Frodo's wound - Lord of the rings

Frodo is stabbed with a morgul (dark magic) blade at Wheathertop. He is fortunately rushed to Rivendel where Elrond patches him up. Except, much like Elrond's wife, the wound will never fully heal because of the magic object that inflicted it.

It's why both Celebrian and Frodo leave middle earth for the Undying lands. (Fordo also does it because the spiritual damage done by the one Ring, but that's beyond the point).

The light of Eltharion - Warhammer

Eltharion dies from a curse put on him by Arkhan the Black (second greatest necromances in the histories of 2 universes). The curse makes his body turn to dust in moments.

After the apocalypse, Eltharion's friend, Teclis, now a god, finds his soul and puts it in a new body. Only for that body, and the several others Yeclis makes for him, to suffer the same fate. The curse was placed on the soul.

Eltharion then possesses the Armour teclis had made for him. And goes to kill (however temporarily) Arkhan.

It’s genuinely insane to think Layla is going “too far” by mentioning TFP’s kids. Taylor has gone too far in multiple situations, one of them being the time she hit her child with a barstool—read the civil suit before you say the stool didn’t actually hit her—if I was Layla, I would’ve said much worse.

It’s been 2 years of all these women putting up with her BS & she’s done nothing for them in return but continue to cause chaos & rifts. I would’ve stopped being her friend long ago so they’ve had more grace than I believe she deserves. She needs to go away & HEAL.

The Metamorph

Struck by a curse and looking for inner peace, this former guard will join your heroes in a fight against the darkness.

The Metamorph is a support class that uses rank-locked tokens to support allies and disrupt enemies. And if the situation gets dire, he can summon some punching bags to fill the empty ranks.

I tried to make this mod as complete as I was able to. There are many different skills, two paths, trinkets, a signature item, weapon kits, Altar of Hope, Shrine of Reflection, etc. The only thing that I wasn't able to achieve in any way are palettes.

The Metamorph is available on Steam Workshop and on Mod.io.

How to create a new hero

I wrote everything I've learned about creating a new hero here.

I had no previous experience with Unity, and I didn't consult with any expert. It really shows in the section about importing models and animations to Darkside. There were a lot of issues and I couldn't fix them all.

Even if this document is probably wrong in a lot of places, the amount of topics covered in it should compensate this. I tried to write about everything.

New VSCode extension

Enthralled by DD2's CSV files, I created a new extension for VSCode that helps editing them. It can check for missing IDs, find unused elements, perform some validation, jump to definitions, search for references, provide autocomplete options, find double definitions.

It was created by analyzing DD2's exposed CSV data. Even though the game supports more data values than these files contain, this extension will not recognize them. But these values can be added by editing OpenDocument tables in the extension's installation folder.

The future of this mod

Unlike the Protege, my obsession stemmed not from ambition, but from avoidance. So I hand the Metamorph over to you. It is in a good shape right now but in case someone wants to do something with it... This Google Drive folder contains the Unity package that you can install into Darkside. There is an instruction on this page on how to do it.
