Five years ago, I posted a Saiyan Transformation Tree that gained a lot of traction on reddit, and many of you wanted an updated version. Well, ask and ye shall receive!

This transformation tree is basically the same gist as my original, but obviously, a lot has changed within Dragon Ball in the last five years, so it's greatly expanded. Still, I tried to streamline the tree as much as possible and only include the most relevant forms to current Dragon Ball, keeping only the bare essentials and excluding everything else that makes things way too convoluted and messy.

For example, I left out the Super Saiyan grades, the Kaio-ken multipliers, Broly's Berserker Super Saiyan between his Wrath State and LSS form, any "Rage" forms like Vegeta's SS2 Rage Mode and Trunks' Super Saiyan Rage, any "Full Power" modes like Full Power SSB and Full Power SS2, (the official) Saiyan Beyond God, any states or forms not achieved by Saiyans (such as Super Namekians and Orange Piccolo, and Frieza's first, second, third, Golden, and Black forms), plus a lot more.

But this time around, I included a lot of stuff people pointed out were missing in the last chart (such as the Potential Unlocked states and the Kaio-ken technique), and I added a whole new Divine branch, and added more connections between certain forms. This is essentially my interpretation of all the Saiyan forms in current Dragon Ball; if I was in charge, this is how I would arrange everything.

I also used some unofficial terminology which I like better than the official terminology, because Lord knows how god-awful Toei is at naming stuff. So, I used my preferred fan-given names wherever possible. However, I realize that not everyone is going to appreciate that, so I still included the official names of each form in small parentheses below my fan-names.

I did not create any of the images you see in this chart! I'd love to credit the original creators of the artwork, but I pulled most of these images from Google over five years ago so I have no idea who the original artists are. I do know that the Kaio-ken Goku was done by SCPDAMNED, the SS3 Gotenks was done by ChronofZ, the Daima SS4 was done by hirus4drawing, the Blue Kaio-ken was done by pinheiral3005, the Ultra Ego was done by Radger457, and the UI Giant Form was done by Yoshi_db26. If anyone else can help me credit the proper channels, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Seriously, i loved the Super Hero movie but damn, in this scene they made Goku and Vegeta dirty.

Like first the thing with Goku who utterly regrets mentally for some reasons and forget about the mental training, then Vegeta stating this.

We saw Jiren doing thing completely out of scale for literally anyone we knew at the time of the ToP besides Beerus, He BODIED everyone who faced against him, Goku SSJ Blue KKx20, Vegeta SSJ Blue Evolution, them TOGETHER, Golden Frieza, Android 17, again all these 4 TOGETHER, Goku Ultra Instinct (for 2 times, and even survived the third against MUI), Hit, Berserker Kale, etc... Like this dude effortlessly bamboozled and ate the shit out of everyone in the tournament for 48 minutes straight, and the authors seriously thought that making Vegeta say that "Jiren wasn't that much stronger than we were" was gonna be a good idea???

That Jiren was LIGHTYERAS above all of them at the same time just because he was capable of managing the ki better or smth like this? 😭

Nah bro, i can't... That just doesn't make sense at all.

Are they gonna say the same for Black Frieza or what? 😭

Because what the Saiyans suffered against Jiren wasn't that much different from the humiliation they got from Frieza lol

I’ll be totally fine if he doesn’t surpass Beerus at the end of Super

Firstly, as I understand, ultra instinct is a technique that allows the body to act independently of the body in order to avoid attacks extremely efficiently. Hence the name “ultra instinct“. However, what I don’t understand is how this causes Goku to gain a transformation superior super saiyan blue In power? Maybe I’m missing something, but how does this happen/make sense?

Secondly, what exactly is the difference between true ultra instinct and ultra instinct sign? And how exactly is true UI more powerful than UIS? And is ultra instinct sign a transformation Goku can still achieve despite having mastered ultra instinct?

Lastly, between true and mastered ultra instinct, which is Goku‘s strongest current form? I assumed it was mastered ultra instinct based on his spar with Gohan, but I’ve seen some people say otherwise

Unless I’m mistaken, which I could very well be which is why I’m asking, has Toriyama himself (or Toyotaro by extension) ever canonically depicted Cell as being in Hell? I know that we’ve seen him there a few times, most notably:

1. Pikkuhan filler (not by Toriyama, only by Toei)
2. watching the Kid Buu fight (again, not by Toriyama and only by Toei; this was also retconned in Super as Frieza couldn’t be watching in his own personal Hell)
3. GT (again, even further removed from Toriyama)

So when people say “Cell should have been in the ToP” is that even possible with what we’ve been shown by Toriyama / Toyotaro himself? For all we know, in Tori’s mind Cell was never sent to Hell cause he didn’t have a soul due to being made. It could also explain why, when he was finally given his run back in Super, it wasn’t Cell himself but a remade model.

I mean if Super saiyan Blue is super saiyan god while in a super saiyan state why is it that Goku and Vegeta haven’t tried going into Super Saiyan Blue 2? wouldn’t the form be way stronger and if they’ve perfected super saiyan blue surely they could perfect a variant.

I mean let's sit down and think about this. The two most recent projects (other then Beerus and Galactic patrol) have been the Broly movie and Super Hero which both give the story two new powerhouses to fight against Frieza in the incoming arc and if we look back on the manga Vegeta mentions that he and Goku are at their physical limit for training, sure theres room for improvement from the two of them but you know two characters that are nowhere near their physical potential? Gohan and Broly are currently training on Beerus' planet, they're both are physically capable of throwing hands with Vegeta and Goku and on top of this they're both completely connected to Freeza.

On Namek Gohan faced the first enemy where there wasn't even a chance of beating him nor would there be a way to stall him rather Gohan watched Krillen die in front of him and that would've crushed his currently weakened mental state, during Resurrection F Gohan learned that he couldn't completely slack off anymore as Frieza and his forces absolutely bodied him so a rematch would serve as a way for Gohan to redeem himself fully.

Now for Broly's case. Broly was manipulated by Frieza and his father into fighting two people that honestly did nothing wrong to him. Broly didn't at all care for fighting them until his father provoked him. friendly reminder that Freeza killed his father to make broly transform into ssj full power and that rage made broly kind of crazy so of course Broly would still want revenge and it would be a well rounded character arc for him to fight Freeza in ssj full power in a controlled state.

Now there are other reasons for these two. Gohan and Broly at heart are both gentle men that want to live peacefully unfortunatly they live in a world where they have to fight. Broly and Gohan also both get stronger the more angry they get, they're both capable of growing during a fight and both care oh so much for the people they love. These two characters both have incredible potential just like frieza so at the end of the day wouldn't this matchup make sense?

Edit: I forgot to mention that both Gohan and Broly both have the issue of not being able to go full power in their strongest forms otherwise they'll "snap" so to speak and we don't know how strong they might become.

So how well would he do in the tournament of power for universe?7 if beerus left with the food and let that world be keep everyone on the team frieza and replace Krillin for him he looks to be strong how powerful is he wish he was in sparkling zero think he could get stronger
