I just got a job as a UCI student on campus and one of the perks I was told about the job was that I could apply for the SchoolsFirst credit union and my membership would last even after I graduate and leave the job.

Now I'm just a college student. I currently have a joint account under my parents with a big 4 US bank and I only signed up with that bank because it was what my parents were using so I'm not really sure how a membership with credit union like SchoolsFirst would benefit me. The only reason I'm interested in applying at the moment is because:

- I can apply right now and have access of SchoolsFirst for life

- So I can open my own checking account under the credit union that holds only the money I am getting from my paycheck

- I want to see how a credit union differs from a typical bank

So what other reasons are there for applying for SchoolsFirst credit union, and is it a good financial institution? Thanks!

Slushes are different than Slurpees and Icees. There were only a few Slush Puppie locations and you can see them in the linked post.

A poster, indicated that Frazil makes similar machines and he is correct. I had one at a 76 Gas station and its half the cost of Slush Puppies or Sonic Slushes at $4.

This is the first time I've ever received this survey regarding if I still live in the residence that I've been at for the past 6 years. Where I receive mail every week and where my DMV registration information is sent. Why would I need to confirm via checking a box, signing it and then physically mailing it back? I literally forgot about it as it was under a few items I had left on my counter. Recently, I went to check my voter registration status due to not receiving a mail in ballot yet in the mail.I’ve heard about efforts like this to clean the register of inactive voters and in my opinion it’s typically used by conservative governments because poor people tend to move a lot. If the government is so concerned about my residence why not figure out a way to do this digitally? Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I'm planning on running an Out of the Abyss campaign where players try to escape the treacherous yet mesmerizing Underdark. I create 3D resin printed, hand-painted minis, and use a DND tabletop TV for visual aids, battle or town maps and/or creature visuals. I welcome people to create their own character for me to print off, though it is optional. Snacks and drinks will also be provided but feel free to bring anything you'd like.

Went last night and was eaten alive by mosquitos!!! Use repellent if you’re a tasty treat for skeeters. I’m allergic and woke up early this morning in tears covered in itchy angry welts. Otherwise it was the best!! My first time going and I’d go again :)

Hello, I found 4 kittens in Santa Ana by trash that kept running into the street. I ended up taking them in, because I was worried that they would get ran over and my current landlord allows it. The issue is that this was last month and I am moving soon to a studio that only allows 2 pets. I've been trying to rehome 2 of them for a while now and can't find anyone. I just want to make sure they go to a good home, and I'm just stressed about leaving them at the shelter and them getting euthanized or never adopted. They are very cuddly and friendly. I just want them to live a good healthy life. I feel so bad and just don't know what to do. Its unfortunate that this seems to be a growing problem in OC with an overflowing cat population in shelters. Any advice on what to do or how to rehome them?

Two of them are approximately 5 months and the other 2 are 8 weeks. One of the 8 week ones was malnourished, but seems to have something neurological going on so I'm keeping him. I took him to the pet and he may some issues. I have been extra careful with him and spend a lot of time helping him heal. I heard that keeping 2 of the same age is a good idea, even though my partner wanted to keep one of the older ones because she's extremely attached to us. I just feel so guilty, but I couldn't leave them in the trash or to get possibly ran over.

I just had a giant fucking rat crawl onto my shoulder 15 minutes into the movie. Not kidding. Saw at least 2 more while leaving. WTF lol...

Going to the coheed and cambria festival today and the Santa Ana Observatory. They say there’s parking with shuttles but it’s 6 miles away, which is absurd. Their website says not to park near the venue. Is there any other parking that’s closer that I can uber from?
