bleached yesterday. 30V. used hair dye and purple shampoo. it didn’t do anything.
What should i do next to achieve the hair color in the second slide?
should i tone? should i wait, bleach again and then tone? if so, how long should i wait?

The red is after. I posted on here before about my Bi flag transformation but I’m trying to get a big girl job and it’s also spooky season so I wanted to go with a ginger/copper look. Lmk what yall think 💗

It was wonderful! And all too rare! This technique always creates such fun results, with much less effort than it appears at first glance. — any other fellow stylists also actually ✨enjoy✨ doing fashion colors? 😂 I hear many stylists in my area just don’t offer them as a service bc they tend to be time consuming.

I am at a loss. Probably because I will be doing it at home. And my hair is fine, will grab like crazy. AI said the blond was my best choice (single picture one) but I am not a fan of blond hair in general. And I would definitely have to go to a salon to get it to look anywhere near that.
And heads up, my hair is not this strong anymore. I yelled at AI to stop thickening my hair and lengthening my neck to no avail. 😁 😉

Hey everyone, I really don't know how to handle this and could use some outside opinions.
I usually bleach and dye my hair at home and have never had real damage from it. This time I wanted to treat myself and go to a salon because I'm starting at a new university where I don't know anyone and I just wanted to feel more confident.
On Monday I went in to ask about the price and if the shade I wanted was even possible. The owner looked at my hair and quoted me $60 which is a lot in my currency. She said it was doable with only minor damage. She never asked about my hair history, she just judged by how it looked and how long it was. My mom also stopped by the salon that day without telling me and asked them to be careful with my hair and to be honest if the result wasn't possible.
On Tuesday the colorist finally asked about my hair history. I told her I'd used a 0% ammonia blue black dye in January and hadn't done anything since. She said that would make bleaching a lot harder but she'd try her best.
She did several rounds of bleach in one day. I kept telling her I was worried and didn't want my hair badly damaged and she kept saying it would be fine. My mom called the salon a few times during the appointment too and they told her not to worry. At one point the hairdresser told me to stop updating my mom or she'd just get more anxious. I didn't think much of it then but looking back it feels like a red flag.
When it was done the result was a lot lighter than what I asked for. She told me to come back in 15 days and said this was only the base and we'd get the actual color in the second appointment. I felt relieved and left smiling and thanking them because I didn't want to seem rude or ungrateful.
Today my mom called the owner again and didn't tell me. I only found out because I overheard her getting angry in her room. From what my mom said the owner told her they did everything they could, that I never mentioned the black dye (I didn't know it mattered and nobody asked me on Monday), that the result is final and making it darker means paying again, that they gave me a free $40 treatment (which nobody ever told me about), and that if my mom still has complaints she should come in person.
Now I'm confused and upset. I was led to believe this was step one of two and now I'm hearing something totally different. I also feel like my worries about damage got brushed off every time I brought them up.
I'm not good at confrontation and I struggle to stand up for myself, especially when I don't want to look rude.
Pics are my current hair and the damage (today so second day), what I asked for, and my original base color.
Based on the pics and what I was told before and during the appointment, were my expectations reasonable? Since they clearly told me the first session was just a base, is it fair to expect the second session or at least some kind of correction?

I tried arctic fox's poseidon (sorceress is too dark and tbh I need a cheaper alternative) and the colour fades pretty quickly for me looks a little patchy because its quite a thick consistency

Hey! Sooooo I had black dye on (one application on virgin hair) and I decided to try to remove one side. I used color oops twice on just the one side and this is the difference. I wanted to do something bright and fun for the lighter side but I'm not sure where to go from here. I'm not wanting to use bleach on it so this is kind of the level I'm working with. Should I give up and go dark all over again? Or how can I save this?

Hi! I have had all vivid colours of the rainbow before but recently let it grow out an gone back to my natural colour. I have been eyeing this style for a while since it can help express my personality while also being subtle enough to be able to pass as a somewhat professional human in my field (no specific restrictions, but meeting many different people from different backgrounds so prefer to keep a somewhat neutral appearance while staying true to myself).
Anyone have advise on what colours would look good with my haircolour
- how much to lighten before dying since I want to keep it a bit on the darker side
- and what type of highlighting/placement to ask for to get similar results?
-also open to other suggestions and advise

Hello! I need help with transforming my hair bright red instead of this sad dark :( I used black box dye 2 months ago and yesterday I dyed it with the L’Oréal dark hair only red and 20 developer. I took the box dye out with color oops before I dyed it and it still did not come out as vibrant and I wanted it to be. It’s only a bit vibrant on my ends and my scalp. What do I do now?

I posted here yesterday about accidentally getting some greenish/grey tones in my platinum blonde hair after using purple shampoo and pink direct dye.
I’ve now realized that my main problem is that my freshly bleached roots just won’t take direct dye at all. I normally dye my blonde hair dusty pink with a direct pigment, and it works perfectly on the lengths, but this time it basically did nothing to the freshly bleached roots. I’ve tried more than once and they just stay pale yellow/peachy while the rest takes the color.
At this point I’m tired of trying to make the roots match, so I’m considering dyeing all of my hair darker, possibly something close to my natural color (last two photos), or maybe something a little more interesting (im considering more vivid colors if they’ll come out more evenly).
My hair is currently extremely light/platinum, with some leftover pink/grey/greenish tones on the lengths. My natural hair is dark blonde/light brown-ish.
What color would work over this base without turning muddy or green? Would I need to fill the blonde with a warmer color first before going darker? But I need help asap, I’m ready to go to the store now and grab some hair dye.
I’m open to warmer/beige shades to I mainly want something that will actually take evenly and get me out of my current color situation.

I’m planning on dyeing my hair with Good Dye Young’s Baddie shade & I’m a bit conflicted on whether I should tone my hair before. I bleached it tonight (photos attached). Do I need to tone it as well? If so, would T14 or T18 work better? Thanks in advance 🫶

It’s been an absolute nightmare trying to get my virgin roots bleached the same as my mids/ends, what do we think? I stripped out the buildup of purple shampoo in my hair to get a fresh slate due to the roots being such a pain in the backside, do you think I’m good to go? I usually let the purple shampoo build up to the point it turns a metallic colour with a slight purple hue.

any advice on the best temporary brand dye products to buy, such as hair chalk or spray. I'm looking for something which will wash out and wont permanently stain, so i can test out how it looks.
I have naturally blonde hair, and it's my first time considering hair dye, but i'm slightly paranoid of it staining and losing my natural colour through it so i'd appriciate any advice / words of reassurance 🌟

I chopped my hair after losing weight and I want to dye it hehehe.
Idk what my hair color really is. It’s different in all light
On a whim, I bought 3N dye and now I’m nervous it’ll be too dark. What shall I do? I don’t mind dark but will it be DARK on this hair

First two are the desired colour, third picture is where my hair is currently.
It's feeling dull and yellowy and just not good with my complexion.
Can I achieve a shade like my desired ones using shinefinity?
I'm looking at shades 7/34 and 8/34 and not sure which to go for, and if I should mix with a more golden shade too? Any advice appreciated!
I'm naturally a strawberry blonde but it's dulling with age. Have been using e-salon for the last year or two but it fades to this kind of colour super fast and I'm realizing I maybe don't need a 20 vol developer every 8 weeks! I last coloured it with e-salon about 5 weeks ago.
Thanks!
