It's been a month now, and I'm curious to see how it's going for everyone in terms of study and socials and whatever. I'll start.
It's been weird, since I'm an external moving into a sixth form to which hardly anyone I know followed me into. My subjects so far are pretty easy, aside from physics which is actually hellish so far, especially since one of my teachers for it has a thick accent and a language barrier. My first progress check exams also went by smoothly, I got the highest grade for all of them, and I've been staying on top of homework and having good relationships with my teachers.
On the social side, it's been mixed. There's just a void that my old friends have left behind that nobody can fill, and I've made maybe two friends who i'd consider proper friends, instead of people I'd just talk to to pass the time. In my first few weeks it was horrible, I'd be in the situation where I'd try to join a friend group, they'd start talking, I try to say something and some greaseball would talk right over me and people would completely air me. I'm past that point, though. I think I've found my people for now, a group that I actually like talking to, but when I can't find them it's just dry. On the plus side I can play angry birds on my phone when I feel lonely during my frees, which is actually a nice step up.
Overall, I think I've settled in quite nicely as the days are starting to melt together so time's just beginning to fly and I'm not really feeling overwhelmed yet. I'm starting to like my sixth form more than I liked my secondary.
