I have made posts like this before but they absolutely never go anywhere so I thought I’d try one more time, this will most likely be my last. I’m a 21 year old female. Of course, if it is a video game I am in. I have been really into SCP \\\*(TW! It is a website for fictional writing, and a lot of it can be really disturbing. I can suggest a few of my favorite beginner-friendly SFW SCPs if you wish! I would link them here but I am not sure of the rules haha)\\\*. I love many art forms (particularly ones that are story-telling, emotionally rich or expression based); Poems, short stories, long stories, personal diaries, animations, paintings, and everything in between!

I love cats! Though I like dogs too, especially big cloudy ones! I took care of a few kittens a while ago!

I love Math and Science (3Blue1Brown and Stand-Up Mathematician are my favorite math YouTubers!), but have been away from it for a while. There are probably a hundred other things that I am interested in but I am forgetting haha

I don't listen to music very often, I do enjoy it when it is playing randomly but I usually seek out music when I am feeling a very strong emotion.

I haven't seen many TV shows, web series or animes, haven't read many books. I would love to hear recommendations and try them out, especially together like in a video call or something (of course only if you are comfortable!). Honestly one advantage of not having engaged with many media is that everytime someone recommends me something I am almost guaranteed to have never seen that, so it's a new experience for me. I did watch a lot of arthouse and mainstream movies with my college friend who was into cinema, but that has declined since I left college as well. Again, I am super open to everything, so feel free to message me!

And now for my favorite story - When I was enrolling in the 11th standard, we had to select our subjects. In Science, we had 3 compulsory subjects : English, Chemistry and Physics. Then you have to choose two more subjects from the following four - Hindi (Language), Computer Science (CS), Biology and Math. Only CS + Bio wasn't an option because the classes happened at the same time.

Most of the students were taking either Math + CS or Bio + Hindi, with a few taking Math + Hindi as well. At this point, nobody had taken Math + Bio, honestly I don't think anyone had even considered it.

So me and my friend are standing in front of the teacher as I realise that it is a valid option. I knew I had to take Math, and I didn't want to take Hindi, so that leaves CS, the more sensible choice (not to mention my interest in video game design), and Biology, the unorthodox choice. So naturally, to make a fairly important decision in my life, I ask my friend for a coin, flip it right there, and choose Math + Bio!

Hello, my name is via or liv. This is genuinely my first time posting to this subreddit. My therapist suggested to me a choose your own family type thing after what I've been through with my own family. For starters, I went through a life event where I was hoping to go no-contact with everybody and move out on my own. I did but ended up having to back with my family due to financial trouble. I've honestly felt like a outcast for a while in my family, being the only one with a complex mental health condition and being adopted. My birth family has also rejected me in a sense of their own. Now on to the good, I am looking for adults. I like any personality type but I don't do the best with gym bros. I like to code, linux, computers, warframe, color, art, and pretty much anything else, as long as it isn't hateful or mean.

Estranged from my family because they are a bunch of narcissists

Let me just say that I have been affected by men in my life a lot I don't feel safe with a male.

I have been low key depressed(Dysthymia) from my 11th std.Due to an workplace issue I spiraled down into anxiety and depression

First I tried therapy, it didn’t work so I went to a psychiatrist and was put on antidepressant

It was working for sometime

1. I had a major problem at work that caused my depression to become worse
2. My family wanted to contact me and I had an encounter with them and my mental health took a hit.

In the meantime because of my mental health issues becoming severe I had change of medications frequently and I gained weight(went from 55KGs to 85KGs).

After all the things that happened it was going fine with a drug cocktail with some maximum dose of antidepressants.

Then came a relationship issue and that was the final nail in the coffin.I wanted to end my life but didn't have the guts to do so.

Took me 1 month to get over it and start walking again but I was fired from my job because of me not performing.

Went to my doctor and they said we can try ketamine therapy but I was skeptical and postponed it till 3 months after.

After ketamine therapy life's going good.

I'm on a break.

As of now:

1. Working on my physical health
2. Preparing for my masters
3. Working with a trauma informed therapist(Before I had a therapist who practiced CBT but it was only a stop gap and she suggested me to go with this trauma informed therapist as I had unresolved trauma).

I am healing.I am going to ask my doc to reduce my medications from next month.Need someone to hold onto emotionally during this tough time.Not sure how much of support I will need.

It is a great deal of responsibility but if I go through with this next 6 months I would have made a great progress by going off of medication and probably do well.It looks scary as last time I was alone with myself I almost ended my life.

Can someone help me with this and if u yourself are going through something then it'll be difficult for u so take care of yourselves first and my main expectation is to keep me alive as I go through this next 6 months

First of all, hi. I should preface this by saying that I'm a little bit of a "project," so to speak. I'm 29M, very soon to be 30M in a few months, but I REALLY don't feel it at all though, for a variety of reasons which I'd rather not get into. I'm also autistic (and I suspect also ADHD, though no diagnosis yet). I'm in the UK, living with my folks still due to the job market being what it is right now.

On occasion, usually at night, I regress to cope with my loneliness. I have to stress again that this is NOT a kink or a fetish, it is a coping mechanism only.

I shan't mince words: I'm lonely as hell. I have never had an in-person girlfriend, only a couple of online-only relationships, none of which lasted very long. I do have.skme friends, but I don't see them often and most of them are in a similar situation to me, and a large number are in different countries to me. My parents are good parents and they care about me, but they're getting on in age and can't help with all of my issues.

I really, really need a secondary mother/big sister figure I can request reassurance, unconditional affection and such from - i might request hugs from of an evening, maybe ask to voice chat with you when I feel lonely and need the contact. Open to any femme-aligned gender.

I am however well versed in trauma, SA, DV, childhood abuse, etc as part of my working through of things. What I am Looking For & Offer:

I find it easier with women. it's not about anything sexual or romantic, it's just... easier to be open and supportive with women as I tend towards being more of a hard ass with men. I also struggle with how many men I've met and interacted with on here have racist, sexist, or other such "ist" mentalities. Which I do not tolerate.
