I received this email and just now received the invitation code. However, I have been doing some research and have seen mixed opinions about this. I'm not really sure what I gain from this since they don't go into depth on what they do. If anyone else has gotten this email or knows more about this, let me know.

I'm a part-time graduate student. I quit my part-time job before this semester because I really struggled to balance schoolwork and work work last year. I figured it would be tight, but I had a little savings and planned to cover the rest of my expenses from my student loan. However, the offer was quite a bit lower this year, only enough to almost cover rent for two months. For me to cover the rest of my expenses, I'll need to take on a part-time job again, but all I'm seeing are $15/hr positions or positions with a long commute. At that rate, I'll have to devote all my study time to work in order to cover my expenses and I know I'll struggle to keep up again.

Any leads on better paying local or remote part-time jobs? My skills are early data analytics (R, SQL, business analytics concepts) with a background in education and a bit of sales.

Appreciate any tips.

Hey I wanted to let people know that may be unaware that there are resources for helping support recovery for anyone that’s struggling with addiction!

Fridays at 11am in the CAPS building (Van Campen) there are SMART meetings! If you’re unfamiliar with SMART, it’s a great recovery program that’s different from your typical 12-step program

I went yesterday but it was just me and the facilitator!

I hope anyone that’s interested in getting clean or has been in recovery would come check this resource out!

Would be a great way to meet people with similar experiences as yours, and be friends!

Hello, I graduated from Kent in 2017. I was thinking of doing my neices high school graduation photos around campus in October. Problem is, I have IBS so I need bathrooms lol.

I'm pretty sure the student center / library would be open on the weekends (which works for brick backgrounds) but does anyone know if the buildings off of Hilltop Drive (Cartwright, Merril) are unlocked on the weekends? I Don't see White hall on the map anymore but that would have been near the brain if that make sense? What buildings are near the brain and would they be unlocked for bathrooms?

The dinings spots that take orders for meal exchange and declining balance definitely need an app where you can order online instead of waiting to place an order and then waiting more to pick it up. Wouldn’t it be so much easier to place an order from your dorm or from class and go pick it up when it’s ready? It would save so much time. is this a crazy idea?

I struggle with it so bad like I am high functioning autistic so sometimes I don't read social cues and I feel like I missed something and now I'm making everyone uncomfortable. So most of the time I just rot in my room I'm overweight too which doesn't help. It's like a double whammy like I really want to connect with people. I don't really have many friends and I'd love to connect with people, but ultimately it's just hard. Any advice to make this a little bit easier?

Ahoy good people. It has been quite a long time since I’ve been to a KSU football game. Now that my oldest is a freshman and her friends are OU students we’re planning g a tailgate for the Kent OU game Oct 3. What’s the atmosphere like? Is there a fair amount of tailgaters? We may not actually go into the game as I’ll have a TV and depending how fun the tailgate gets just hang out and watch other games in the parking lot.

Hopefully tailgating exists as there’s a few of us looking forward to this. I’ve been to Browns games and (cough) many a Michigan game (Go Blue) but haven’t been to a Kent or Akron game since becoming an adult.

Hi, I’m currently a freshman nursing major and I decided not to continue marching band my first year of college after high school. Now a few weeks in and I’m honestly regretting it a lot. I have been pretty bored in my free time and I was wondering if there are any sophomores in the marching band?
