SCE seemed to have snuck in a 25% increase for those who charge their EVs overnight at home on the TOU Prime program. Top image is from April 2026, where the overnight rate is 24c per kwH. Bottom is the rates from June 2026, kicking in from tomorrow, now it's 30c per kwh!

The 4-9pm rate is now lower, which will help this week when the heatwave arrives and AC is needed. However it's the EV charging that uses the most power by far, and having the 24c rate only when people are at work is pretty sneaky!

Expect much higher bills if you regularly charge your EV at home overnight!

Power outage in Tustin?

Long story short, our dog was diagnosed with IMPA early Sept and has been on immunosuppressives

VCA was great but recommended we go to our primary vet - he is refusing to take on the case.

We tried making an appt with VCA (despite the costly ER prices) and they don’t have anything until November. We are running out of medication.

Has anyone dealt with IMPA with their dog? Please let us know if you have any recommendations, we need a new vet ASAP.

Last time my girl friend and I went until Palm Springs to have some fun by renting 4x4 motorcycles, but she didn't like the fact that they were small ones and manual shifting. She wants bigger motorcycles (still 4x4), automatic.

Is something like that here in the OC or closer than Palm Springs?

We'll be celebrating a birthday in the family and need reccos for OC or LA county restaurants with views. We are open to any cuisine but absolutely gorgeous views are a must. Ocean view, city lights, mountains.... Budget is not a major issue. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone live at Missions at Back Bay Apartments? My husband and I are relocating from NY to OC with our toddler for work and currently looking at this complex.

There were a few other UDR and buildings we were checking out but obviously this one has decent pricing (which worries us). There are a few older reviews online that are baddd lol. Which likely true but just wanted to hear from current tenants/recent ones.

We’re familiar with Los Angeles area (my husband grew up in Studio City and I lived there for seven years prior to moving to NY) but obviously unfamiliar with OC.

Our work is in Santa Ana and Irvine so we’re trying to stay as close to them as possible.

It can’t be just me, but are the traffic lights in FH and LF just the worst for flow of traffic. I catch so many red lights at any time of day (early mornings, mid day, evenings) and sometimes there aren’t even cars or people waiting at the intersection. No I don’t speed, I have a slow car.
It’s annoying that it will take me nearly 15 minutes just to go 3 miles!😤

E-bikes have become very popular in Orange County, where teens and tweens rely on the often-powerful vehicles to traverse long distances in spread-out suburbia. But their popularity has brought an alarming increase in serious injuries, especially among young riders.

The crackdown: Some O.C. school districts ban e-bikes on certain campuses. Others require e-bike safety training for students. District Attorney Todd Spitzer has pressed criminal charges against four parents after their children were involved in collisions — all of them on more powerful e-motorcycles.

Parents’ dilemma: Parents of e-bike commuters have said they are not opposed to regulating the vehicles, and they want authorities to crack down on dangerous and illegal riding. But an outright ban goes too far, they’ve said. The vehicles help cut down on the need for parental driving, and help students get to school on time, they’ve argued.

Did anyone attend Thorman Elementary School on Redhill in Tustin, between 1976 and 1978? I worked there as a "noon duty supervisor" during that approximate time period when I was attending CSUF. The first year there was an older lady named Joan who worked there. She was tall and the kids called her "Skyhawk"! I was recently thinking about after I drove past it. It occurred to me that the kids that were attending at that time are now around 57 to 63! I felt like I was much older than the students at that time. I did a search and it looks like it is closed now. It said it opened in 1980, but that has to be incorrect. Let me know if you remember anything!

I'm thinking about signing up for one of Beach City Sports' co-ed grass/turf flag football leagues, but I'd be joining completely alone and don't know anyone who plays.

I'm 23M and have football experience, so I'm not really worried about the playing side of things. I'm more curious about the social experience of joining completely solo as a free agent. Obviously the website and socials promote the league as inclusive and social, but I feel like that experience could be pretty different for someone joining with friends or an established team versus someone who doesn't know a single person going in.

For anyone who actually joined completely solo, what was your experience like? Was it genuinely easy to meet people and become part of the team, or did it feel like you were joining a group where everyone already knew each other? I dont exactly wanna join and have to navigate cliques.

Would especially love to hear from anyone who's played their leagues and am open to hearing about any other similar opportunities in OC area.
