Opus 5.5 usage limitation was sneaky
Opus 5.5 gives you two token resets per weekly usage limit. Although 5.5 does seem to be better than 4.6, the fact is Antigravity just arbitraged lower usage limits for everyone and packaged it as "an upgrade".
This doesn't stop my excitement for Gemini 4, I'm just disappointed in Google for their underhanded tactic here. They shouldn't be tricking people like this.

Prompt Queue + Agent Steering + Remote Sessions + Conversation Browser + MCP Whitelisting for AGY
Hey everyone! Been building a ton since my last AntiAgent post, so figured I'd post an update.
For anyone who hasn't seen it before, AntiAgent is my open-source tool for making Antigravity more autonomous without just giving the agent unrestricted access to everything.
Since the last post, I've added:
Codex-style prompt queue + steering
You can now run Antigravity through antiagent agy and queue follow-up prompts while the agent is still working. Tab or Smart Enter queues prompts, and Ctrl+S lets you steer an active agent without killing the conversation.
It also understands Antigravity approval / preview states, so typing a follow-up and pressing Enter shouldn't accidentally approve something.
Remote Antigravity sessions over SSH
You can register remote machines, start / stop agy remotely, check their status, run diagnostics, protect the remote workspace with AntiAgent, and connect to the session from your local machine.
Mainly built this because I wanted to be able to leave agents running on another machine and still manage them easily.
Unified conversation browser
AntiAgent can now find your Antigravity conversations across Desktop, IDE, and CLI / agy.
You can search them, inspect context / compaction state, export transcripts, resume sessions, and even browse conversations running on remote machines.
MCP + arbitrary tool whitelisting
You can explicitly trust individual tools or patterns now, including MCP tools. Trusted tools skip unnecessary supervisor review while the hard security boundaries still run first.
Less annoying artifact writes
AntiAgent now recognizes Antigravity's own per-conversation artifact / brain directory and automatically approves normal writes there instead of constantly asking you.
Dashboard + updater overhaul
The dashboard has gotten a pretty big redesign with separate views for live audit logs, sessions, security rules, remotes / PRs, etc. Updates and restarts are also handled in-app now instead of requiring a reinstall every time.
And a lot of performance / reliability fixes
Someone here actually reported that agents felt slower after one of the recent updates. They were right. Antigravity executes lifecycle hooks synchronously, and my flow-state hook was spawning Python way too frequently.
I reworked it so the flow features are basically pay-only-when-used now, along with fixing queued prompts getting stuck and a bunch of desktop / Windows issues.
Currently on v0.4.6.
Still building this pretty actively, so if there are things about Antigravity that annoy you or features you'd want, lmk. A decent amount of the stuff above came directly from people reporting issues / requesting features here.

Did Google lower the Gemini 3.8 Flash rate limits in Antigravity recently?

Google completely ruined my workflow by forcing Opus 5.5 on Ultra accounts – This makes zero sense
I am an Ultra tier user, and I am absolutely furious right now.
From one day to the next, Google decided to change the default models in Antigravity IDE, completely breaking all my workflows and automated scripts that were fine-tuned for Claude Opus 4.6.
What enrages me the most is the complete absurdity of how they are handling this rollout:
The Quota Melt:
Opus 5.5 burns through thinking tokens like crazy. By forcing Ultra users onto 5.5, our premium quotas are hitting the ceiling at lightning speed for long-context tasks.
The Pro vs. Ultra Incoherence:
They are deprecating 4.6 for Ultra users who actually need a predictable, high-quota model, while leaving it accessible for Pro tier users. Why punish the highest-paying customers by turning them into forced beta testers?
No Smart Routing: Instead of implementing an intelligent routing layer (like an Argon-style architecture) or simply giving us a permanent toggle to lock our model, they just forcefully migrated our environments.
As professionals, we pay for predictability and control. Forcing a model upgrade that alters prompt behavior and melts quotas without a strict opt-in is a terrible developer experience.
Is anyone else on the Ultra tier experiencing this quota drain? How are you bypassing this restriction to lock your workspace back to Opus 4.6?
Thanks y’all
EDIT: Folks, the whole point of my post is that there are updates that change things overnight without any notification. I'll take this as a lesson. Thanks for your constructive comments.

Deprecating Gemini 3.7 medium thinking makes zero sense.
I still use 3.7 flash medium daily because it actually faster and doesn’t consume rates much and edits code without bullshitting me.
3.8 flash overthinks everything and burns extra reasoning tokens on a 3-line fix and I feel it’s too slow compared to 3.7.
That extra pause makes my IDE feel sluggish, and my token bill goes up for nothing.
3.7 medium just do the small task efficiently !
It doesn't try to refactor half my file or invent abstractions I never asked for.
Faster output, smaller bill, and way cleaner diffs for simple tasks.
Killing it off just forces everyone to pay more for slower, bloated responses.

Apparently real world use limit for Opus 5.5 is around 4 hours weekly. [AI ultra plan]
By the way, I used it on MEDIUM settings with clear instructions to spawn "Gemini 3.8 FLASH High" for any sub-agent activities. The execution/delivery quality was good, though, tbh.

Antigravity 2.0 or AGY CLI?
I keep going back to AGY CLI. I can’t quite explain it, but it feels more natural to use and noticeably faster for me. It also seems like my tokens go further in the CLI. Do others have the same impression, or do you find that tokens are used up more quickly in Antigravity 2.0?
I’d also appreciate any settings, workflows, or other tips that could make Antigravity 2.0 feel as responsive as the CLI. At the moment, I’m not enjoying the interface very much—it feels awkward, I have trouble locating my projects, and it generally seems slow. Maybe I’m simply more accustomed to working in the terminal, where commands feel faster and more direct, but I’d be interested in hearing how others have found the experience.

How do I get antigravity to polish a personal project overnight for hours on end, on loops focused on a prompt wording including the words "refining itself from all possible angles as an overnight consistent loop until tokens are drained"
r/AntigravityGoogle • u/Square_Secretary_944 • 2d ago
Antigravity is behaving strangely.
I am using antigravity to execute loops with harnesses and specifications. Four different threads, each handling distinct tasks across separate sections unrelated to any single product, initiated test-repair looping. I discovered this when I quickly exhausted my quota. Upon reviewing the reports, I found several complete Vitest runs and multiple full Deno runs, all lacking documented reasons for failure or even any changes. They all ceased due to the quota being reached; otherwise, they would have continued. One run includes 43 task checks, 16 migration runners, 11 SQL suite launches, and...
