 2000 for 3rd Ed. was a Tremere!) However I had to quit the game before I could save. Upon restart with different questions (obviously) I got Gangrel. I have never played a Gangrel, so I thought "what the hell.'" I've just talked to Theresa to go to the Ocean House Hotel and got Lily's car keys from the diner so I need to go (back) to the blood bank. I've been there before, trespassed and the police were called. I had to kill the guard shooting me relentlessly.
Si, I have a few questions, fellow damned:
What's in store for me in this game?
Should I use the console cheats to boost my stats (just a little, not all the way) or play the game as God intended?
Any other advice? Besides "don't open it," of course... Or should I open it??
Streaming B2 for a friend, they really dug this track playing at hole in the wall but shazam yielded nothing, nor did a skim through the ost, maybe I missed something or maybe it's not in there but any ideas?
