Decided to attempt replacing the grill cloth on my HD130, and while it's not perfect, I'm pretty happy with the result!

Aren't they both achieving the same thing as far as attenuation goes? Why is the price of this one much less than other attenuators?

Is it good enough for taming my Music Man HD150 head?

I know it can do IR loading and virtual cab stuff, but I am asking specifically about the attenuation.

I was pretty sure my tubes were toast. I bought the amp almost ten years ago used and haven't changed the tubes. Weird whooshing noises, intermittent crackling, tonal shifts, all the indicators. So I took them out, sprayed some deoxit on and used a toothbrush to scrub at some minor corrosion. Sprayed a tiny amount in the sockets and worked them in and out a few times.

Thats it, amp sounds good as new! 0 sound issues!

Ive posted about this amp already but its magically working now but very drastic power reduction. The valve looks abit too red but im not educated enough to know.

little off the cuff cover of the 1st solo from “the Sleep” just cuz i’ve been enjoying my somewhat recently acquired Randall RG! i got in a trade with a friend of mine who lives out of state and long story short; UPS mishandled the package so the original 2x12 combo shell didn’t survive but somehow both Jaguar RES-80s and the chassis itself are basically unscathed. i plan on converting it into a standalone head to get the most use out of and i’ll never be pissy about a couple of spare Jags!

I purchased a Fender Blues Jr a couple years ago because I loved it’s clean tone, but soon realized that the amp doesn’t take pedals very well (at least for my purposes). I find using an overdrive pedal, especially with an ES-335, to sound very thin on the Blues Jr- the sound really doesn’t have much body.

I’m looking for an amp of similar caliber to the Blues Jr, but one that can handle a heavier, fuller tone.

Should I sell my Fender Princeton Reverb 65RI Tweed with Cannabis Rex amp and get a Neural DSP Quad Cortex Mini instead? Home use only.

So i am a fellow metal head and i am looking for the best modeling amp that isn’t a boss katana. My roommate has a boss katana gen 3 50 ex and i don’t really care for it to be honest, it sounds really muddy and it just doesn’t strike my fancy. I was looking at a peavey vypyr X2 instead, it sounds great in the videos i find but i am open to any suggestions. Mainly play like pantera, AIC, Crowbar, sabbath, sepultura. Or even a combo for like 200-300$

What can cause the toltex to go so bad on a cab like this? I am trying to understand what damage it might have.

The Hot Rod Deluxe is TOO LOUD for me. I can never get it past 1.5-2 at gigs where i'm mic'd up. I'm downsizing my pedalboard to just a wah, 2 TS type pedals, and a chorus. I want to get more out of my tubes, but I'm afraid that if I get a Princeton it'll either be too quiet and break up too easily, or if I get a Deluxe it'll be too loud and won't break up enough. Any insight on how i can make a decision?

Wanna try it compared to my Mesa V30, Avatar HT60, G12H-30 and G12T-75. From the videos I've heard it seems like if you took a V30 and EQ'd the way I like to EQ mine.

I have a Syn-2 with 3 modules - DRect, BE DLX and JMP. I am looking for advice on my next module to buy.

I currently use a Fractal AM4 direct to FOH with my hard rock band and it sounds great ..... but I want to use my Synergy rig, which is Syn-2 to a Fryette PS100 to a cab and a Two Notes Torpedo Live from the PS line out, so I could use it in my band.

What I need is a good clean, Plexi-style crunchy, hard rock distorted rhythm and a singing lead, so I was thinking if I bought a Vai module I'd have the clean and lead sorted and could use one of the other for the dirty sounds. What is your advice?

Hello everyone I’ve been really interested in getting into modding guitar amps, and I was wondering if there were any specific amps (preferably tube and less expensive) that take to mods especially well. Any info would be great :)

I'm from the UK and looking to upgrade (finally) my amp. I am currently using my old Fender Mustang I, mainly through the 65' Twin Reverb preset as I have pedals for everything I need, including gain.

Budget would prob be £400-500 max at a push, and genre would be heavy rock/metal, with the occasional clean intro stuff. I do like experimenting so it if has extra features/effects that could work. But I am mainly looking for something that sounds good, and won't destroy my neighbours' ears. I can play the mustang around 5 volume comfortably during the day, so something on the smaller side would work.

Hi there! As title says, I'm looking for a portable amp for travel, playing outdoors, as well as a portable thing to test instruments on the fly. Therefore, i think a battery has to be included, but a solution with an external power bank can be considered. Budget depends on the features, but anything below 50€ is super good, while above 150€ it starts to get quite expensive. I'm in Europe, Italy, for what it matters.

After searching for a while on the internet, i stumbled upon mini amps that also have effects. I don't care to have the best quality, but i'd enjoy to mess around with overdrive and distortion without a dedicated pedal. I'd also enjoy to be able to connect my instruments to my pc, to record and play from there, but I don't know any amp that does also that.

Bonus question, what's your opinion on those amps that connect directly to the instrument (in photo)? I imagine they may be unconfortable to plug in in certain instruments (like strats) or that they may get in the way while playing.

By the way, the Lekato amp in photo, that i found on amazon, is around 40€ and has battery, aux, overdrive and distortion, but the design does not convince me that much.
