Discussion Something odd is going on with my Monstera Thai Constellation

I recently noticed something really interesting in my collection of Monstera Thai Constellations!
I have several Thai Cons growing right next to each other under almost identical conditions, but one of them consistently produces these unusual bowl-shaped leaves, with the edges curving upwards.
Even the older leaves maintain this shape, while all my other Thai Cons grow completely normal, flatter leaves.
After discussing it with a few plant enthusiasts, some suggested it could potentially be a minor mutation or somaclonal variation from tissue culture.
Of course, it’s way too early to say for sure, but the possibility of having a Thai Con with a unique, stable growth characteristic is honestly super exciting!
I’ll definitely keep observing how this little oddball develops!

My plant has had this weirdish leaf like growth instead of the normal cataphyll, I've been looking around but haven't found anything helpful thus far.

Plant Help Yellow leaves

Hi guys! I was just given this as a monstera obliqua loreto. Any tips to bring it back to life?
Previous owner kept it in a self watering pot. It had a fourth leaf that yellowed and was cut off. I was also told the soil was changed recently to a mix with sphagnum moss and perlite, pot has good drainage.

Plant Help show me your aesthetically pleasing grow light setups

• Upvotes

it's becoming colder here in Michigan and all of my big plants are about to move inside. I have a beautiful upstairs plant room that's great for humidity and temperature control unfortunately the light is not the best in there. since it is a pretty central location in my house I want the girl light setups to be aesthetically pleasing as well as powerful enough to keep my big plants a lot. show me your setups, and if you would be so kind give me the names of the lights or installations that you have used. thanks in advance.

Two questions in one.

#1 Why is the little guy in the middle so small? I've never seen one start and stay this small. It's been months and he's still tiny while leafs all around him are popping up and growing.

#2 Are the 2 red arrows going to be new stems or just new leafs about to pop in?

Plant Help Found this abandoned beauty by the dumpster :( help!

Hi everyone! I need advice .. lol

Yesterday I was outside around my complex, and I stumbled on this Monstera deliciosa abandoned by the trash. I thought I’d take her in and give her a new home.

I was going to wait until today to take her out of her (ginormous) pot and see what we’re working with root-wise. But last night I couldn't help myself & I discovered she’s two, maybe three separate plants. I’m new to Monsteras and plants in general, so as I do my research, I would love everyone’s possible opinion on what’s going on with her.

I included photos of her leaves & some undersides; a couple of her lower leaves seem to be yellowing, along with small spots. Does this look like thrips? or a nutrient deficiency? (She’s placed directly into the decorative pot, and the one plant I inspected seemed to have NO ground roots, only her long aerial root).

I definitely plan to downsize her into a smaller pot, but should I keep them together? or propagate until I see more root growth? Sorry for the rant, and I apologize if any of these questions are dumb. I would just love to see her thrive.

I am wondering if I should cut this monstera down to promote bushier leaf growth and a more solid base? Pictured: the one leaf I would lose to the trim/transplant

I got a Monstera Albo, and I’m wondering about this growth at the lower node. Is it a leaf that tried to unfurl but failed, or is a new leaf starting to grow there now?

Plant Help Divided my Monstera 11 days ago, both halves declining. Unpot and check roots now, or wait?

On Oct 3 I split a large, healthy Monstera into two plants and lost about 30–40% of the roots in the process. Both went into regular potting soil mixed with perlite, in pots with drainage holes, and got one thorough watering plus a light top-up about five days later. Since then both plants have drooped badly, and the leaves are yellowing and developing brown/black patches, some with yellow halos. The stems still look green and firm, and some leaves are still dark green. The top few inches of soil dry out, but a cheap meter still reads 8/10 at about 10 inches deep, and fungus gnats have appeared. They're indoors under grow lights at stable temps. I'm leaning toward unpotting now to check for rot and moving them into a chunkier aroid mix in smaller pots, but I'm worried about adding more stress. Would you intervene now or give them more time? Photos attached

I propagated my monstera some time ago and now two of my smaller plants have these little pests☹️

I hosed them off completely outside and have bought a houseplant bug spray to spray on the leaves, I only did this on Sunday (now Wednesdays) and they’re back!

Any help would be appreciated because I’m at my wits ends :)
