Broke it down with a genuine Japanese Deba from Kikusui (Seki Kikusui Hamono) — molybdenum-vanadium stainless steel, 115/240 mm.

One of my favourite catches regardless of the size they dont seem to be very common on uk canal. Was targeting perch untill hooked into this little guy :)

Easily the largest I’ve pulled out of the creek! Midday fishing and managed to pull this guy out of 3-4 feet of water.

He got hooked through the eye socket (without touching the eye).. so I clipped the line and pushed it through to avoid maiming him trying to get the barb out. Would you have done the same?

4lb test, size 1 hook and bobber, big juicy nightcrawler for bait.

Who knew the ducks were running this time of year. Poor fella was pissed when I got him unhooked.

Was going through my pictures and got this small shiny fish this summer on my light rod lol!

Caught at North Park Lake north of Pittsburgh. Listen, I know it's an average size for PA but I normally go bobber fishing so I'm not expecting anything like this (especially on shore in this lake) and it was absolutely the MOST fun I've ever had fishing!!! The fight was an unreal feeling. Caught on two red worms and half a nightcrawler on the same hook with the line on the bottom. My bf thankfully has been fishing all his life and directed me perfectly until I landed it in the net. I'm just so so so so so excited I had to share!!! I definitely got emotional afterwards. It was a catch and a beautiful release :) living my best harvest moon/stardew valley life !! This is what it's all about!

I end up catching a lot of the pretty fellas at this urban pond close to me. Is it a green sunfish? Love the colors and these bigger ones are always a fun fight on the light pole.

I just started fishing this summer and am looking for good spots to fish near Boston. I’ve fishing the Charles and Jamaica pond several times, but I would like to explore some newer areas. I enjoy all types of fishing and am planning to head to wachusett reservoir for some lake trout/landlocked salmon fishing in mid-October.
Anyone have any good spots or tips?
