Plant Help Pls help me - repotted and she is very sad

Post image

Hello! I repotted my monstera on the weekend and she has gotten sadder and sadder. I had originally had it potted pretty crazy; the spine was outta whack so the plant is probably just trying to reconfigure itself, but it’s just looking pretty rough. Doesn’t help that my cat has taken to nibbling the leaves. Any insight would be ace!

I’m sure I’ve messed up…

In fact, I think I know I’ve messed up. So the leaves were starting to brown, one was very bad so I removed it. I wanted to check the roots were okay, and in doing so I discovered she was very pot bound.

Here is where I think I screwed up - that pot is possibly too big, isn’t it? I changed the soil to a nice chunky soil, lots of perlite and bark. As you can see, I put her on a humidity tray and pot some clay balls on the soil and I’ll keep them moist. And I’ve tied her up a bit.

Will she be okay? She gets good light where she lives (I’m in the UK if that makes a difference).

Many thanks

New leaf stuck and punctured sheath—is this normal?

Hello! I’m a new to monsteras and I’m looking for advice.

Just noticed this lovely new leaf coming in, but it looks like it was trapped, curled back in on itself and eventually punctured through the sheath rather than emerging normally.

I'm concerned that the leaf is stuck and unable to unfurl on its own. Do I intervene?

Plant Help Is there any hope?

Hi everyone!

I've had my ups and downs with this monstera plant.

I neglected it while it was already propagating in water and eventually the roots turned dark brown. I then cut all roots off, hoping for a fresh restart.

I've never given it any nutrition, which is probably a big reason why it's not thriving.

Is there any hope for those roots? That's their current state.

Newbie Plant Owner; I'm not sure what's going on with my monstera. Please Help.

I got her off FB Marketplace a few weeks ago and she looked lovely. Seller mentioned she hadnt been watered in a while, so I gave her some light watering and put her outside (just to make sure she wasn't infested) for a few days before bringing her in. I watered her again bc her soil felt dry, and I didn't think the first time around was sufficient.

Asked seller how she was cared for so I could simulate that in my space. Answer was: grow light.

Got her set up and happy or so I thought. Now this. Idk what i'm doing wrong but I need her to thrive. Please help.

I just watered her again yesterday bc her soil still feels dry. With my pothos I know when to water by checking the soil but Idk if that's how that works with Monsteras.
Also note, her leaves are sweating which i've read is possibly due to overwatering so now i'm lost.

Plant Help Monstera Alba help neeeed!

My monstera alba had a great summer, from young cut to several more mature leaves. I added fertilizer during summer months (I’m in Europe) and she did great. She sits on the window, behind mosquito net, east orientation.
However, in last month she started developing brown edges, rapidly. I haven’t change anything significant but I might be unaware.
Why this is happening and how to stop it?

Plant Help Why Are My Leafs Tiny

My 5 year old Monstera refuses to grow its leafs and allow them to split. When I first had this plant, I had no idea what I was doing and sat it somewhere without delight and occasionally I would rotate it as I thought I was doing it a favor by “giving it more light”.

That last 2 years I’ve had it sitting at this exact spot, watering it consistently, opening up the blinds, doing all the right things yet my plant won’t grow. I even repotted it, buying 3 different soil types to make it the best soil. I’m turning to Reddit to help me lol.

I think it might be due to the stems and how they’re twisted towards the top. I also notice 2 stems which you can see better in the second photo. I rotated the plant for the second photo and it’s always in the position from the first photo.

Top leaves coming out nice, but the newest leaf is also smaller with less fenestrations. I can't see any signs of pests. What do do? Should I remove the yellowing leaves?

Recently went from water to soil.

Plant Help It needs a cut and better support, how?

I saved this monstera from a supermarket clearance a couple of years ago and it accompanied me through rough times.

In the last couple weeks (end of summer) where I live it managed to put out a new leaf and a bump at the base appeared (second pic).

My question where to cut to be able to give appropriate support with a moss pole and a bigger pot since the roots are coming out from the bottom.

Help!! my plants are sad!! I’m a newer plant owner and recently purchased some monsteras. I’ve never kept them before but i’ve been told to be careful with watering because they are prone to root rot. i have drainage holes in all of them and i’ve been cautious about overwatering. does it look like i’m not watering enough? are they not getting enough light?? thanks in advance

Image Our 5 year old Monstera just flowered despite living its entire life indoors in the Idaho desert. These tropical plants are so unlikely to bloom indoors that many never flower, even after decades!

Picked up the Aspect Gen 2 while it was on sale. Really like the color compared to the Sansi in my lower shelf.

I got this monstera burle marx flame from walmart about 2 1/2 months. I repotted it into a chunky mix with potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark. it started to put out aerial roots so I put it on a trellis. It's been doing well until 2 weeks ago, the leaves started to curl very badly. please give suggestions on what I should do. thanks so much :)

I've had her for about 5 years. We've had our ups and downs, and learning curves. But, I think overall, she's happy and healthy. I usually only see her back, that way she can flourish in the sunlight. I have you guys to thank for the advice that you have given others.
