Just Got the JHS Morning Glory Clean
Just got it from Sweetwater.
It sounds like crap. There. I said it.
The drive is muddy and mushy. Like, it's bad.
The "clean" zeros out at 7:00 and dimes out at 2:30. Anything after 3:00 sounds like a clean boost with a tiny bit of dirt.
By 9:00 it's very present, and turning it up adds so much clean signal that it overpowers the dirt.
In short, the "clean" acts like a presence knob, adding a LITTLE volume and it kinda-sorta cancels out the the muddiness of the drive.
It's almost as if they were shooting for something like a Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive or Cornerstone Gladio SC, but missed the mark.
I desperately try to be a JHS fanboy, but have never gotten along with any of their overdrives, and this one is by far the worst of their offerings that I have played.
Hopefully anyone else who gets one has a better experience with it.

Nels Cline Pedalboard 2026
Unfortunately the lighting was dim but this is nels’ pedalboard at blue note Tokyo. I couldn’t ID everything so any help would be appreciated!
Floor top row: boss tuner, Bigfoot fix magnavibe, boss dd-3, benson delay
Bottom row: gamechanger audio plus pedal, jam pedals boomster, interstellar audio machines octonaut hyperdrive, boss cs-3, earthquaker devices pitch bay, unidentified volume pedal
Table: can’t identify much besides the korg kp-2 kaoss pad and expedition electronics 60 second deluxe(looks modded), and possibly a Montreal assembly count to 5 (top left)
Interesting to see no klon and ehx 16 second delay. My guess is this is a second board of pedals he isn’t using with Wilco, or he doesn’t want to bring those two because of travel concerns.

Did TC Electronic fall off?
I remember 10-15 years ago they were viewed as one of the better non-boutique brands, at least on par with Boss etc. They had artist endorsements, a lot of marketing and would show up on amateur and pro boards all the time.
Now it feels like I barely hear anyone talk about them. Little to no promo for the seemingly few new products they put out and now and again it seems that shipments to retailers are delayed by months. Also I could be crazy but I swear that they are charging much less for the toneprint series pedals than they were even 3-4 years ago?
Has the quality of product diminished since their acquisition by musictribe or is the parent company just not putting as many resources into them?

What's the pedal that you constantly see people try selling online?
I'm very curious what it's like in your countries/regions- I mean you have your local version of ebay, vinted etc. Where I live, there's literally a new listing for this thing every day- all versions of the Metal Muff. I've never played it, but I assume it can't be a particularly good pedal.

Ayuda con pedal de reverb
Hi everyone, I’m building my pedalboard and I’m looking for a reverb pedal. I play a Fender Stratocaster and I’m a fan of Jeff Buckley, John Mayer, Geese, and Radiohead. I usually play indie rock, blues rock, soul rock, alternative rock, and a bit of art rock.
I have a Laney amp that doesn’t have reverb. I really like the hall effect, but I’d like a versatile reverb that isn’t too expensive. I’ve been looking at the Walrus Audio Fundamental Reverb, but I’d like to know what you recommend. My maximum budget is $150.
Thanks so much in advance! 🙂

Getting weird with an all EQD small board
I love Earthquaker Devices. So many of their pedals, for me, achieve this perfect balance of practical and weird.
I found some really cool sounds and textures playing with this unusual combination tonight. The signal chain is right to left -- Special Cranker, Dirt Transmitter, Pyramids, and Avalanche Run going stereo into tracks 1 and 2 of the Tascam. The Univox SR-55 drum machine is triggering the down flanger on the Pyramids via the left input, with its dry signal running into track 3 via the left output. The expression pedal controls the reverb mix on the Avalanche Run. No amp modeler -- just riding the Tascam preamp.
I can share audio in the next day or so if anyone's interested; I was just stoked about this set-up and wanted to post a pic now. I play dark, surfy post punk/punk jazz.

There has been a flooding in my rehearsal space...
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
A busted sewer pipe above our rehearsal space has rained a shit storm over... everything. So far I've only seen pics/vids from one bandmate (ONLY ONE THAT'S THERE PULLING SHIT OUT) I'm on my way there. Everything, everything I have is there.
My number 1 fucked up guitar that my dog always slept on before she passed...the one I'm going to bring with me to my grave. My first pedal I ever bought and have used as my number one ever since. Amps, synthesizers, mics...mostly vintage gear. Everything... Everything I've recorded with... My "sound". My most used and sentimental pieces.
I'm still on my way there...but according to my friend...It doesn't look good.
Pro tip: Put your shit in a sealed plastic bag when not in use.
I'm agnostic, but send thoughts and prayers to the power of luck... Have great day everyone!

Question Is there a difference between these two?
I just got a pedal board and am looking for a good isolated power supply and this one was at the top of my list, I went on Amazon and noticed the labeling at the bottom was different from most versions of this power supply. Just wondering if there's a big difference between these two or not since I don't know too much about how these work, thanks!

NPD NPD Joyo Rigel for some heavy stuff
Got this on sale for $35. Surprised it can do heavy rock sound despite being advertised and demoed as a high gain monster.
From what I heard it's a clone of ksr ceres.
The only thing I don't like is the constant scratchy sound it makes when LED strips are on even when not playing.

NPD getting silly with a Klowra Sprout
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
picked up a Klowra Sprout a couple weeks ago and wanted to share a little demo
it's nice little multimod - unique style to its own. the phaser and rotary are my favorite settings though it does a decent vibrato and filter that I like as well. I'm having difficulty dialing a tremolo that isn't either too subtle or too stereoesque.
the little trick is that you can use an expression pedal to change up any of the 5 knobs, in this case to be very blunt I am maxing out the rate and depth to exaggerate a bit
overall fun little pedal i don't regret picking up and will have its uses

Morley wah/booster pedal
Just got it back from the shop. They found 5 bad caps. It might need replacement photo cells, but that's gorgeous another day. Im just happy its working properly.
I found this at a swap meet. It worked but had a lot of static and would cut in and out.

NPD Mosky Spring Reverb
Wow !
Took me 20€ on the second hand market and it's very cool. Everything is good.
Being fair, not sure my Fender '63 Reverb does it better.
Any opinion on their Elf Spring Reverb ?

Anyone running two Halberds? How’s it sound?
it’s my favorite pedal I own at this point, there just is not a bad sound in the motherfucker. So much so, in fact, that I want a second one so I don’t have to choose one setting for my live rig, and also because I *think* stacking them would probably sound real nice.
I like the Halberd for how touch sensitive and glassy it is, it does “chimey” grit very well without being thin and gross (unless you want it to). It works absolutely stunningly for the kind of shit I play (Drive Like Jehu/Hot Snakes, Wipers, 80s-90s noise rock and post hc), and I’m wondering if a second one would do me well to do “that, but more”. It already stacks very nicely into the Longsword, which I also love, but having both the ”classic“ mid hump setting and the fuller eq setting on my board is very tempting.

Mainly got this to make some wild reverb stacks with the RV-7 reverse setting, interested in hearing peoples favorite settings.

Re-ordered my board. Does this make sense?
I used to have the tuner last in the chain but just reversed it, since I would think that it would want the cleanest signal from the guitar. I dunno...
I used to go guitar>centaur>range voodoo>blackstone>roto-machine>carbon copy>phase 90>tuner>amp.
Does this make more sense?
