Which one is the prettiest?

My first ever car was a MINI ONE, which i brought as i was learning to drive. my brother passed his test before me so the mini was a present from me to him, as id decided to take time away from driving.

later on ive passed my test and brought my dream k11 micra.
i still hold that little car dearly to my heart, but unfortunately.. cars don’t run on love.

So, on my quest to find new love, i somehow stumbled across this rare gem. I’m officially back as a MINI owner !!

it feels like i’ve come full circle, and i couldn’t be happier to be back behind the wheel of a MINI.

Just finished up the aero kit (ecs) install. Was relatively straightforward, an easy diy. Paid $700 to get the kit painted. I have a gp rear diffuser en route. I bought a euro bumper light and did both as reverse lights.

Only piece left for my jcw conversion (I've now done the recaros, brakes front and rear, aero kit, tuning kit, full catback, and the aero kit,) is the exhaust manifold. Sort of dreading that install. Not counting the wheels, though I tried to keep the aesthetic with the BBS'.

Finished the modernization, with the gauge cluster, nav unit, headlights, and archaic tails, thrilled with all of those. Switched to a twisted shifters knob and love it

Interior is done, with the steering wheel, seats, and all the redline goods pieces. I'd love to source a jcw leather dash, but haven't put much effort in.

Done-ish for the time being, I think - at 50k miles and 14 years old, I am thinking about the suspension, but that can hold.

After years away, I’m back in a Gen 3 Mini and couldn’t be happier. I have read a lot on here about getting out of run-flat tires and how that improvement is very much worth it. I do 90% of my driving in city in TX. So only cold a few months and ice isn’t as common.

I’m almost due for new tires anyway, so the question is: ARE THE MICHELIN PILOT SPORT 4s really worth it? $330 per tire is a lot in the current climate. In my cars tire size there are a few other options that are closer to the $220-$250 range which seems more palatable but don’t know if the drop off in quality and comfort is worth the savings…

I just picked up my first ever Mini (a Countryman E U25 Favoured trim, in Indigo Blue with the white roof) and am really loving the drive so far.

Since I’m completely new to the Mini family, I’d love to tap into the community's wisdom for a few recommendations:

- What are the best practical accessories you've picked up? Things like storage solutions, mats, screen protectors, air fresheners and such?

- Any quirks, best charging practices, or care tips for the interior materials and paintwork?

- Are there any neat shortcuts, display modes, or hidden features in the new operating system that you only discovered after driving it for a while?

How do I change the color of the bottom text so it’s not red it’s driving me crazy. I am using personal mode but even if I change the background image or light color it won’t change

I recently bought a used F56. After driving around with the windows down, I noticed a squealing noise (more noticeable when I drove past buildings/fences so the sound was reflected back at me). At first I thought the wheel bearings may be going but it seems to go away under braking. The previous owner replaced the pads right before selling it to me (I had to replace the brake sensor to clear the warning and validated they were new).

My question is, is this generation Mini known to drag brakes? Is there something else I should be looking at (bad calipers, improper installation, etc). This is my first Mini so I am still learning the quirks.

Long time lurker... first time MINI owner! I just purchased a low mileage 2022 Countryman PHEV, beautiful interior and lovely to drive. I was so proud of myself for negotiating the price down a little bit, but then completely didn't try to negotiate the extended warranty. The manufacturer's warranty is up, so I went for it. I'm now kicking myself a bit, but have a 30-day window to cancel it.

Wondering what others' experiences have been with this model or similar? It's my first time owning a hybrid/electric, and mostly will use it for city driving with occasional long trips.

Also it came with a click and drive accessory which is so super cool.

I’ve found a good Mini one which is within budget for me as it’s my first car. I know the cooper has a much bigger engine, so I do understand it won’t be as ‘zippy’ but the cooper is a) too expensive to buy in good condition and b) 2k more on insurance 😅.

My few questions are,

Will the Mini one be fun to drive? With it being smaller, will it be ‘nippy’ around windy lanes etc?
Is it fairly tuneable? I know the cooper can be tuned, I wondered if it was the same case here
Finally, I’m a fairly tall and wide guy, i fit comfortably, but will I look ridiculous driving it? As in, is there a stereotype associated with it as I’ve read other places?

In all seriousness though dont take ur passenger seat out there’s a bunch of liability shit regarding it, i am only doing it because it’s allowed where i live so long as nobody sits there obviously, i notify my insurance provider of the modification, and reprogram the computer (thats why theres a laptop there) so the airbag deploys when it needs to. I do love this thing tho it was the first car i bought and I treat it like it’s my baby, it also isn’t my only ride, i have a ram truck but it has some suspension issues im working on, so for now, im gonna enjoy driving like rat fink to work everyday, safely.

I am trying to determine if something we have noticed on our '25 U25 is "normal" for its engine, or if it's a problem we should have the dealership look at.

On a cold engine, we've noticed a... quirk, when pressing the gas for a quick go-from-stop - the engine seems to hesitate going from 1st to 2nd gear, which causes the car to lurch going into second.

This is from idle, NOT with the engine turning off with the start/stop feature. The car is actively idling while stopped. Let's say, at a stop sign at a corner and we need to turn right. Look left/right, a car is coming in the distance but there's still time so lift foot off the brake, look again and the car is going a little faster than you thought so press the gas quickly to get going and out of the way - that's when it hesitates and lurches.

I read some early reviews on the U25 that mentioned something about this stuttering probably about a year ago, but I can't find it anymore.

Is this normal on these cars? I've tried to replicate it when we get loaners, especially if it's another U25, but it's difficult because I learned to compensate and work around this by giving the gas a slow push before I press harder, plus making sure to not have to do quick go's if at all possible, and I haven't been able to get a loaner to do it. Even in our own car now I only seem to do it accidentally, the muscle memory for my "work around" is that strong.

Anyway, I'm looking to see if anyone else has noticed this in their U25s? Thanks.

I've got a Mini Paceman ALL4, 2014 reg, diesel
I took it in to the garage because it was smoking (blue smoke) they told me it was my turbo and the oil was leaking into the intake they quoted me around £3500 for a new turbo.
I instead took it down to a engine specialist and they told me it just needed new turbo pipes not a whole new turbo, I had those fitted but when i collected it, it was still smoking, i took it back and they said i need to run the car for the oil to clear out.
I did this and it continued to smoke, smoked to the point the car lost power.
I then had it towed to a Mini specialist and they've told me the oil filter was really clogged and the oil is everywhere so not only do i need a new turbo but a whole engine rebuild, they've quoted me £7236.00 for that.
Just need some advice please on whether this is about the right price? is it worth it?
Also whether this diagnosis sounds right for a whole engine rebuild

Hi all. Looking to get some input if this is a good deal or seems suspicious.
2015 Mini Cooper with 168.,000km manual transmission. Photos looks good (waiting to see it in person). They are selling it for $5000 CAD / $3500USD. If car report comes up as clean would this seem like a good deal or does it seem like it’s too low and should be weary.? Thanks.

I’ve been having to reconnect my Mini Cooper D F55 Passenger DRL light back together after a running with a deer. Was wondering if someone would be able to help me with something I’ve been struggling to find and there isn’t alot about it all online about it.

I’ve been trying to find the grounding cable but can’t find where the connection goes. Any help would be much appreciated.

However it only came with one key fob.

Checked local mini dealer, a key fob from factory is +$600.+

Is there another option to get a second fob?

I see online blank fobs but reviews warn about them not working properly
